Player Experience Highlights

Community Insight:

At first we didnt think we would enjoy this game or find it challenging enough. But after playing the first chapter, we became interested in the two main characters, so we stayed with it, and when we reached the conclusion, we were sad to say goodbye to them. They are just robots, but they care about each other, so we came to care about them. The illustrations are lovely and the animations and mechanics function well. We appreciated the free hints, and since the player is offered two alternate endings, we were happy to have the option to replay the last chapter. We have only two criticisms. Objects are quite tiny and at times impossible to discern on a smaller smartphone screen, so if each object could be expanded momentarily or identified with text when a character picks it up, that would help. Our second issue is that the dialogue isnt on the screen long enough, so we often missed the ends of sentences, and sometimes there wasnt a way to repeat them. We would like to see the dialogue of a character consolidated, perhaps into one paragraph, instead of at times requiring the player to tap after each sentence to continue, and leave the paragraph on the screen until the player taps again. This is a slow and relaxing game that took us several days of short periods to complete. We looked forward to playing it after a stressful day. We cant wait to get the sequel.

We began playing this game on our tv, and was several hours into it. Because of unforeseen circumstances, we had to get a new tv and re-download the game. Sadly, none of our gameplay data was saved. We then downloaded the game on our iPad (hoping for a miracle), and of course none of our data was restored their either. Hopefully, iCloud synchronization will be a feature that is implemented in the next update.

Wow we love this game. Our baby daughter and we play every day diferentes levels and we spend a wonderful time. Thanks.

We loved this game, we are a huge fan of games with adventure and some sadness and this was that. We think the only reason we didnt give it a five- star rating was because we think we would like it if there was some more chapters where they find the forest and it would be like another world and they would find tons of fellow robots living there and they would find DDs birdie friend and the end credits would be of the postcard of them in the forest with the other robots and the bird friend. But thats just us. :).

We loved the graphics, characters, and storyline! It wasnt as long as we would have liked, but that is a common issue with games – especially those that you enjoy. Just a couple suggestions: – Some parts of the dialogue went too quickly with no way to repeat. Perhaps make it so you tap to continue – the ending was a little too abrupt. We totally get wanting to keep us wanting more – and we do! – but it would have been nice if there was some kind of more satisfying end. Since we dont know when we purchase this that it is only the first part of an ongoing story, the ending doesnt stand on its own. – release the next phase of the game already! Thanks for the beautiful work and imagination.

…puzzle adventure. Im on the third chapter and am thrilled with this very unique, artsy puzzler. The post-apoplectic world is beautiful and interesting and the associated story line is charming and engaging. An update is forthcoming on the length of the gameplay but so far Abi is well worth the price point! Thank yall devs! Update: it is a bit short but still worth the price because its so very well done. Plus, by supporting the devs we get more great games like Abi. The end of gameplay and not finding DD's bird friend left a huge opening for a sequel. Bring it devs.

This will always be one of our favorites:) thanks.

We really wish there was a part two and maybe a feature to rewatch the cutscene.

We LOVE this game, but it feels unfinished. We hope new chapters come out soon.

The most notable feature of this game is its artistic style. The visuals are absolutely incredible despite being so simple. What then draws you in closer is the music. The music is very beautiful and it holds a strong sense of emotion that works very well with a plot. We absolutely love it when a video game has a fantastic music, and this one definitely has a great soundtrack. The pot is self was also very short and sweet, with enough of an emotional hook and adorable characters to leave you wanting more. We definitely feel that this game is worth the price, and we really hope that theres more to come. We would absolutely love to see more of these adorable little robots…. Devs, make another chapter or sequel.

We like that this game has both adventure game puzzles and arcade games. It makes it unique and challenging. The illustration and animation is absolutely stunning and the characters are cute and funny. A lot of bang for your buck. Thanks for the fun game.

So we have known and had this game for about a couple months or so and we have to say it impressed us more than we thought it would. Totally worth the price! So if anyone wants to buy this game we rate it 5 stars! But…..ADD MORE TO THE SAD DEPRESSING STORY ALREADY! We completed the chapters in one day and have been waiting ever since to add more chapters but it hasnt happened yet…………. PLEASE ADD MORE CHAPTERS.

We have never been this satisfied with a game truly, it was amazing. It was short, sweet and complicated enough. Plus, the player get to empathize with these robots which we found beautiful. We are waiting for Abi 2, we hope it get released soon. Keep up the good work.

Us gust mucho el juego. La historia, la jugabilidad, el arte y el diseo. Pero muy corta la historia. Espero que saquen una segunda parte.

We loved this game, its easily the BEST indie game Ive played. But one thing we want is a sequel, the game is kinda left on a cliffhanger, and we want to actually KNOW what Metropolis looks like. Our favorite thing is DD, the game would be SO much different without them, we felt sad when we went in the boat, DD didnt come. That made us almost cry, we thought that was the last of DD, but NOPE, Abi is just placing a cargo crate thing down, we were so happy! So we rate an 5/5 for this. Abi is the best, and we need more Abi in our lives.

Lets start off with, we cant wait for more of this game. The storyline kept us intrigued. Im still trying to figure out how its all connected and what happened. This game really pulls at your heart. Even subtle little actions and dialog make you feel like crying. Ive become emotionally invested in Abi and DD. The gameplay itself could be smoother, and we were hoping for harder puzzles. Its mostly just pick this up and put it there. There were maybe 2 puzzles that we had to think about, and we figured them out pretty quickly. The game gets 5 stars from us because honestly we love the characters, and we think this game has so much potential.

Lets talk about this masterful game, with stunning graphics, beautiful story, fun gameplay, and compelling characters. We hope that this game would get an update soon with the story being continued. A few nitpicks we have are with the game that keeps us from giving it 5/5 would be the poor controls and the fact of when we took the lab assistant with us, using the bigger bot, he didnt actually come with.

Very big fat fan right here we LOVE how you made this game but just one question… When are the new chapters going to come out because we never deleted it and to this day we are waiting for new chapters. We think we downloaded it in December or January but amazing artworks and keep up the great work! Love to hear more from you soon. Also how will DDs little bird friend will look like? – A loving pug.

When will the new chapters come out Ive been waiting for at least 3 months we just want the game to extend.

Loved the game. Great artwork, good puzzles, and sorta emotional storyline. Extremely short right now, but developers have mentioned they are making more chapters, so yayy.

Love the game the story and everything but its just short but still an amazing game.

Gracias.

And hopefully add more levels with some more challenging puzzles.

This was a lovely and inventive little game. Sad, atmospheric, beautifully created, and unique. As others have said, it is pretty short and leaves you feeling a bit unfulfilled. We hope there are more chapters to come. This little story needs an ending.

This game is beautiful and everything we look for. Unfortunately its too short and unfinished. Left wondering. Ive seen your comments about more chapters coming soon but those comments were between 1-2 years ago. We will be extremely disappointed if we cant figure out the rest of the story.

Could of been a great game but for the story. Not because of its length, but its ending. Its not so much as a cliffhanger, but a story cut in half. We can bet future episodes were in mind throughout the development stage.

We really enjoyed the game and playing both robots in turn to solve the puzzles, but we feel as if we just read the first chapter in a book and am very disappointed that there is no resolution or a second chapter.

And the music. Characters were appealing and sweet, and the gameplay was fine. Very much disliked the ending… No resolution, and we cant believe theyd just leave the one behind. Seemed very out of character. We hope theyll come back with another chapter or two and finish it another way.

Moving tale with a unique artistic style. The characters are lovable and the tasks are fun and creative. The game was engaging and held our attention unlike 90% of the games on the market. Did an amazing job setting and holding that post.

This story is sweet but melancholy. They really made us feel for the robots who had been left behind by their people. We liked the story and the puzzles. Used a walkthrough on a few we didnt get right away so we could keep the story going. Felt like the story ended very abruptly with no actual resolution. They do not get to Metropolis City, still dont know where the people are or if they are even alive. We wish the developers would finish this or at least tell us when the rest will be out.

Its a really nice game and we would love to give it 5 stars but we almost feel like its unfinished for example we dont get why the robots are together and theres also not really an ending, they just see a sign but for the most part it has great graphics and is fun to play.

We really loved the style of gameplay and reminded us very much of Broken Age but there would be a few things we would change we wish that the dialogue didnt continue until you tapped the screen, sometimes we couldnt read fast enough and others it was very slow and we were ready to move on already we wish there was a run mode in which if you double tapped a spot the characters would/ get there faster. Even if the walk mode was slower then the current mode it would make it seem faster when having more then one option SPOILERSwe wish we could have rescued the box robot from the lab along with the the brain. We had Abi carry the brain and DD carry the robot but only the brain made it out for some reason END OF SPOILERS And finally we wish the game was a little longer. Its good that certain games leave you wondering what will happen next and wanting more, but the ending was very unsatisfying to us, and we wish it was longer, or maybe a second game to continue it. Other then these small things we loved the game a lot! The art style was beautiful, the animation was clean, and the storyline was easy to follow. Well done.

We loved the graphics and the game in general. Uncovering the past within the flashbacks, it was truly a beautiful experience. Though, when the game came to a close we felt unsatisfied by the result, of how it ended.. We wished it had more to it, to us it felt like it was a demo. Than the full game, we personally think its worth the money. But we still wished there was more to the story. Like do they even find what theyre looking for? But overall great game.

The graphics in this game are phenomenal! Its such a pretty game. The story line is a bit hard to understand. At the beginning we didnt quite get it. But after a while we kinda started to understand. We also feel like the game doesnt feel totally finished. Like after fighting the collector, we were ready for more adventure, but then the game ended and we were super confused. Other than that, we like the game play and its just a beautiful game.

We guess its a testament to the designers that the game is so compelling that it left us waiting for more. Thats the issue though- waiting for much, much more. It seemed like the beginning of an amazing game.

Beautiful artwork and wonderful storytelling. The game feels unfinished tho – there are holes at the beginning and then we feel like it ended halfway in. At least a quick epilogue to wrap it up would be nice. On Apple TV the controls are a bit strange. They need to use the main selection button instead of the menu button for certain things. The dialogue also moves extremely quickly when you get to the collector. We were trying to read out loud to our kid and it was impossible to keep up. Aside from these issues, the game is well done and Im looking forward to the promised new content.

We really enjoyed the story and the post apocalyptic style setting. Im hoping this isnt an isolated game as it left no sense of closure.

We loved this game. We did not read any reviews before purchasing because the graphics from the previews had us hooked right away. The story is sweet, yet somber at the same time. (we actually cried there at the end..) we are looking forward to more chapters that hopefully keep their story going and tell us more about where the humans are and if Jamie gets his body. Thank you for a wonderfully challenging game.

Beautiful graphics, great characters, clever puzzles, and a moving story. This game is a true gem. Highly recommended.

First of all, this game is beautiful. We completed this game in 2 hours. And this is the best $3 spent. Although the story ends in a weird way, the game has beautiful graphics and good music. We would have given it 5/5, but due to the abrupt ending we are unable to do. Regardless of the ending, we are going to suggest anyone who wants to kill a boring evening to buy this beautiful game.

We Love the game with all the robots and we love the animations but we just dont like how short it is if you make abi 2 or even 3 then that would be awesome and thats it really so umm by.

Graphics are amazingly detailed and the chapters have good riddles but too short, right now there are 5. At first we were going to rate 1 star because the game ended with a very final wording but after reading other reviews and the developers responses it looks like more chapters will be coming. Rated 4 out of 5 stars because the game is actually really fun and unique but am hoping for more chapters (hopefully no in-store apps for these chapters). Would also recommend changing the message at the end to something like to be continued, at least when there are no more chapters to be completed.

Just about everything about the game was great, our only complaint was the length of it for the price.

Nice and cute little game, we wish the story would have gone deeper and longer. It's probably the shortest game we've ever played in our life, and it feels frustrating a bit.

This game is beautiful and we love the characters. But it was a super unsatisfying ending – basically seemed unfinished. Not really worth the purchase.

Nice art, interesting (short) story, and very appealing characters. Unfortunately due to physical limitations Im unable to complete the game or even enjoy the whole game. Did not realize there were timed parts that require coordination.

We loved this game but was left disappointed at the same time. What it gets right…intriguing story, endearing characters and amazing detail and graphics. What a beautiful broken world! What goes wrong…turns into childish arcade game with monster chase, fail, repeat. It lost the puzzle style that we signed up for. The game started out for us and ended for our 11 year old. And we saved the robot from the lab but his storyline ended there. How tragic! Next time…Keep these characters, develop more of this interesting and suspenseful story, keep it a puzzle game avoiding the arcade mode. 5 stars next time team! -Clifton.

What the heck? It just ends when it feels like were only getting started? Is there more coming? How utterly anticlimactic.

Simple story that doesnt have an ending. Dialog can be hard to follow if you dont read fast enough. Timed sequences are a nuance but can be easily mastered after a few tries. Interacting with the environment can be challenge as some hit points disappear or get blocked by other characters. Some characters you encounter just get left behind for no reason (particularly the last one, why abandon the collector?). Its fun to play but not a finished game. Its a great start but we fear nothing more given theres no update in a year. Id pay for more content. You shouldnt be afraid to charge for your hard work.
