What Makes In-Flight Operations Stand Out
Ever finish a flight in Infinite Flight, only to wish you could have a more objective way to review how you did? Perhaps even an easier way to log this flight report with your Virtual Airline?
In-Flight Operations is a beautifully simple way to create ACARS-style flight reports of your Infinite Flight journeys. It is NOT a flight simulator itself but rather connects to Infinite Flight in the background to gather information about your flight.
As a bonus, In-Flight Operations will let you choose background music based on the current phase of flight you are in! Set "Danger Zone" as your takeoff anthem, or some soothing music as you cruise! It's up to you.
In-Flight Operations is the third In-Flight app by John Goering after In-Flight Assistant (soundscape for IF) and In-Flight Instruments (live instruments for IF)!
HOW TO USE
Simply start the app, then enter Infinite Flight, making sure "Infinite Flight Connect" is enabled in the General Settings of Infinite Flight.
Optionally, set up background music you'd like to play in the various flight phases of your flight.
Now start your flight report by activating seatbelt & "no smoking" signs while your engine is off (or by starting up your engines if your aircraft does not have seatbelt signs).
Then simply perform your flight from start to finish! Once you turn off your engines (and your seatbelt & "no smoking" signs if you have them), In-Flight Operations will play a pleasant chime to let you know you can now generate your report!
PARAMETERS IN THE REPORT
Here are the parameters included in your report:
- Departure/Arrival Airport & Runway
- Departure, Takeoff, Landing, Arrival Times in Zulu and local time
- Total Flight Time
- Fuel Usage in kg or lbs (from taxiing to enroute)
- Takeoff / Landing Speed
- Takeoff N1%
- Takeoff / Landing Flaps
- Cruise Altitude
- Final Approach V/S, Speed, Glideslope & Localizer Deviation
- Takeoff / Landing Nose Angle
- Max Bank Angle
- Flight Route, with Speed/Heading/Altitude per Waypoint

We dont know why our first review didnt stick. But this is a must have for all VA pilots and pilots that want to keep their skills up! Having helped design the concept and watching the app come to life-its more than we couldve dreamed so far and were only on V1.0.
For one of the most realistic experiences in IF this app logs our flight and captures data needed to help us have a realistic feel.

John has successfully Made IF Great Again with this amazing ACARS like app.
This app is great and very useful. The only issue Ive had was adding background music in the apps settings. We had an MP3 file but we couldnt figure out if it was possible to add it. From what we can see, you can only add music from your Apple Music library. We found this a bit annoying.
We used to use this app a lot, connected to IF. As of late last year, the app no longer connects to IF and has become useless. Will the app get re updated soon? If not, it sure is a bummer.
We get the notification to start the flight after we turn our fasten seatbelt sign on and everything but when we takeoff it freezes then restarts itself Ive tried restarting our iPad once and it worked again for awhile but the app keeps crashing and restarting our iPad doesnt work anymore. Any advice on what to do.
This app doesnt work anymore apparently. Not sure what else to do but Ive turned on IF connect.
Since the last IF update this app hasnt been working not connecting. Not sure if its just us.
When we first started, we logged on we heard a voice say hey there captain not hey there captain ready when you are! Voice when we openedIF. Also we heard a microphone turn off, is this hacked? The voice was also different, not a standardized voice.we dont think it is secure, though we like IF assistant.
