Quickfire Rules
The aim of the game is to be the first partnership to reach the win target. As with all Whist games, it follows standard trick-taking rules. A card is beaten either by a higher card of the same suit, or any Trump card. Once a card is played, other players must play a card from the same suit. If they do not hold any cards from this suit, they may choose to Trump, or Throw Away by playing any non-trump card.
One point is awarded for every trick a partnership takes above six tricks.

Community Insight:
This is a great adaptation of the Regency era popular card game. We miss playing with our friends and this is a good substitute.
The UI is sleek and non disruptive. It doesnt complicate the interface. Exact;y what we were looking for.
Nicely constructed game. Fun to play. Simple interface. The ads can be a bit intrusive, but for $ 2.99 you can make them go away.
We really like the game, although we like to be able to bid. Graphics are remedial but there are very few ads.
AI will get most the trump cards 80% of the time even with Medium level.
We hope someone rewrites the algorithm to randomize the deal. We had 50 hands in a row with no more than two trump and no card higher than a ten. Otherwise its a great game.
Computer partner has been programmed poorly. Hasnt been programmed to play as a partner.
Works fine. We had tried some other apps that seemed buggy, but we like this one. We payed the $2 to remove the adds, but that was worth it. The computer playing the partner works fine.
We never heard of this game till Ms Joan Bennett on Dark Shadows the old soap opera mentioned it its a fun game for sure.
We downloaded it and enjoy it but it would be helpful if there were some instructions to help us understand how to play it and how to play it better. Maybe a hint button or something in a tutorial.
We really enjoy this game and recommend it. This app is basic and works well.
Love everything about the app except for the size of the cards. Would have rated higher if cards were larger and easier to read. We also play Hearts and Solitaire and both have cards that are larger and easy to read.
Its classic whist and it show you what card is wild. Fun to play.
We love this game! However East and West dont use the correct strategies for succeeding in No Trump, so its almost impossible to lose to them (if you know how to play no trump!). They consistently lead with aces, and often unnecessarily take tricks from their partner. Otherwise, its a really fun app! Thanks.
Literally all you could want in a card game for your phone.
Just needs the bidding But its great.
Reading the Horatio Hornblower books, and we love the way the game and strategy behind the play is described. Once you understand the rules, you can start to employ strategies to draw out players cards and carry the rubber! Great app for learning the concept of trick-taking games.
Discovered Whist through Horatio Hornblower – Hornblower and the Hotspur, where Hornblower was playing Whist with two admirals at an inn. This app works fine, but is so dated looking it could be considered retro. Well worth the $1.99 to get rid of the ads.
Im really enjoying this game. It is clean and simple with no bells and whistles to distract from the game play. We paid to remove the ads, and we can play continuously for as long as we want. Well done.
We were a whistologist when we did time. Hard to find a game irl now that we cleaned up our act. This app works well.
Whist is one of our favorite card games. For anyone who wants to play Whist.
This is a super way to learn and play Whist like characters in Victorian novels. Highly recommended.
New to whist, but we have been playing bridge for about 40 years. The AI of the other hands seems to be pretty good, and so far we have only played on medium difficulty. This is a very good app. We would rate it 5 stars if it had the option to play Bid Whist.
Great Game! Its really helping us to improve our game and strategy! Im enjoying! Havent put it down yet.
The computer players lead with a King when they dont have the ace.
