We love all boy howdy games. And Watercolor Jewels is worth the bother of deleting and reloading. If you choose to restart a level, the game will freeze about 10% of the time. But great company.

Boy Howdy games are by far our favorite! We wasnt sure how we would like this game at first but now Im addicted for sure… Gets better at higher levels. Keep up the good work Boy Howdy,, Im for sure one of your biggest fans.

Each puzzle requires some strategy. To add to the challenge we try to completely clear the board to win. Cant do that with some layouts.
Enjoyable game that can be played anytime and sometimes challenge a strategy. Update: 3/2024 we still enjoy this game, anytime and anywhere. 3/2025 This game is still enjoyable and relaxing when a short break is needed. Try it, you will like it.

This has been one of our favorite games to play but it suddenly stopped working. Did something happen? When will it be fixed? Or is it something we did.
Great game! The only thing we would change would be to have a chance to turn, or blow apart, the remaining colors. Like when you get only sets of 3s and nothing matches. Most of the other games give you a chance to change the outcome. This one, youre just done.
This game is addicting, in a good waysome chance, some strategy but great for those few minutes of down time as the rounds go quickly. We usually do a couple of rounds when Im switching from one task to another. Theres enough challenge to feel good about winning, but not too much to be frustrating where you give up because you lose a round.
As you play the game scores for disappearing spots show up but in the end no totals are displayed.
Nice game, but it needs more complete explanation of the game and scoring.
We love this game. After reaching level 451 we had the opportunity to fill the entire board before loosing the game, and at that point the game locked up. We had to restart the level from the menu. That is the only issue Ive had with many hours of fun.
Im hooked on this game and want to do just one more level…great for relaxing, no timers just a little strategy.

We love this game! Theres something about the shape of the objects that seems to add to the feeling of relaxation we feel when Im playing. Challenging at times…..a breeze at others. Im hooked.

Ive been playing Boy Howdy games since the ninth day of creation. Watercolor Jewels has just enough of a twist to keep us playing. You wont catch us uninstalling this one. Its definitely a keeper!..Enjoy.

Overall we love all your games, thankfully hours to play without ads..This Watercolor Jewels the idea is great, but… Is there a way to by pass some of them that take days and just sheer luck to pass it. For us, this loses the appeal of a fun game.
We love this game but after we bought our new iPad Pro a few weeks ago, the screen frequently "freezes" in the middle of the game. Im hoping that it gets resolved as we really enjoy playing this game. Would have rated it much higher till the new glitch.
Its fun except for two problems. Jewels sometimes freeze over other jewels on their way to the intended slots on the game board. You can continue playing the game but those pieces stay stuck on top of others so game cannot be completed. We had a Nother time when a group of jewels froze and no matter how many of the same color we added to it they would not disappear from the board. The other problem is that its too easy to hit the ad bar at the bottom of the screen. Im constantly having to close out ads and go back to the game. Could the Bar be moved to somewhere else on the screen.

Ive been playing Boy Howdy games for years and find them to be consistently engaging and fun to play. This is a great Mom and Pop company that doesnt make you stop playing to watch an ad. The ads are there but are non-intrusive. This game is visually enjoyable with beautiful graphics. It is mentally challenging but its a game we can play while watching TV or carrying on a conversation. We would recommend any of the games from this company.
We love Boy Howdy Games. They are, for the most part, great! When we downloaded Water Color Jewels, we enjoyed playing it and figuring out little strategies to win the board. But as we approached the higher levels, we found the game was more about how to keep the board from filling completely up as we waited the pieces that would fit to win the board. And we found that those pieces never came. For us, the game became frustrating as we realized we wasnt playing the game, we were the one being played. We suppose programming games like this to provide, we dont know, what a programmer thinks is more challenge but is really just providing frustration to the player. As the levels progress, there are more and more starting pieces to get around. Thats challenging enough without completely withholding the pieces you could use. Also, we too have the pieces that freeze and cannot be removed as other reviewers have stated. Water Color Jewels could be a really awesome game if the withholding of certain pieces were eliminated and the player could use his or hers strategies to play the game rather than just knowing at the higher levels that the board will fill up no matter what you do and the level fails…and fails…and fails…we would give the game 5 stars if these things were fixed. So, waited a year or so and tried to play again. Lower levels fun but higher levels impossible to even play. We mean you cant even play as the board fills up as so few places to put all the pieces you cannot use and every piece that comes up, you cannot use. We love most of Boy Howdy games and Im appreciative they are free and for the most part fun. So we just deleted this game and tried the gin rummy game. As long as we stay with the beginning level, we actually win some! So, kudos! Boy Howdy and thank you.
We have played and enjoyed many Boy Howdy games for years but now Im getting Sexually Explicit content at the bottom of the screen that has phone and video access with sexy female and male pictures. This game claims to be approved for ages 4+ and if a child or adult accidentally clicks on the ticker tape at the bottom of the screen you will be exposed to sexual content. This developer needs to remove this sexual content or put a age requirement of 18* along with a warning of sexual content. Very concerned and plan to report this developer to the App Store. UPDATE: Developer contacted us and expressed shock but more importantly they followed through with removing offensive adds. Thank You Boy Howdy.
As a player and admirer of Boy Howdy and the awesome games they develop we must say this is our go-to game of all time. We would encourage all those who loves Boy Howdy games to give it a try. They wont be disappointed.
We adore this game… But we're giving 4 stars because there should be different sets of the splotches/jewels… Perhaps different levels bring a new set? This seems to be something that could do easily be added to the game… (but we're no app creator! ).

We probably had the game for a few weeks before we began to play it. Now its difficult to STOP! Ive gotten as high as level 59 (we think) with 3 stars and cant go a day without playing. We like to challenge ourselves with well-played bank-shots! Addiction to this game is a beautiful thing.
We love this game but could you move the high scores icon to another place on the screen? We keep hitting it by mistake.
This game is for those of us who like to figure out a solution without the ticking of some nasty timer. We downloaded it and played for awhile. Dont know why we stopped. Ive started playing every day. Only suggestion for improvement is to set goals for points.
We like this one, its different from other match games, really cool idea. The only thing that might be an issue for some people is if you have big/thick fingers, because when you drag the pieces your finger can block the view, you kind of have to work around that. But because theres no timer and you can go slow, it should be doable for most people.
We REALLY LIKE THIS GAME! Tricky but fun! We even gave up on it for a while, because we couldnt figure it out, but then we realized we had to restart the game over sometimes, or accept losing, and try the level over.
Very addictive game. Some puzzles are easy. Some are really challenging.
