A Glimpse into AdVenture Ages: Idle Clicker
Agents, it is your quest, should you choose to accept, to travel back and restore the timeline before all of civilization is lost in time forever! Tap your way through Missions for free to climb the Ranks, collect Heroes, and save humankind as we know it! Use strategy and time travel to rebuild nations in history before the utopian future ceases to exist! Oh, and make sure not to step on any butterflies!
Agents will be asked to complete Missions, and be rewarded with Capsules upon completion. With the help of T.T.O.M and the AdVenture Agency — climb the Ranks and repair history by collecting Resources in the most powerful civilizations throughout history. Ages that Agents can explore include Bronze, Medieval, Renaissance, Industrial, and Atomic.
CAPSULES
Within Capsules, Agents will find Heroes, XP, and Gems. Agents can collect Capsules by completing Missions and visiting the Store to receive free daily gifts. Capsules give the Resources needed to climb the Ranks and become the greatest Agent of all time!
GEMS

HEROES

That advertisement we saw for this totally stood out and it was perfect also the game is fun!
The problem seems fixed now since we did that without losing where we were at before it crashed for a possible month on us. That 2 star is now back to 5 stars.
We have played a LOT of incremental games. Clicker cookie, Exponential Idle, Idle to Rule The Gods, Universal Paperclips, etc etc etc. AdVenture Ages is an EXCELLENT addition to the canon. It is fun, flashy, VERY well balanced, and it never turns into a slog. Im pleasantly surprised by the variety of historical figures they chose, and the special events are both rewarding and exciting. We honestly couldnt rave about this game enough.
Updated review from 1 to 5 stars. If game is crashing before fully loading, simply delete the app and redownload. Thanks to Jacob from Hippo support for the advice.
Hey so your newest update broke the game visuals the audio still work but nothing else its just a black screen can you fix this ASAP? Thanks P.S still not working after latest update.
We’ve been a long time fan. This game is good and our favorite so far. If it wasnt for the bugs it would get 5 star. Unfortunately it is still buggy and crashes way too often. The Aztec event is especially crash prone, often +10 times a day. It can be watching a video, tapping a button or just leaving it alone for too long. Switching apps seems to accelerate the time between crashes. Restarts and reboots dont help much. And sadly the crashes mean you loose rare drops and pop capsules, dropping your rank in the events. If you dont have a video queued up you loose out on the rare capsules. Would love to see these issues fixed. We lost a lot of gems because of this, trying to keep our event ranking.
We really enjoyed this game for a few months. Progress was balanced and the events helped keep the grindier bits of the game fresh and enjoyable. However, we had a vacation for a couple weeks and really put an effort into trying to max out and get through level 20 in the events. We didnt want to pay to have to do this and even had a fair bit of gems saved through F2P to help push us through the tougher aspects of the events. We probably put in 8-10 hours over the course of the 4 day event, watching all the event ads we possibly could.(even waking up in the middle of the night to not miss out on loot boxes). This is A LOT of time to be spending on an idle game. We always would end up somewhere in the middle of the top 1%. We never made it past level 18 in the Japanese or Egyptian events. Even the top 1% arent maxing out the events? The regular game became too slow to really even check on until the events started once a week(level ~50). Im all up for a challenge but putting forth nearly full (Free) effort did not reward the user enough to continue the Grind. Thanks for a few months of fun growth, but ultimately disappointing.
We used to enjoy this game, however lately it has been constantly crashing. Just randomly closes and you loose the progress. What happened? We have the latest operating symmetry on iPhone XR.
We like the game but Cannot open it. It crashes on the loading screen. It started crashing with the new event last night. We updated our phone and restarted and it still crashes. Cant play.
We dont know if this is just us but when doing an event recently, we are not gaining any population cards. Before it would be the same rate as normal but now there isnt enough to rank population even to level 2. Whats going on?!
Edited to add: upgraded it to 3 stars because despite the dev response telling us to check the updates (after we said we already had), we finally fixed it by having to fully delete and re-install the game. Still not 5 because this shouldnt be the only fix to a crashing bug reported by multiple people (as seen in other reviews). If it were playable. Honestly, this is the most enjoyable idle game we’ve played yet. Unfortunately, we can rarely play it. The game crashes about a third of the time we open it, and every single time we’ve tried to do the in-game event. We had a two-day stretch that we just couldnt open it once. We’ve checked updates, our phone updates, powered the phone off and on, etc. No other apps are having this issue. If this get resolved, the game is a solid five star. But its hard to rate it that high when we cant play it.
We enjoy the game, but we do not appreciate the sexual ads in a 4+ game.
We found this app not to long ago its fun but recently it crashes almost every five minutes of game play and when we turn on battery saver it refuses to open Id recommend it to any one that likes idle games but not until its fixed.
We’ve played this game ever since it first came out and loved it. The AdVenture series has been a favorite of ours since our first ever iPhone. But for the past month, Ages has been unplayable. Time spanning from a minute to 20 minutes can pass and suddenly the game will crash without warning. If we can even get it to start again (which 9 times out of 10 it wont even load) none of our progress is saved. We’ve tried uninstalling and reinstalling, same thing. We even uninstalled for a good while to wait for a game update, then reinstalled and had a great 20 minutes until it crashed all over again. This has been played on both data and WiFi, same results every time. Rebooting our phone doesnt help either. Devs if youre reading, iPhone 11 64 GB running iOS 14.6 (18F72). AdCap and AdComm run just fine.
Before we started the event, we tried the delete and re-install. The crashing issue was resolved but now 1 day into the event and we cant open the event in the app without it crashing. If we delete and re-install then Ill lose our event data. Never had issues with the crashing until the last week. We enjoyed the game, but will probably stop playing now.
Im level 66 and ever since the recent update a few weeks ago the game continually crashes. It was a fun game but this is ridiculously painful to keep playing now.
Overall we love this game but we have to give it up now because it’s too frustrating! We’ve started keeping track of resources/progress and at least 1-2 times a day the amounts will be less then when we last played it (I.e. Like it didn’t save all the progress from the last time we played). This isn’t too bad in terms of the main game progression but it’s very frustrating with the weekly events since you’re up against a clock and the game keeps pushing you back in time progress wise.
This is a reskin of Adventure Communist, a game with infinitely more charm. Play it instead.
We dont want to buy so many of one to get another, we like the original capitalist, we have been playing since before you could get ads, the original that is.
Its reminiscent of AdCap in its heyday; not pushing too hard for ad views / IAPs, but with a careful balance that makes videos seem worth it, and enough free content to not feel exploitative. In-game events run every few days, so even if your main game starts slowing down, you still feel like youre movin along swiftly. While we have yet to max an event without paying, we are still able to make enough progress to get some rare cards and enough gems to keep us truckin. Recently, a game update locked some people out of the game with perpetual crashes. After emailing the support staff, they worked to get us back into the game, and provided a bit of gem-based compensation for the missed event time. Overall, the support experience was what made this review worth writing. Making your playerbase feel heard and valued is always something to be commended.
This game is great in so many ways. From a beautiful design to sleek and simple but fun gameplay this game is wonderful. We enjoy games that combine real world knowledge with fun gameplay, and this game did just that. You can collect real life figures from history and use them to gain more in you adventure to put time back together. We also like how you must get one thing before you can get something else, it puts a nice amount of eagerness into the game. With that it also lets you get so much of something that it just does it for you, in think that makes it even more fun and interesting. Finally, we like that it isn’t pay-to-play, games like that are annoying, but not this one, you only have to buy if you want something extra. Overall, great game and great job! -Max.
Since the update this morning we havent been able to open the app it starts up then crashes.
Visually its just hard to look at, im a big fan of adventure communist and capitalist but this one is almost impossible to play because of how bad it looks.
We really am enjoying this game. Spent way too much time on it. Its day 2ish though and it keeps crashing. It will start the loading screen and will crash before it opens repeatedly. Tried restarting phone, didnt work.

Game is overall fun, up until the last update a couple days ago. It started off just every once in awhile, but now literally every time we try to open the game it crashes/closes just after the loading screen. We’ve tried closing/reopening the app, making sure all other apps on our phone are closed, and restarting our phone. None of it worked. Hopefully theres another update soon and it can get fixed!
We enjoyed it for the first few weeks. The update on June 9th (1.8) left the game super glitchy. It was hit or miss on if it would launch, and would frequently die on the title screen. Launching the event would also auto quit frequently, and watching ads for boosts was dicey. After a week and half of interactions with their help desk, where they gave us some useful advice to try (that didnt work) and some exceedingly unhelpful advice (that also didnt work), we decided to delete the game. No other game or app has given us issues. Their help desk seemed much more willing to blame us despite video showing that we had tried their options than give us a ticket number or actually resolving the issue. Helpful advice: uninstall and reinstall app, try force quitting other things to see whats going on, turn off your phone once to see if it helps Unhelpful advice: turn your phone off and on again every time you want to play, force quitting all apps every time you want to play.
Still crashes almost a week after new event. Favorite mobile game and not even able to open it up for over a week now. Update already.
Fun game and addicting, but now it wont open with this recent update. Writing a review since we cant even get into the game to report the issue.
Ever since version 1.8.0 update, the app won’t load. It crashes before it finished loading every time. It’s too bad as we were excited about the Viking update.
After latest update last night, now crashes at startup.
In the last week or so its been constantly crashing and is impossible to play, though before the crash its been very fun so due to progress Im hesitant to delete and reinstall to try and fix the crash.
The app is super glitchy, especially when it comes to ads. Half of the time when we watch an ad, we dont get the reward we want to get and we either lose the reward or have to watch another ad to get the reward. Another problem we get is it wont even let us watch an ad, and we have to force close the app and restart it. We have to restart the app any time we play it. Also the app will crash on us frequently. We dont have any problems with any other apps, so its not an issue on our end. We plan to delete this app if things dont get better soon.
Loved this game and just started the event, bought gems to even help us get farther. Now we cant even open the game without it crashing on us. Dont bother emailing the developers. You get a generic response that theyre working it but offered us nothing for the wasted money.
We’ve always struggled with having games that we can consistently play. Normally, Ill play a few days and then leave the app untouched for months, sometimes even over a year. However, Adventure Ages is far different. The different challenges that provide extra play keep us so interested in the game. Definitely an amazing game.
We’ve been a fan of the Adventure games for several years, and what we liked about Adventure Communist when it came out, was that it was much different from Adventure Capitalist. But from what we’ve seen so far, Adventure Ages is just a different looking Adventure Communist.
This game is an excellent re-skin of AdVenture Communist. It doesnt have the punny character names, but they are replaced with real historical figures. Progress is steady steadier if youre willing to watch some ads. Special events run weekly and they are continuing to add new events. Its possible to rank in the top 2% of events on ads alone, with no spending. Things they could improve: – ads sometimes (but rarely) fail to load or fail to give rewards – historical characters could use more flavor text; this would be an educational game if it added a little text – some of the adorably hand-drawn characters are real people who committed major atrocities – paid historical pass membership appears to reset at the end of the month even if bought in the middle, rather than always buying a full month?
Many of the historical characters have no resemblance to who they actually were. This game advertises itself as a historic idle game, accurate to what these people look like. And then black Dioclese appears. And then a black queen of England. Right.
The game isnt finished but it is very good.
Its essentially the same game but its super in app purchased focused now compared to what the original game was, a lot more artificial pay walls and things.
We’ve played ad cap, ad comm, and now this. We love them all, we feel like theyre incremental games done right! The way theyre set up makes it fun while you play, and its always fun when you come back to the game! This game doesnt punish you or make you feel like you lose progress if you dont log in every day. The events are fun and are every few days so there is always something to do! We love that the ads are completely optional, we’ve quit many games because they force ads down your throat. The only thing Id change about this game is that Id add a monthly subscription to remove ads completely. There is a season pass thing which is nice, but we would pay more to remove ads if we could.
Usually a big fan of this app. Today we started the new event. We spent about 30 minutes on it, then stopped for an hour. Just went back to check up on it and the event had completely restarted us back at level 1. Never happened before so Im not sure what the problem was, but it was very frustrating.
You know that neat little animated ship that pops up in front of the quests that we cant tap to make it disappear, we just have to watch it before we can see what Im trying to do? Yeah. Thats infuriating. Rest of the game is good, that ship though, dear God.
We are getting so very tired of watching an ad video for a boost only to be told afterwards there was some kind of error and no boost is given. This happens multiple times a day. Hyper Hippo tries to pass the blame onto the game player with the message check your internet connection, lame. If you are not going to give the boost dont have the ship fly across the screen.
Im OK with an app giving a different experience for those willing to pay real-world money. Im marginally OK with event mini-games that are unwinnable without spending real-world money. But this game tries to cheat you with a bait and switch. The random dropsthat are essentialbecome much less frequent, but worse, random isnt random. 50 random events in a row without hitting the 1-in-5 that would help? Deleted.
