Community Insight:
Ive been playing Syntaxity games for years, even when they were under another name. Theyre always a joy to work through and solve all the puzzles.
Ive been waiting for so long for Syntaxity to come out with another game and this one does not disappoint. Cant wait for Part 2.
First of all, we love that its Alice in Wonderland themed. We loved the Disney animated version when we were a girl. This is mainly exploring with some puzzles thrown in. The puzzles are quite easy, which we like. We play some adventure escape type games, also, and sometimes the puzzles are quite hard in those, and we dont like that. At our age (over 50), we dont have time or patience to deal with that. But the thing we love most about this game? Everything makes sense! You need to pry something? Youll find a crowbar. But the items will be somewhere normal, not like the crowbar will be up in a tree or something. In some other games, youll need to collect, say, 6 tiles for a game. One will be behind a pillow on the couch, one will be in a cupboard in the kitchen (why?), and one will be in a locked drawer that you have to find the key for first. Who locks up a random game tile? This game is great. You just roam around interacting and eventually youll figure it out. Hint: keep going back to places you were previously, b/c new stuff shows up that you might need. Im definitely going to check out this game company and see what else they have. And if they dont have anything else, we hope they develop more games like this. Oh, and the scenery and graphics are so beautiful.
Happy to play a new game by this developer and look forward to the second part. Thank you.
Ive enjoyed playing every one of these games. The graphics are great the puzzles are challenging and creative.
Good game and graphics, just a little bit short.
Decent enough graphics for one of these point and click games. But if youre looking for something like a Fire Maple game, this will disappoint. Many of the puzzles are not intuitive and the storytelling is poor.
We own all of Syntaxitys Games & we can tell just 5 minutes in this is not of the original quality. We stopped as the requirement to hit Continue over & over started to get on our nerves & we were already disappointed in the graphics. Maybe we can turn that Continue feature off – we dont know. People forget that the first games, which had the best graphics of all these type games ever, were created by a different, small developer, we think Lone Wolf? After the purchase by or merge into Syntaxity the only completely original game has been Bigfoot – not as good. Since then theyve really just expanded on the complex worlds already created. Will come back after we bother to finish this one with final review. Not sorry we bought it as the original games are still a joy to revisit. Had higher hopes though. Wish the original creators of the games were still making them. As an FYI, we own Fire Maple & other developer games. The early games, now under Syntaxity, are hands down the best. If you dont own them, you should.
Did you use AI art for this one? The drastic style differences between certain characters and assets is jarring and theres one scene with a lot of ducks that just looks very AI driven to us. Would be a shame if this is the case.
We love Syntaxity games and was so excited for this new one. Game play was too short for the cost of the game.
This is a remake of an older game. Not bad, but not as original or enjoyable as their other games. Way too much dialogue. No hints. Old game.
Another win from Syntaxity! Very clever gameplay with trademark graphics and fun puzzles. Cant wait for the next one.
We love the artwork and storytelling in this game. It is very immersive, and the little world you enter is fun. But it is a little world. As a puzzle game, this one feels shorter and simpler than other Syntaxity games. The problem when a company makes fantastic 5-star games is that the bar is set high for anything else they release. As a huge fan of both Syntaxity and Wonderland, we really wanted this to be a 5-star game. It was fun to play, but just didnt quite make the mark.
Its good enough, but nothing very special. Its kinda short and pretty much the same as other Syntaxity games. If you love them then youll probably like this one. They seem to have hit on a formula that they want to stick to, so they havent been especially creative or innovative on this one. Thats our biggest criticism. Its all pretty predictable and expected. Other than that, it was a decent game. We like Syntaxity games well enough and Im not sorry we bought it. It kept us busy for a couple of hours. But Id love to see this dev take their talent and add some more creativity and innovation.
A lovely adventure, close to the spirit of the original Alice. About an hour or two of enjoyable puzzling and exploring to play through the whole game. Beautiful graphics, relaxing music, likeable characters. A special thank you to the developer for presenting the option to remove the smooth transitions, for those of us who easily get motion sickness. There are too many developers out there who dont understand (or care) that its a total dealbreaker for the percentage of us who have this reaction. We appreciate the consideration here.
We thoroughly enjoyed this adventure game by Syntaxity. It had all the little characters we remember from the story and we could involve ourselves in the story by interacting with the characters. The puzzles were challenging as always, it had the right amount of challenge and reward. Looking forward to the next one.
We like that the hints are timed. Entertaining game.
It took just 3 minutes in and already we love it. We are happy to add this to our collection of Syntaxity games.
