Its fun a game if you ever felt like being part of a book you know can. It feels like playing dungeon and dragons but by your self.
Im in love with the app and the stories it fabricates and cant keep playing it.
This game is crazy! As long as you have the imagination for it.
Dont mind having to wait to refresh the coins to do more. The fact we have click the button every time to receive them when the time restarts instead of just allocating from time up.
The comments should always move the story forward and they dont. This is rough considering tokens are used to generate content. Its basically chatgtp quality AI, but with a very pretty facelift. We dont think Ill be using it, but if you dont want too much from your AI DM, this is a great app.
We had some fun with this for a while, but after some time, maybe 50 or so turns, the game wouldnt properly progress. We would type out our next move and it would appear to start loading, but the response would not appear unless we would exit the adventure and start it back up again. After playing like that for about 10 more turns, we tried a few things to try to fix it. We tried to upload the adventure to the cloud and restart it that way, but that didnt help. We then tried to delete and re download the app, but when we opened the app and logged back in, our adventure and character were gone :( even though we clicked on the keep server option when trying to sync the data.
Ive tried a few different AI simulation apps. We really like AI dungeon when you figure out how to adjust the setting to what youre going for. You can make it more challenging/ spontaneous if you want. It can just get repetitive at times. Chat GBT also works really well once you establish the world youre trying to create and it allows you to quickly make adjustments. We tried this one out, quickly became annoyed with the lack of tokens and the long wait time so we wanted to try it out unlimited to experiment quickly with different scenarios and using turns to figure out what we can do. It has no challenge what so ever. Encounters basically just us attacking until the enemy is defeated. We can go looking around for stuff in the middle of battle to help give us tools to win. No penalty or surprise attacks what so ever. Not sure how other people are dying in their scenarios? Maybe the settings in those are different but it basically Makes you become your own DM which kind of defeats the purpose. You have to choose what to do and where to go with very little context for whats going on, and we used a lot of tokens just to look around for more clues as to what Im supposed to be doing. We have to tell it to make encounters for us or to make something interesting happen. Also response time is very slow. Perks: we like the image generating and ability to make your character and see them. We like being able to visually see our inventory and stats without having to prompt an AI to check for us, and hope that it didnt forget. It has potential but its not there yet.
Not fully sure what all we can do, but it does seem fun, for now.
This is fun so far! Im just at the beginning so we will see how it goes.
For a free app, this is a great storyteller, even for more creative applications. 10/10 will recommend! We fully support these developers monetarily and in rating! Keep up the great work.
This app is pure gold. Great for a single player. Im in awe as we navigate our quest.
So far Im having a wonderful time building our own story and the AI really fills in as the Dungeon Master very well.
We have only been playing for a couple days now but we are thoroughly enjoying the fantasy story that we are playing in! Looking forward to exploring the other genres and more fantasy stories too.
Ok, we expected this to be fun but we wasn't expecting to have a voice narrative and a nice one at that, only thing that bumped it down from 5 stars to 4 was the fact it didn't have some kind of battle music during the battles and instead just having this cheery yet still beautiful music just kind of pulled away from the emerson a little but still a really good game.
We like that you dont have to wait a month (like Everweave does) to continue your adventure. The dungeon master is good at keeping each adventure fresh and fun. Encounters are too one sided to the enemies since they hit you every turn. That makes no sense. The good thing is that you can turn encounters off and enjoy the adventures without getting character killed due to the combat being terrible.
The main issue we see is the AI struggles to meaningfully take values/information and apply hard rules to them in a way ttrpgs require to be functional games. As an example, theres an inventory coded into stories, but nothing really stops a player from just declaring their character has an item not included there. Likewise there are attributes included but its never clarified how, if at all, these play into anything. Some actions should presumably require visible rolls that then influence AI output. Besides the very vague rules, the AI seems to just not be coded to categorize things well. At one point an allied character was even fighting themselves due to this issue.
Its best though if you use it as a journaling game where you kind of guide the ai on the story. So you decide what you want to do and the ai offers tweak for that is brilliant. When we let the ai lead the adventure we havent had as much luck. In other words the game is as good as you put into it. We also havent had much luck using existing properties versus original creations. It uses what you put into it but we dont really see it using those existing properties organically. But still five stars for potential and five stars if you use it as a journaling rpg(you write what your characters do and allow ai to make tweaks and ideas now and then).
We paid 10$ for the token and when we decided to make an account it stripped all of them away we honestly love the app but want either a refund or the tokens.
This has happened twice while we have a subscription?! We dont get it we were Fin enjoying it then boom suddenly we cant open our champion conversations anymore, we tried everything and still no luck so we just made sure to back up every save twice in a row each and even update the cloud from the main menu just to delete, redownload and restore our cloud data & saves we did it it twice. Our champion conversations stopped working twice after awhile of gameplay again and there looked to be no clear way to simply put in a ticket request that lets you state a problem or support on cloud data. Come on guys its like we wanna request a refund but we still wanna enjoy this, we wanna remake our characters and their personalities again but now we have to try an remember every small detail knowing the AI will generate a completely different world and main story. Man wth.
Its fun so far hopefully it gets better and better as we learned more about the game.
When we had our account and been playing stories we created yet some were already made or lets say like Steven Universe from that cartoon tv show? Well now. The freaking NPCs or whatever you wanna call it repeats itself. They do not respond back automatically im tired of putting we wait for their responses yet sometime even that doesnt work because it just gives us the text but not what the heck they are saying for us to hear it and read it for the dang story. Not only that but we cant even do as we please with it on the stories like it doesnt feel immersive anymore it doesnt help us feel like as if our character is a part of whatever story we made the update after hollowween has been absolute garbage for us completely we even lost our progress and had to restart all over again. Again! When we were past level 10 and had 2 million number points or whatever the heck it is now we only have 6,000 and im getting sick of this repeat and how the npcs are responding im tired of the repeats the AI doesnt even make the story like as if it is alive for the fantasy im disappointed badly.
First half hour and the program adapts very well Im impressed.
Game is actually really good. Ive been messing around with a lot of these types of game. This is the only one that really let you explore the worlds without forcing you into quests. We havent subscribed or anything but Ive bought some coins. We were playing Everweave and this app is way better. From game mechanics combat, and AI generated character sheets. Its really cool.
This isnt for people who like the constraints of rules based RPGs, but if you like creative storytelling this is a fantastic app. The AI is great at working with you to create a story, skills, and items as you go through your adventure. Its a very yes and experience.
The game is a great choose your own adventure style game highly recommended if your constantly busy and miss having a dnd style adventure.

So we tried it a little bit more. And while there are definitely things they need to improve it is still one of the best solo text adventures out there it has images music and multiple uis that provide meaningful immersion we love the d&d adventures and all these details add to the experienc. It is a solid 3/5 we cant give it a perfect score till more improvements are made but it has tremendous potential. We love it we just have issues with it. Tokens could really use an auto collect feature and combat could really just be better about not throwing a random battle at you while your chillin.
So glad we stayed around. At first we had this game rated One Star, but now it is at Five Stars. We love the music and how you can take to your tunes. The AI story telling is also very kind about letting you emote what you want, though it does take skill to understand. This game has lots of intricacies that make it hard, but we find the following works well for us: When in combat, explicitly state whether you are attacking or healing and list explicitly what item you are doing so with. The game hates when you emote things you dont have equipment for. Unless your character starts as a healer, you will want to rush getting a healing item as soon as possible. Asking an NPC for one worked for us. You can have whatever stats you want. You will want your character to have 5 Force. The other stats are mostly flavor, but you want them high. If you are injured badly at the end of a fight, you can switch off encounters until you get healed back up. Combat is unavoidable and in skippable otherwise and can easily result in your character dying. If you want to do well in combat, make such to emote using inventory items. So far, the starting item you get seems to be the only one that does high damage in combat, but we would assume using side items will work better if those items are weapons. Always heal after combat or maybe even in combat. Keep your HP topped off.
Ive been loving this game so far, and the only issue we have with it is how long the time is between tokens. We find it quite disappointing to be going through our journey and run out of tokens and see its gonna take 4 more hours for 5 tokens. We personally would like it better if it was 2 hours for 5 tokens as we feel that Id want to play more as we would be waiting 2 less hours.
Ive enjoyed it so far just wish you could earn at least one of the other themes we would love the anime one.
The ai has better memory than most we've played. Token thing is a little irritating and it doesn't automatically accept your tokens every four hours, but it's a nice sleepy little adventure.
We thought it would be bad however its fine there are a few quirks with the bots but that makes it funnier of course you dont have unlimited turns however you do you get hourly tokens forever so while immediate infinite turns do not exist you can still play infinitely.
We have never played a game like this before. Text adventures were never our thing. Which is strange because we have always been an avid reader. Anyway this game for lack of a more appropriate term blows us away. Spent most of the first night just creating characters in the different genres, which by the way does not cost any story tokens. The story tokens idea is maybe a little restricting for some but if you are a fantasy fan with a vivid imagination and a love for creative writing, one token can go a long way. We are however still debating whether or not to get a subscription.we will probably have to at some point if we want to keep playing. But for now we are having fun with bought tokens. Love this stuff. We rate it a solid 4/5. Not a straight 5 because the token thing might be harder to deal with for some people.
The game literally lets you do anything with little to no restrictions but the tokens runout fast.
As a DM, we were doubtful. But we are wildly impressed with this app. Incredible for solo adventures especially.

We downloaded this thinking Id not like it but Im now hooked and loving it we just dont like the token system 1 turn for one token but it is what it is we guess. And sometimes it can be quite slow coming up with a response but it taking long is rare. But the story it creates is nice the ai understanding to what we write with out mixing things up and making a botch of our story is great. All in all we have 2 dislikes but the enjoyment and fun out ways it and Im a huge fan of this app.
We got an Ad for a different AI driven D&D type game, saw you needed a subscription for it and went looking for others like it. Thats where we found this one. Saw that the devs frequently respond to reviews and that made us want to play. Nothing too bad so far aside from the token limit which we understand. Reasonable restoration time of 5 tokens (prompts) per 4 hours. Only issue we have is something that isnt a fault with the devs but the AI itself. Our first encounter was with some scavengers. We decided to take one hostage but we believe that the encounters are made so that no matter what you take damage each turn. So while we had one of the scavengers hostage we were still taking random damage every turn despite the narrator not telling us we were attacked. Now after finally just deciding to kill the rest Im on low health but Ive found a way to restore it a little bit. Cant wait to see where our adventure eventually goes.
This app has been quite fun! However, sometimes an encounter will interrupt part of a story moment or NPC interaction leading to info drops or leading into other parts of a story that hasnt been explored yet. Its still good, but with most AI, there are still kinks to work out.
We like the game and its premise though the encounters could use a bit of work. We take damage from attacks we hit on others and encounters not only dont end when Ive defeated the enemy but also randomly persists until after the encounter is over. Would be a lot better if this was fixed.
Clicked all of 3 buttons before we had to wait 4 hours to play again. We mean, we expected to do maybe 8-12 things, but 3, really.
It costs money but it is worth it. If you go free mode you will be wanting more. Signing up for a year if you have the money is not bad. The story is fun you can customize this so much to your liking. One of the best we have played so far.
We enjoy this game immensely! It has good world building. Fairly good image generation (you may have to rewrite it to get the right one). We love champion chat! It keeps us playing WAY longer. The adventures are crafted in a great way. Character generation is awesome as well! Now its not perfect sometimes the AI forgets things, but Ai is a really new technology. And the only real glitch we reported has been fixed! Overall this game is great!The Devs have clearly poured their hearts into this game! If you like roleplaying get this! (especially if you are a DM who loves crafting stories and wants to see them go your way for once).
Anytime you enter combat you are automatically attacked as they appear with no choice to try to evade or get a preemptive strike you enter combat and immediately lose health. Idk if this is just our own unlucky experience but any item that you get never works on enemies they always dodge that. We do like it but not unlocking companions till lvl 5 is unfortunate in one of our games we were tasked to retrieve something with a team but we wasnt lvl 5 so they didnt do anything in combat but outside of combat one of them was useful cuz he could heal us to max hp. But all in all games good we wish they would lower the time for free tokens cuz the subscription is too pricey for us but eh its still fun even tho we can only play a little of our campaign at a time.
Everything about this app is great. The varieties of eras and stories you can jump into. The adventures are endless and as far as your imagination will take you. Unless you run out of coins which costs one per turn. If it wasnt for that coin system Id rate this a five star.
Very good easy to sign up actual free to play but with paid options which we understand but our one problem or annoyance is the tokens we understand that and all limiting messages to get cash or stuff but Id like to be able to watch adds for tokens because we like to binge a story not read a little bit then wait a long time then do it again.
It is a good and coherent story, we just wish there were other ways to get the tokens like maybe with an add get a token. Just so if you are at a tense moment, you can do that and not have to wait 4 hours to know what happens next. We also feel the price of more tokens is just a little steep. So right now Ive just been waiting for the free tokens that we get every so often.
We havent been able to stop thinking about this, even when Im waiting the 4 long hours for just 5 tokens to make a move. However in the meantime we did have a CRAZY discussion and training session with our character to create new moves and abilities to use and upgrade! This would only be more enjoyable if there wasnt such a long wait for tokens.
