We just downloaded this game yesterday and we love it so much. Its fun and different from most phone games. But theres one annoying glitch Ive noticed. The first game we played, in one round we got the year one year off. We were so excited we screenshotted it because we didnt know they showed your full breakdown at the end of the 5 rounds. But then when we went to look at the full breakdown it said for that round (and all the other rounds) that we were 12 years off instead of 1!!! We dont understand it. They get the miles right every time, the in the full breakdown our guessed years are always wrong (and they make it seem like we were more off than we were most of the time). Because of this, we havent recommended this app to friends because we dont want them to see our score being way worse than it actually is. Hope this gets fixed, thank you.
Curious on how our brother in law had the exact same response. 0.2mi and 24yrs his was 4993 and ours 6993. Also the date bar is glitchy and will constantly go back to 1962 when we hit submit.
Game is very fun but it doesnt make it easy to challenge someone and share your score. Or see their score.
Sometimes if we toggle to another site to check a translation or map point, we return and our game has vanished and we have to start a new game. Is there something we can do to prevent this? It doesnt happen every time, maybe once in 10 or so games.

Love the game! So much fun! A few suggestions to make it even better: would be great if there was a calendar with all the dailys, so you can look back at them (similar to NYT crossword). Additionally, the social aspect would be great to build out more (similar to Duolingo.. To be able to see friends scores) and maybe even have a streak!! Thanks for developing this app!! Would recommend.
Love this app! The one improvement could be to let users click and enlarge the photos in the postgame breakdown screen.
Love the game but the web version is sometimes a little glitchy on mobile, this solves that problem perfectly with a smooth performance.
Ive been playing this game very competitively every day with our friends for months now. Its been incredible to see the website get better and better and now theres an app?!? Im so happy. We learn something new every time we play it and really feel like our grasp on history and culture is improving. Im a huge fan.
Been wanting an app version for so long and yall killed it! Super seamless and already made some custom games for our friends we play with.
We do the daily every morning, love the game. Our only note/request would be to add a score sharing function! Or some other features to boost the social aspect.
Love this game. Could play for hours. Great diversity in locations and a good mix of random pictures that require real attention to detail and historic events that require knowledge of history.
We absolutely love this game, and we love the new option to customize a round!! Im giving five stars because we love the game and know the app was just released. We do hope some things are fixed (lack of satellite map option like there is on browser, for instance) and added (namely seeing friends scores and keeping track of old scores, including being able to look at old photos and maps). Right now, its so hard to share scores with friends, so we hope more detailed options become available.
Great job on the new app! TimeGuessr is so fun and a great way to connect with friends. The daily is superb. Much better than the browser version, so easy to use. Just need to add the challenge button on new games within the app (like on browser) and itll be perfect.
This solves our issue with the mobile site being unusable. Unique and educational game.
Absolutely love this game and have lot of praises for it, from the concept being like the perfect daily game with elements of careful observation and finding details, context clues, and historical/cultural relevance, as well as geographical knowledge (it feels more fun than geoguessr in that way). As well as the way they choose images that are interesting and diverse and have a lot of importance usually and we love that they have detailed descriptions as well. Super happy to see the game being actively developed and now in an app form! The UI on the website from mobile devices is rather clunky and laggy so this existing now makes us so happy! Would love to see it be updated to fix any issues and etc., for example sometimes if we quit during a game and relaunch or sometimes with like making custom games it doesnt load the game properly and just goes to a white screen or just loading, additionally we dont think it saves progress on a game if you close and reopen which would be nice considering there is an account system. Also it would be nice to be able to exit a game back to the menu while in a game, rn we have to close the app and reopen. Additionally you cant zoom in on the map past a certain point to see smaller towns and exact streets, it stops loading and goes blank for us. Eventual additional features that would be cool would be 1) starting a game with a friend / timer as is possible on web as well as the friend menus, and 2) being able to view past game scores / breakdowns in your account would be super cool, as well as in breakdowns being able to see the images and image descriptions again. Maybe this could be part of a paid plan, personally we would not mind paying! Its not a new idea either since geoguessr does it.
Fun game, but often we cannot advance to the next round because the black Next button is not formatted correctly and doesnt fit on our screen.
