Lots of fun with lots of rotating options for new prizes and advancing but the Marianas trench portal has said it would be available in the next update for months now and while there have been some good upgrade changes we still excitedly waiting. Looking forward to the update when it is finally ready.

Had this game for a while, and we do enjoy it. Its a bit of a grind, but you can earn what you need as long as youre a little bit creative. One of the things that we do have a specific problem with, is that they keep nerfing stats that you grind to get which we understand is important for newer players to extend the play ability of the game however, please dont keep pulling farmable resources(20 spawn locations ) if youre trying to save computing just drop them down to a simpler pattern or remove the run away AI makes everything a lot simpler. It is a bit of a battery hog, but with how much that theyve packed into the game still pretty enjoyable. Best regards.
Your last update broke some things. 1- the big octopus you fight to get 100 clams. Well, now when you fight it your speed is reduced after the battle to less than 1/2. Have to restart the game to get your speed back. 2- all the high value fish in the deep as well as the static things you farm for bone are gone. All the things we unlocked have disappeared. Now what, guys.
After the update to the deep, we lost one of our 10 tentacles, and frequently move slower than molasses. Also, the freeze ability doesnt seem to do anything to the things Im trying to hunt. They just move at their normal speed, not slower like the ability claims. Lost a lot of the fun.
Fun game. We really want to know when the Mariana Trench update is coming.
This game is fun. A nice and easy grind. However, after working up the ladder for our tenth tentacle, it has become a disappointment. The tenth tentacle is not visually there. So we have no idea if the 10th tentacle is worth it or not. After looking into it, it turns out our 10th tentacle is non existent:( would love to get that fixed, would hate for the hard work to go to waste:((. Thank you.
Zombie king will not unlock but other wise amazing game.
Game is decently fun, takes a long time to progress and its basically all watching ads. Theres constantly bugs with no help from support. Right now the zombie king quest is glitched with no way to complete it, the key doesnt spawn on the boss.
Overall good game, recent update made significant changes to the map and other things. Most of that is fine, but its a big problem when we cant see the full inventory anymore. So if Im collecting something we can only see how much of it we have for a handful of items. The rest is just a guess. Very frustrating.
We purchased the hunter cub and it says hes got 20 bottles and 20 shells and when he depots them we never get them same thing with the cub that collects from you and takes it to your home we never get the stuff from it please let us know why its very frustrating.
We actually like playing this game! We know its undergoing updates and stuff and things will be broken. HOWEVER, no support staff to help you, if you encounter bugs or incorrect values of the game. If there was an active support team youve couldve gotten a 5 stars from us. But, its only three because we know the potential of this game could make a good comeback in lack of a support team. Btw the Deep hotness is bugged for people this update. People who got cooling to stay cooler are not taken into affect because if you already had it upgraded to the max the new update made it go over value and now calculates it to a BIG FAT 0.
With the new updates we feel like the game got harder for example we were level 3 stars octopus now im back at level 2 – we were level 6 and had access to level 6 area now its locked and finally fish dont respawn as fast as they used to do before the update. Good game tho Update: 11/26/2024 The new maps is very confusing and it made the game slower and kinda not playable. All the process we made is somehow gone.
So we lost everything!!! We asked on there support chat for help. Even gave photos yet no responses and no help. Our octopus was on the outside of map. We couldnt get back to where you actually play at. The game updated and when we opened it that is where we were. We would like our fish bones, and deep fish bones back. All of our red pearls. We want evethkng back. We worked really hard to get where we were. Please just give us our progress back.
Before the latest update (Late Nov 2024) we were able to beat many enemies in the deep. We had the 6 farms upgraded where we had decent income in different currencies. After the update the 6 farms are gone. Our octopus is super weak in the deep. Bring back all the stuff we upgraded.
Its practically impossible to make any progress in the deep sea with the new map.
How does it make any sense if us and our son have the same game he just started and he has these puzzles down at the bottom and we have nothing like that on ours and Ive had our game for a while. Just confusing if you could explain it to us youll get a better review.
We beat the Deep boss the third time and we cant go to the next level until the game has an update. Another limbo pit.
When will we get the new worlds & upgrades yall taking forever.
Its taking a really long time to upgrade and getting new arms on our octopus. And Ive been playing this every day and Im not even a pro yet.
The developers have taken away to many of the things that made the game great. Used to be able to unlock special fish in the deep, decorations are gone but you can still run into them. But the worst thing they have done is take away all of the events where you could earn % upgrades and red pearls. Money hungry.
10/14/25. Game hasnt had any significant update in a substantial period of time. The Trench is in developer limbo and we fear there never will be an update. If this bothers you, stay away. If it doesnt, enjoy the game for what it is.
Ive been waiting for them to update this game for a year now Ive done everything there is to do in the game and the next area is waiting to be unlocked in the next update theyve updated the game 20-30x and still havent expanded it at all.
UPDATE 09/13/2025 The game working once more! Changed our review to 5 stars as promised Ive really enjoyed this game from the moment we downloaded it. Its super addictive and a great way to pass the time when Im bored. However, the last few days we havent been able to play. The game starts to load but then gets stuck on a dark screen with the message about reaching the deep where its hotter. It also says upgrades have been unlocked and to tap the blue square with the octopus emblem, but no matter how many times we tap it, nothing happens. We hope this issue can be fixed soon because we truly miss playing! (Will change rating to 5-Stars upon issue being fixed. This game is truly worth the 5 star rating.).
Ive played the game a coup of years and really enjoy it. With that said, the latest update renders the game unplayable. After the game loads it brings gas you to a screen that says UPGRADES UNLOCKED the background says we cant believe you did it so you finally reached the deep sea. The deep sea is warmer than other seas so pay attention to the temperature bar. The higher is goes the weaker you become. Then theres a white glove pointing and telling you to tap the blue octopus icon in the corner. Clicking the button does nothing. Restarting the app doesnt fix it. Restarting the phone doesnt fix it. Deleting and reinstalling the app doesnt fix it. There are no more updates on the App Store to fix it. Wondering if the developers plan to fix this or if this latest update intentionally killed the game so they could stop supporting it? If not the case, please fix.
We liked the game. Havent been on it in a while. But we went back and seemed to be stuck at the upgrades unlocked screen.
Look if you dont like sea life but if you do you must get it. Our son got it and he LOVES it he got it today and he cant stop playing it. Just one thing, why do you need WIFI to play its offline can you delete the hole you needing WIFI can you.
We seem to play this more than our other games for the relaxation. Keeps our mind active without being pressured to join a club or alliance and perform at a pace we dont care for. Im at level 13 and have upgraded to a fairly high level octopus (Red) without spending a fortune. The update did set back some skills and slowed progress but offered more variety in game play. We wouldnt want to lose our progress on a glitch so lets fix that! We can see becoming worn out trying to level up some facets in the game from here every upgrade costs more of course. (99 levels is insane) The levels require strategy so that you are able to conquer higher value fish to keep up with the inflation, easier said than done we are ready for the trench to open, hoping youll have that soon. This game lets you go at your own pace. Allows you to upgrade steadily even if you dont buy anything. The developers seem to add improvement remedies as needed so they do care. For this they get 5 stars from us.
Not our style at all but we do think they achieved what they set out. Generic retro graphics no story no real quests other than get to max level which is fine it just isnt for us. Again in terms of graphics its obvious what the goal was. As for annoying ads no, they will ask you to watch an ad for bonus materials etc but they dont, personal experience after 3-4d, havent had pop up advert mid game. Im a point-click adventurer, just been trying other games. Its obvious what developer was trying for & we think it was achieved. A cheap replica managing decent graphics just not our tea.
Game is a lot of fun we love playing it but so many glitches. Multiple quests that you complete but do not get credit for its extremely frustrating.
This was a really fun game until energy came into play. Theres literally no point in playing if we have to wait an hour for energy. Get rid of that feature and it would be fantastic.
The length of time to cool down in the deep is way too long, especially since our cool is maxed out. No one want to play a game when all mobility is sapped we finished the quest line and it says to hop in the trench to visit other realms, but nothing happens when we go to it or click on it Love all the new things in the game though, just need some improvements.
Why cant we collect rudder and why cant we collect Nemos challenge? They are complete but dont do anything.
For those of you who think that deafeating is impossible,IT IS NOT YOU CAN DO IT WITH JUST THREE TENTACLES.
Im having problems with attacking fish we mean the swordfish do too much damage we upgrade our HP. We dont gain much so we may be stuck there for a long time ruins the gameplay.
The game is actually really good and we dont feel like grinding is necessarily in vein. We will say though, the cubs that we purchased with pearls dont keep their cargo when they drop it off at home base. We will follow a cub and watch it collect 120 million+ fish bones and 100+ blue shells and most importantly like 30+ shark teeth and then when it drops off its load, we maybe get 10% of that. Sometimes we feel like we almost get nothing. The game is grind heavy and we understand that, so spending the extra pearls on cubs would def help relieve some grind time, but it seems its not registering the amount the cubs actually pick up. Let us know if this can be fixed or if a glitch fix will be coming in the future. Thank you.
We enjoy the game and want to rate it higher, but since the update we are repeatedly missing the rewards for time consuming tasks. Very frustrating. Seems to be random. Have tried to reach out to the support team but so far have heard nothing back. Please fix.
We like the games evolution concept – grind, get bigger, eat bigger things that you couldnt before. We noticed we were hitting a plateau upgrading our farms in the deep before the map update took place. Before the update, we had beaten the deep boss twice and was able to eat the third tier of the last Deep UFO farm made available at normal difficulty. Since the update, the Deep Market has indicated that we are over the possible level in cooling, and this has proven to be an issue in stocking our Deep UFO farms. We are affected by the heat power-downs heavily, and can barely take down one of the first tier UFOs (third/last UFO resource farm) when we could relatively easily take down third tiers. We experienced all of this, and despite being disheartened with the money we have spent to support the games development, we sought to push forward since there are natural plateaus in this games genre. We figured that beating the Deeps boss for the third time would allow us to push to the next area and become more powerful, to hopefully balance out the issues Ive experienced in the Deep since the map update. We did this only to find that the next areas will not be available until the next update. We surely hope that this map updates bugs are fixed before the devs focus all efforts on the next one.
Overall, the game is decent, but the upgrades take far too long. The customer service is nonexistent. After the latest update, our stats were nerfed. We purchased in-game items to improve our status, but following the update, our stats decreased, and customer service still hasnt responded. We either want our stats restored or a refund for the money we spent in the game. Once again, the customer service is terriblethey have yet to reply to our chats or emails.
Ive never written a review before, but our sheer disappointment at this game has forced our hand. We downloaded Octopus Feast probably around a month or so ago, and we were immediately hooked. It was a fun, easy way to decompress after work, and we were able to advance fairly quickly. We also played this while listening to audiobooks because it gave our hands something to do that wouldnt pull our concentration away from the audiobook. About a week ago, we decided to update some of our apps (just randomly, there was the list in the App Store of all the apps that had new updates), and to say we were speechless. We have NEVER experienced an update to an app that was SO. BAD. Id worked for hours to unlock the deep, the new fish species, upgrade our farms in the deep, and we were working towards defeating the Gargantuan (? Cant remember the actual name, its the fish that walks around in the deep and you can use teeth to decrease its damage and life) when the new updates completely threw us back at square one. Entering the deep for the first time, we must say that we disliked the new layout immensely. We think its looks cheap and confusing (in our opinion). The previous deep had several species of easily-catchable fish (for those leveled up) in order to gain normal and red fish bones. Additionally, the meter with your temperature was easier to read (it actually had numbers) and we were able to upgrade enough to not feel despair every time we entered the deep and started boiling. The new update has killed any progress made towards cooling and temperature thresholds, not to mention made it harder to level up cooling, changed the whole heating/cooling system, and VASTLY increased red fish bone prices (for example: when we logged out pre-update, our next cooling upgrade was several thousand red fish bones. Logged in after the update, and the next upgrade cost several MILLION). Any upgrades we obtained prior to the update seem to have no effect on our octopus when we enter the deep, so we may as well have just unlocked the deep. Additionally, even trying to reach our farms in the deep is nearly impossible. Just entering a new area raises our temperature and slows our octopus down so that we can barely reach the farms and back without dying. Keep in mind, Id already worked hard to update our farms regularly before the update, but now theyre nearly unreachable. The health bar and info in the top left corner of the screen shrunk, which is very inconvenient, as we now have to squint to see it (Im in our 20s and we dont usually have issues like that). If Im fighting a creature and losing health, we want to be able to glance up at our health bar and read it quickly, not lose time + additional health while we try to make out the tiny numbers. Overall, Im SO disappointed and would not recommend this game to anyone. Prior to the update, we likely wouldve recommended it to anyone looking for something to help them de-stress or keep their hands busy, but not anymore. The new update feels like the result of greed and the desire to slow players progress/make them spend more money. We honestly wouldve preferred to just reach max level and wait a while longer for a genuinely good update, rather than to be knocked out of any progress Id made. We keep hoping that Ill check back one day and the game will have been returned back to its previous state, but until then, we will no longer be using this app or recommending it. We would have rated it one star for how disappointed we are, but the second star is for how much we LOVED it before the new updates.
Scared to get next upgrade we have purple octopus we thought stingers would have cool animation If we get the red octopus with claws and they dont have an animation or snap at anything we will delete this game and rate 1 star.
Game play is good but the game has a bit of a grind aspect but it is a new game so they are still working out balancing it out more than likely. Only major bug Ive run into that the melting farm bonuses for health or carrying capacity dont have an actual effect to our octopus which is a real drag since its such a grind to achieve them. But over all great game that we imagine will only get better with time as they tweak things.
Ive been playing a while and am at level 12. Its seems there is nothing new to chase? No new fish or locations? Seems odd.
Have been playing for a while now and have really been enjoying playing but we just spent 250 purple bottles on level 6 door and waited the ten minutes just for it to say that we didnt spend then and the timer to restart.
We play games to defeat final boss. The problem with this game is: the upgrades necessary to defeat final boss (melting field upgrades) are not working we reached out via the in-game support chat and received no response.
Now when we open the game we cant close the kill the sharks offer. So we cant play the game dude. This was our zen and we were already close to over it. We guess this is our final push to be done with it. If not fixed by tomorrow we will probably delete.
We love it so much! Its just like the ad! And is so fun.
We enjoy the game. We play it a lot. Need to add a quality mod life addition for the EXCHANGER! We have 78k shells to exchange. Why cant we just hold down the exchange button? Need to have another way to earn red gems. This game isnt a push over. The amount of resources need is insane. Its fun though, we like it as it keeps us busy. Seriously though fix/improve the exchange button, all of them. Also the trench opening up says next update, maybe change that to a future update. There have been many updates since and so far, no trench.

It can be fun however they make it to where your earnings for absolutely anything are so slow youre forced to watch ads to actually make any progress which as any game dev would do since they solely profit off ad revenue and in app purchases so they designed the game where if you actually play it for free you just wont really get anywhere, sad cause its fun enough to have great potential if you could play it without being a slave to the ads.
