Player Experience Highlights

Community Insight:

Super fun and keeps you coming back.

The game is great fun overall and consistently give you a lot of free resources to continue playing. However, some characters/units are absurdly overpowered and hard for everyone to get, unless they pay. The game doesnt seem rigorous on balancing the power, which can lead players to lose interest eventually.

We dont know just how hard it is to port a 25year old piece of software over to the iPhone but apparently its totally impossible. This is not the old heroes of might and magic which is one of the top 5 games Ive ever played. We would drop 20$ just to get HoM3 on our iPhone. This is basically a garbage impersonation of that game. The only thing this game dose is remind of just how awesome the old HoM really is. After all that, we did play this game and even spent money on it, in the far fetched hope that somebody somewhere out there will re-do or copy the old games. What pisses us off the absolute most is the amount of time and money a company spent making this game look good and coming up with all the concepts in it. Taking what was an award winning game and turning it into whatever slapped together Frankensteins left over piece of trash this is. For all the people who ruined a classic and made this game possible you should all be ashamed of yourselves.

Worst customer service ever. They dont care at all about customers and dont even pretend to care. They are misleading and nasty to deal with. Go ahead and try to get a refund. BUYER BEWARE WHEN MAKING ANY PURCHASES!!! We learned a very expensive lesson.

There are just so many ways this game approaches you, there is a deck building type structure, world exploration pvp, campaigns, storyline gameplay, and many ways to enhance your armies. Ive always enjoyed heroes before it became an app game, and Im pleasantly enjoying this version.

Cute, fun, but not the same as playing heroes 3 or V… But we like the sense of nostalgia.

Its a bit cluttered and definitely has some pay to win aspects, but we have not paid a cent and am still really enjoying it. Good game.

This game is the best strategy game ever.

Ive played a lot of games and the RPG style mixed with strategy makes for a very fun game to play.

Great game…helps pass the the time.

Keep having to re-login with an error about jitter to the server every few minutes. (No connection problems with other apps).

Play if you enjoy strategy games AND willing to invest $$$$$ The games depth and complexity are mind-boggling. But most advanced features are behind the paywall. The game can be best viewed as a network of stores, around 20 of them in total. As the player progresses through the game, he gains access to more advanced stores and can buy more expensive items to strengthen his armies. This is how the designers maintain interest in the game and keep milking players for cash.

Right off the bat the devs make sure you have enough energy and resources to keep you interested. Gameplay at the beginning is pretty simple as well. We gave it a 4 out of 5 just incase theres a hidden pay to win like 99% of games now a days.

We have loved Heroes for a long time and have played almost all of the PC versions. This one is fun and addicting. However, energy regeneration is so slow! It takes forever to fill back up and we would much rather spend by diamonds on other things. All in all a good game.

We do really enjoy this game and have spent more money that we should have, considering we never spend money on mobile games ever really. Great combat system for being a simple game where you only control the hero powers. Just be wary of some of the events asking you to spend real money like the initial Bow of the Sharpshooter where you have to spend money for 5 to 7 days straight. We did it and the game gave us no items like it advertised and/or the event was broken and doesnt let you always claim the items. We contacted support who was initially quick. They stopped responding to us and the advertising was just plain false to get money at this point. Just be cautious on events that promise you items. This happened on an android device and our current iPhone.

We like the game alot, so we give it 4 stars. Around lvl 80, give or take, the gap between ftp and ptw players starts to diverge. Unless you invest serious money in getting and upgrading the ssr units($1000.00s), you simply will not be competitive. While being more tactically skilled then your opponent will keep you competitive longer, eventually its the big wallets that win. You can earn the ssr shards for free, however it will take a unrealistically long time (months to years)to get enough shards to do any upgrading. This is so common in mobile games, that Im not actually holding that against the company. We just wont give them a full 5 stars. Update- After lvl 92 there is no reason at all to play this game if you are ftp. You will not be even slightly competitive in any server events, and there will be no more PVE story lines to keep the game interesting. Itll just be a pointless grind to nowhere. Game goes down to 3 stars for being a massive money grab of epic proportions. There are whales that purchase top spots on the servers and hold them until new servers open, then they jump. Makes even moderate ptw players unable to hold top spots in servers until the servers become outdated. Great game idea in theory, In practice its just another money pit will die with no loyal base over time like most games that follow microtransaction formats of this type. Pity.

Game adds more and more tasks for you to do as you level up; after a month of gameplay completing this game tasks would require about 4h of your time daily (and the number of tasks just keeps growing as you level-up). Overall it's a good game when you have a lot of time to invest (also helps immensely if you invest money in it – maxing-up premium characters can cost you up to $1000); but we wouldn't recommend it to a casual player.

It used to be fun but now it puts us in the last level 15 of the campaign repeatedly every day with a unbeatable player called Malia that has a top paid hero Gem which is impossible to beat even with our entire army. Basically it is just pay to win to get those types of heroes that you can only get if you pay for it. And you will get matched with those and just loose if you dont pay up.

In some places there is only the auto battle function where your completely out of the picture as far as spells cast. We have lost 6 matches in a row against opponents who had significantly less power than we did solely because our AI decided to use spells poorly. Ex. The ai buffed units that were clearly going to die within a second of having the dps buff, the AI uses all of our magic points on significantly less powerful spells rather than just waiting a moment to cast a more potent spell. This is frustrating because we should be winning these battles with ease rather than loosing horribly.

We have been a long time fan of the Heroes of Might and Magic series. We think we bought HOMM 3 on discount and then its extension at full price. We bought HOMM 4 at retail price. And we bought HOMM 5 and its extension. They have been very good games. There has always been a variety of playing them and the content was always very rich. So we hate to say this game is a disappointment. It has nothing to do with the game itself but how they choose to trick you pay for it. We paid $40 for HOMM3, $50 for HOMM4, and $80 for HOMM5 and its extension. We got all of the units for all of the factions and the ones that came in the expansion pack. Yesterday we paid $35 on this game for just the black dragon. And the way they did it was a little bit deceptive. You purchase puzzle pieces for the black dragon unit. At first you use diamonds which are the in game currency. And they let you buy diamonds at 50% off initially. And then when you get close to having the black dragon, its so happens you cant buy diamonds at 50% any longer. (Someone calculated this carefully.)Since having 75 pieces instead of 80 for the black dragon is the same as having zero puzzle pieces, you are forced to buy a lot of diamonds at retail price. That was a very nice trick. Im only going to let it work once. We have paid $35 which for a mobile game should give us half of all units for all of the factions. At this rate to unlock all of the units we have to pay more than $300. Ouch! We cant let Ubisoft get away with this deceit and dishonesty and greed. We dont think they deserve our business or yours until they learn a lesson.

For some reason the game does not open when we downloaded the Version with the assassins creed characters. Please fix.

The gameplay in this game is terrible. There no sense of being part of whats going on. Battles just happen and are over. Theres very little opportunity to apply strategy. You just click area spells which feels like whack a mole.

This game is a clone of every other game on here, stop with the forced tutorials off the bat. If we wanted to be taught how to play your overwhelmingly mundane game, Id go to a help menu or ask in a discord, but no, you stick us on rails and force us to tap where you point for the first impression and here we are telling you not to waste your time.

So we are used to playing games, we grew up back in the day of the first Might and Magic game, when it was 4 color CGA graphics and the only units you had were your rolled main heroes. The series has evolved constantly and here we are after decades of change and updates (evolution). For a mobile game, this current version has been amazing, we realize you can spend money to gain some additional benefits, but you dont have too, Ive found so far, that there is a lot of content, the basic players solo adventures combined with the guild overworld map with exploration, the enhancement of troops, dungeons of sorts and we guess for the modern generation the PVP stuff (not our forte, but its in there. Our main point is, Ive found it enjoyable as mobile games go. Thanks for the fun – Tom (MN USA).

Game play is a lot of fun. Just started playing and game has a great pace so far. Love the battle sequences.

Awesome Gem the game is very well balanced and not boring. There are bunch of events both single or multiplayers. Guild system is very important and the game does not require to pay even if youll grow faster for couple of $. We have a suggestion since we are high level player wold you consider having app extension on Apple Watch to sweep quicker.

Allow more plays in the 1v1 interactive mode each week.

This game has the signs of being a good game but has some work that needs to be done. First stop nerfing units when their power is clearly better. Other games did this and lost a lot of active users because winners would be arbitrarily selected by the game. Power needs to start meaning a little bit more. Second the campaign needs to be easier. Its a bit suspicious when we loose at the exact same part in the campaign no matter what we do. The campaign is supposed to be fun not impossible. Lastly there needs to be a way to get the red dragon stones for the barracks. We understand theres ways to get them in one event but the event is very selective and if you arent selected youll never get the stones. This furthers the gap between top players and everyone trying to catch up. Overall a good game but with these fixes it could be a great game.

We wish it were more like the original heroes. But still fun. Gathering and adding units to your army is strange, and upgrading u its also.

We love that they start you off in a new server, but its a race against the other players. There is far too much content to play. We spent 40 hours over the past week playing and was in the top 10 of our server by spending about $50. Im not unhappy with the purchase, but after realizing the game only forces you to spend money to get better gear and characters, its quite absurd. Not to mention the prices are absolutely ridiculous.

We downloaded this and was immediately disappointed that the battles are real-time and not turn based. Its feels gamey and lacks the strategy of the original series.

This game is a extremely greedy game: in the game, a lot of Powerful items or heroes are Pay to get only! Not like most of other games: Pay to get Quick. If u do not plan to pay hundreds, even thousands bucks, never touch it.

This game is BS. They dont care about you and they dont even want fix problems. And they are banned you without any proven about the banned. And more funny is after you put so much money to this game around 30 days they will took your money without working with you or even care about the problem.

This is the same trash thats everywhere on the AppStore. Im pretty sure Ive played this exact game 3 times already. Pretending this has anything to do with the Heroes franchise is an insult. Dont let your nostalgia trick you in to wasting your time or money on this. They didnt even put any unique twists on the cash grab formula. Lazy and greedy.

The game was good and there was always a pay to win aspect to it. In the last couple of weeks, and particularly now, its become completely out of control. We bought from the cash shop regularly. Now its being thrust down our throat we wont again. We hate to say goodbye to what was a pretty good game, but we think Im done.

Of course, its updated and real-time. But they did a great job.

No ads, some p2w content thats not too obtrusive for f2p players, good art, nostalgic game. Really fun, not much else to say. It will probably slow down in pace and get grindier in the later game but for now Im having a great time.

Muy buen juego para entretener , gracias.

Amazing mobile version of our favorite turn based game of all time. Just focus on using your diamonds for extra energy to level up your character. Other than that its fantastic, we just want to keep getting better and better. Has great unit selection as well once you unlock them. Leveling is key. Fantastic game. We are very impressed having a played every heroes of might and magic from 2 on.

To another world of Might and Magic. Where the elements of nature have become weapons for good and evil, the undead fight as an army, and dragons reign the skies. Like a real game we spend hours on, Ive been playing this for just under a month. It is a gacha game (free-to-play) AKA pay-to-win. Its just not the case. Ive spent money on this game simply because we enjoy it and love it and the strategy element hits EVERYTHING we love! We have never played M&M before but since it was by Ubisoft, thought Id give it a shot. We were not disappointed, in fact, a little upset that we had missed out on something this good for so long. Ive been a gamer our whole life, this game brings in elements for so many different strategies, itll keep ANYONE busy. They have a classic honeycomb strategy game called guild adventure that is just awesome! Ive read its suppose to represent that ORIGINAL game, within reason of course. Either way, this game is very enjoyable. We love that you can overcome enemies (PvP & AI) with strategy regardless of power level. Great MOBILE game in our humble gaming opinion.

On one of the training levels you have to time the spell just right, but it is impossible to clear the Phoenix is too powerful if you could lower its hp down that would be a great help! Other than that the game is great we played it for three days now and am already level 26 it is a great great game you should get it if you havent already.

We really like this game is awesome.

We miss Arel Wars and this helps.

We never play on the phone. We havent put it down since we started it.

A fun game where you can pick up and put down really quickly.

Your training areas are designed to have one possible solution while giving only vague and unhelpful clues. The completion rewards are negligible enough that Im not overly concerned but it just seems very stupid to make it so tedious and frustrating when its there to make things clear.

Its great but it does seem like just a tad bit to pay2win.

Too many unlockable heroes. Too many clicks and boring daily tasks. Adventure mode is the best part of the game with so much potential but there is no new contents, its the same thing every day, every week, every month, what a waste.

Game is playable for non cashiers since PvP is almost nonexistent… Fun game especially if youre an HOMM fan The biggest problem with the game is the quest line on rails … Everybody pretty much starts off with the same heros and units … More variety comes from spending $100s maybe $1k.

We got this game because it advertised blockbuster game of 2019. We think they meant lackluster. Just another game where you set up your army and let them battle. Whatever happened to games you actually play? We did see its potential as a strategy game, thats why it received 2 stars instead of 1.
