After trying most of the Hearts card games in the App Store, Aces Hearts ended up being our favorite and the one we’ve been enjoying for years now. It has the smoothest animation, game flow and by far the best designed controls of all the Hearts games we’ve tried. It’s the only one that offers the exact card animation speed that we prefer. Also,you can tap to skip animations when you want to speed things up. No other game we tried can do that. The UX is so nice, most other Hearts games feel amateurish by comparison. Also, we haven’t had any login or other technical problems in years. We came here to leave a 5-star review in appreciation and was shocked to find we had left a harsh 2-star review many years ago and forgot about it. The two highlighted Store reviews are out-of-date (one of them is 4 years old). Yes, the game engine could be improved in a couple placessuch as opponents giving up their high hearts too quickly on the hardest mode when it should be obvious you’re making a run to shoot the moon. For us, the next hardest mode below that can often be harder to beat. None of the games we’ve tried have been perfect when it comes to emulating human players of various skill levels. Nevertheless, Aces Hearts is one of the best.
Concrete software spades was our favorite spades game!! What happened to it? Please bring it back for IOS!!!!
Im not sure if this developer has abandoned this version of Hearts but it was the best animation of characters! We used to love to play it all the time, but for some reason it kept on freezing. We hope the developer has not abandoned this game because it was to good to abandon.

We have to repurchase the Hearts game but it is side-ways. How can we get it turned long way up. Not sideways like shows.

Edit 5/2/21: Obviously, the developer(s) have abandoned this addictive game, BUT, if they do revisit reviews, Id like to see an update to the algorithm: 1) When Im obviously running the game, other computer players automatically dump all their high hearts. That would never happen with all humans playing. 2) When playing the Jack of Diamond version (my favorite), adjust the algorithm with the computer opponents not to give up the Jack when they have other diamonds in their hand. If the developer can fix those items above, this would be the most enjoyable card game in the store – imho. We were forced to re-purchase this latest version to get rid of the ads even though we paid for the app several years ago. The animation is choppy and we can barely see the differences between hearts and diamonds (spades & clubs) because of the new tiny image size on the card faces. We do like that you can see the current score of each player during play. This was our favorite go to game – previous version was very professionally built and seemed to be pretty challenging yet predictable play (please make it more difficult!). The ads are EXTREMELY obnoxious so pay up to really get full enjoyment out of this classic game…
Excellent graphics, solid play, nice, unobtrusive animations, BUT they dont properly support iPhones with notches and Home Indicators. Those literally came out more than two years ago, and there are still UI elements that are hidden behind the notch. The developer should be aware of this and needs to implement the UIKit Safe Areas from Apples Human Interface Guidelines. Only thing I’d change game-wise would be to add more rules variants.
Like their Spades, a great game on our old iPhone6. Neither function on our new iPhone 12 mini- despite the claim made here. Formatting of game is incorrect: essential elements are off the frame; and scoring is occasionally but bizarrely incorrect.
No update for TWO YEARS??? That is not a developer problem. That is an Apple problem.
The restore button does not work at all. Sent feedback but never fix. We love this game but developer is horrible and does not care after you paid them.
Ads are too intrusive to play! Delete.
This game has an ad after every hand. It used to play after every game. So annoying. Moving on to another app!
For some reason , this game is starting to over heat our phone.
Bought the app to remove ads and still get ads. Wrote to developer and no response.
To much political ads begging for money. Over and over and over Ill be back when you redo yours ads.
For some reason they screw the game up every 8 to 12 months or so. For example, around May 2018 the app simply cannot log any won games – every game is now logged as a loss in the stats section. Last year the app randomly started hanging when you took the queen of spades. It took them a month or two to fix it, wonder when they will fix this current issue. Its an OLD game, what is there to update? Ever heard of quality assurance testing before going live? Poor quality updates for what should be an easy app to keep running.
The game is fine, and we dont mind reasonable ads to keep it free. But we are looking for another hearts gamesome vendor called AdColony takes over our phone to run a 30 second ad for another game. Outrageous! Good luck Concrete Software, you lost a (formerly) happy user…
We really think this was the best Hearts game for the iPhone but when we upgraded phones there appears a long advertisement after every hand. We tried the restore purchases but that didnt work so now its unplayable. Most Hearts games are really rigged, dumping the queen on you as the other players work as a team. It doesnt feel real. This one did feel real most of the time but Im not buying it again or playing it.
We purchased this game before….. But now we have to repurchase to get rid of the ads we already paid to get rid of! Not customer friendly.
They took our money to upgrade to the no commercials version then started pushing commercials after every deal. To bad people like this cant be banned from the internet.
This is worse than your old version, your old version froze a lot, this one even more so. What happened to all the negative reviews regarding your new system? AFTER EVERY HAND THERE IS AN ADVERTISEMENT. We JUST DELETED YOUR GAME. You may have one of the better ones On the market but it isn’t worth.
We purchased the ap over a year ago. When we added it to our iPhone, the ads were there and wont go away. We purchased the ad free version. The ads are very obnoxious &persistent.
We transferred hearts game to our iPhone X And it wont close; we have to power off our phone to get out of the program.
We had issues (download problem; Remove Ads on multiple devices) integrating the new Hearts App on iOS 11 systems devices. Concrete Software support was quick to respond and resolve these issues. Kudos! As to the game itself, it is excellent. One of the best.
Why do we have to pay again? Just because you didnt upgrade to the new iOS? We love this game, but the ads are driving our crazy. Anything you can do to help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
Using an iPod Touch, it requires x2 magnifiers to read the suit!

Great game however with the latest version we’ve got ads again and have to purchase. We bought hearts game a few years ago. Same issue with the spades game.
Very hard to see the suits as the images are so small!
We purchased this product last year and now, because of the IOS update, we have to re-purchase the product again. We don’t see why they didn’t just update our purchase version. This is rediculous!! They don’t offer any way to contact them or update older version.
Game play is good, but the ads make the app poor. Ads appear after every hand. Update: Ads last up to 30 seconds. Costs $3 to get rid of them. But, a few weeks later the app froze, showed only the background. Reloading the game without ads will cost another $3. Purchasing this game is no longer recommended.
We really dont like this game. We enjoyed the solitaire game, but we cant play it on our phone, iPad, or iPod. To top it off, forget trying to ask the developers about an update, because they dont acknowledge anything.
We paid to remove ads for v1 and now must pay a second time to remove ads from v2. Sorry but we refuse to pay twice. Deleting the app and will never download any of their other apps.
This looks like Aces HD that we previously played, on a daily basis but its not. Why are the cards so ginormous? Why are the players no longer animated? Why is the pixilation so poor? Why is the screen so zoomed in? We want our Aces HD back!
This was one of our favorite games, until the recent update to iOS 11. Now this game is dead in the water, wont work at all. Please update this game! Apple has been warning about this for a few months now.

Until recent update. We read the reviews and yes, it would freeze when we shot the moon but it would also make us forfeit the game anytime we were ahead. If we played a few hands and suddenly found myself in the lead a message would pop up and tell us in order to keep playing we had to forfeit. If we were losing we could play. We see they just supposedly fixed the problem so we uninstalled and reinstalled so am hoping that fixes it or we’re getting rid of it!
With the new update, it freezes when we shoot the moon. The only way to unfreeze it is to forfeit and start a new game. Yes, we uninstalled and reinstalled. Time to find a new version of Hearts. Update: The developers are correct– signing in to Game Center solves the problem. Took forever to figure out HOW to sign in to Game Center, but that’s not their fault….
Loved this game until the recent update; now the game freezes when you shoot the moon and the only way to continue playing is to forfeit the game.
We have the game set on difficult level. Shot the moon for the first time,and the game froze. We liked that there were new characters. Tried game at an easier level where we can run it consistently and game froze there several times.

The recent update to "correct some problems" actually made it worse. Every time we shoot the moon it locks up and we have to start a new game.
The idiots who run Concrete Software updated this game and broke it in the process. If you shoot the moon, the game will freeze up, rendering it unplayable. Aces Hearts used to be great, but it’s useless now. We contacted them, and they only offered a string of excuses with no solution in sight. Here’s a hint, guys: DON’T "FIX" THINGS THAT AREN’T BROKEN. Updating software simply because your programmers want to look busy at work is very bad business practice. This company is run by incompetent fools, and they have no quality control whatsoever, so don’t waste your time with any of their software.
Game freezes when you shoot the moon! Uninstalling and reinstalling doesn’t fix it, freezes again when you shoot the moon!
If you shoot the moon the game freezes and you have to forfeit. Reinstalling doesn’t help.
After installing the latest update, we can no longer play Hearts. Please fix this ! Ok… We guess we have to find another hearts game. Freezes up almost every game causing us to forfeit…. Not fun. We really enjoyed this game. We’ll give you a while to fix this… Otherwise it’s GOOD BYE !
Game use to be tons of fun. Ever since update with the increase in advertisements makes this game completely unplayable. You can’t play two hands without some sort of pop up. Very disappointing.
We love this game! We play it for hours! Yes, there are ads but if you don’t want them you can pay to turn them off. Keep up the good work!
