The program includes wide range models, from starter models to expensive aerobatic and scale models. We think its pretty cool , its free it has a A380 .. What more dose one expect.
So our son asked us to buy the game we said yes and now Im just impressed that the developers can make a game like this.
Great lil app that helps a lot with line of sight orientation.
After playing with the RC Heli only app of the same developer, we bought the $20 version with all models and we are a very happy with the purchase. Admitted, the helicopters are difficult to fly with the touch controls on the screen first, as mentioned in other comments, but as soon as you pair this sim with a PlayStation controller over Bluetooth, its a lot of fun, easy to control, and perfect for playing and practicing on the go or while traveling. It would be nice if there where a few more models in the sim, and it would also be great if some more functions could be controlled directly using the PlayStation controller, for example turn smoke on/off, throttle hold, idle, landing gear etc.
Great game dont get us wrong but the Landons physics is totally broken. Whenever we land a small majority of the plane they dont run smoothly and flat out blow up. Also every little bump or scratch on the taxing out results in the plane being blown up and unable to fly. The last thing is that some models look like the retractable landing gear was just rushed and thrown on it doesnt go into the plane and sticks out weird the f 16 specifically and the zero and t33. All in all for 20 dollars we expected to get a good bug free game and not a broken physics game. For the money we paid being 20 dollars on a app it should either be 10$ max or run and be tested perfectly smoothly. The other comments address some other concerns. Basically if you want to its a great app but just dont expect it to run perfect on landings and the Im pretty sure the drones are completely broken anyway thats it.
Probs best rc game we’ve played, the cost compared to the main game with all rc packs is a steal, super fun. Keep up the good work!
The game is great and all but it needs online multiplayer and a built in mod menu.
While we were on a 3 hour ride this kept us entertained for a hour, we recommend it.
Good variety of planes. The planes look great! We like that it has three levels of autopilot like Horizon Hobby SAFE technology to assist while we learn. None of the other RC plane simulators have that on the IPad. Planes have flaps and some have retractable landing gear. We having a blast with this app!
A lot of models will just downright fall apart if they hit the slightest thing. You also need to fix the fact that if you go in follow or pilot mode in any of the paid maps, they just become an Osage park with a different background, and the hit boxes on the overhangs on desert island are glitched, even if we fly like 10 to 50 feet under it, it still makes your plane fall apart completely and you crash. Speaking of crashing, you shouldnt make the game stop when you crash because a lot of the time you can still fly the plane. You also need to make the planes cheaper in the free version if you are going to have the models still have parts that should not be attached but are like there is an invisible wing that popped into existence after the actual wing fell off, you need to add a pause button, and finally, please fix the fact that there is an invisible pair of landing gear when you fly the 747.

If we would have known about this version we would have bought it in the first place instead of buying several choppers in the other app supporting the app. So we almost paid twice the cost of this version :(
We love this game the stuff in it is very realistic we just wish that they would fix the glitch when you are a pilot in the paid maps and they all look like a grassy fields. Otherwise its the best rc sim there is.
Love the game. Only issue is when you crash and the game stops you cant fly no more even tho for a split second after you crash you still can. We need to be able to keep playin with a broke plane if we want. Also the smoke. The smoke setting of where it comes out shouldnt be the same on every plane. For example the 747. Its a 4 engine plane so it should be 4 smoke trails instead of the one comin out the back. It should be like that for every airplane with the smoke comin out the engines.
Im thinking about getting into RC Airplanes and purchased this app as the perfect solution before trying out the real thing. We are pleases with the models and the different flying conditions. Where the app falls short is the location of the plane in flight to the scenery. Sometimes it looks like an object is in the foreground when actually its in the background and vice versa. Would be nice if this was fixed and an additional field is added with only a runway surrounded by fields, no vertical objects, to practice take offs, landings and flight controls.
It’s not our wifi it’s the game all the helis and drones are extremely lagging we can’t even fly them. And for the money we spent its the worst we’ve ever spent.
One of the few simulators that work with the GameVice controller. It also has three really good drones you can practice with.
Just love this app. Worth every penny. The skills you build practicing on this simulator will save you so much time and money when handling the real thing. Also, its the perfect pastime when the weather wont cooperate.
We have been using this application for about 5 years now and is the best radio control game we have tried and we used a lot but this one is very realistic and is getting better every update, keep it up good work.
We really love it because airplanes were really cool.
You will see that RC Vehicles take a lot work and patience. We feel that with steady practice we should be ready for the real thing. Keep up the good work with this APP..

This sim is probably the truest sim in the App Store to real world flight. Our only problem, and its a big one, is that the FPV view is absolutely terrible. All you get is a field of an infinite number of grass textured squares and at the end of the field (which you cant possibly fly to) is some background. Theres no point of reference, no landing pad, nothing. There are A LOT of FPV pilots out there. It would be smart to fix this when were paying a good chunk for the app.
Love this sim. Worth it to get this full version so you can find the planes you like to fly and have all the sceneries. We can keep our RC skills up to date with this app. Such a pleasure to fly these planes! Only feature request is to have one button Autopilot so you can tap it on (like flaps) without interrupting flying during landing. Maybe out the setup under the Main menu : ) Especially love the park with Mt Diablo in the background – its in our home town!

Is there any way you guys could make it so you could download planes and build planes in the simulation.
Upon updating to 3.30, our models that used to work without textures as they didnt work now are broken. They still load but just are HUGE and broken. *Note: we are importing the default ClearView Models like the Yak 54 and the Huey. Other than this Great Simulator!

We can download other users models but they will not load in when we select them. Can you guys please fix this. Love this sim and keep up the great work! Update: we updated the app but it still will not load the Clearview models off of the webpage link on the support site. Thx for trying to fix this and keep up the great work guys!

We noticed that you can drive right through certain objects on your fields it kind of ruins the simulation.
This game is quite a bit overpriced for the content it has. You cant physically visit other airports and you cant interact with the airplanes much. We would pick RC plane 3 over this. Suggestions: Make price lower or put more effort into the game.
Gear and flaps don’t work on planes that use them.

We purchased this game to use while on vacation, traveling, etc. With no connection to internet the game locks the location and vehicle selection to what is available in the free version. For this reason, we would not recommend buying this game. Update the app to allow off network play and we will gladly change our rating.
As of the time of this review 9/19 – the iOS upgrade to 8 breaks this app and causes viewing in only portrait mode.
The sim is a pretty good purchace though pretty pricy for an app; we would have hoped to get the same models that are included in the "PC" version for about the same price. The iTunes add says 13 flight models but not which ones… Was hoping for the Pitts but it is not included. The situational awareness is good and it is easy to stay oriented. Excellent graphics. While this app can easily be 5 star, there are a few squawks: Flight models are not "trimable"; on most you can select a speed that will give you level flight. On the AT6, it is really nose heavy even at top speed. The F4U propeller looses its transperancy when powered up and becomes a black box. Perspective is sometimes off when flying by a lower altitudes: airplane will land in trees even though the trees appear to be farther away. Other than those few items it is a great simulator!
