With our guards and roads destroyed, getting back to the portals will not be easy, as this invasion has crippled our ability to send forces en masse to clear a path. Player Experience Highlights

Community Insight:

We purchased the first two games in this series, but unable to play on newer devices. If they can be updated to fit newer phones, that would be amazing.

We dont write reviews often (let alone buy apps ever), but this one intrigued us and Im so glad we made this purchase cause this game has immense qualities about it. The UI is easy to understand and its just a generally fun game. Well worth the buy.

We cleared the game with both: Cultist & Time Guardian. We wish the game had received more updates / expansions. Once you clear it and go back a few times the replay value stagnates (perhaps Im easily bored). Would be exciting to have an increased level cap & more spells, pets, enemies, et al. /// the game is worth the download.

Improves on Adventure to Fare: Journey to the Core. Great pocket rpg that can be played in short sessions.

It reminds us of NES days when gameplay was more important than graphics. The pixel art is amazing though, don't get us wrong. The pets, crafting, battles, are all solid. Well done! One of our favorite ios games already.

Game is def worth the purchase.

Im blind so we dont know what it looks like but the sounds and game play are good, we could imagine it being like Dragon Warrior and Final Fantsy. If only voiceover would only read the map on the navigation mode, gets confusing mixed in with the other modes. Also, the info on the actions log should be latest first so we dont have to hear what happened 5 rounds ago to know what is going on now and it would be 5*.

Ive played this game, others included, for a few years now and never left a review. So we figure Id do so This game is simply amazing. We honestly am hoping for a fourth release.

Works on IOS 10. Still fun to play. Can pick up and stop any time on the go.

So far the game seems pretty good. It's a bit light on storytelling but the game seems mostly focused on running around slaying monsters which is perfectly fine. Our only suggestion is to have an option to speed up attack animations, besides that, we'd recommend this game to anyone looking for a good turn based RPG.

Great game to pick up in play when you have a few minutes. Love the retro vibe.

We love a good grinding dungeon crawl, heavily pixelated. Sigh. When we pine for module A1 Slave Pits of the Undercity (AD&D), games like this are a comfort. O eighties, cur reliquisti us crudeliter.

We have spent so many hours trying to beat the last enemy in the infinity area. We can't put this game down for long, it's addictive. "Randal the Creator" for some reason always gives 420 exp when we beat him. Clever.

Love playing this when we're bored.

We lov this game please make another installment in this game series soon.

Nothing like a retro feel with some D&D tones. Worth the money.

This game is just a really really good time. A+ job.

Well we wasn't expecting much but it actually blew our mind.

Something told us we'd like this game and sure enough we've been playing it for hours now. It's simple enough to pick up and play and learn as you go. We love the dungeon crawlers but man they can be hard to figure out. This one keeps it simple but intuitive. Great work on this one guys. Love the old school sound too.

It isn't really our type of game but once you start gearing up it really is a lot of fun. The programmers pack a lot of play into such a small package. It's simple, clever and surprisingly replayable.

A full fledged dungeon crawl experience heavy on the gonzo-end of the scale of strangeness.

Very well done. Worth it. Thank you.

Lots of fun and addicting game play. Sort of reminds us of some early 80's versions of Ultima.

A lot of fun for free! Great game mechanics. Nice retro RPG style. Brought us back to the days we had a gameboy.

This game was a lot of fun! We couldn't stop playing it. Very old school, but in a good way.

Awesome dungeon grinder. Somehow sort of reminds us of You Must Build A Boat. Sick game.

Turn based combat, plenty of stats and gear to keep track of, lots of variety in classes and pets, satisfying sense of progression. For the grand price of "free," you really can't go wrong here. Well done.

Makes us think of a different kind of Final Fantasy game…. Easy to understand, fun to play!! Crafting weapons is cool… We haven't gotten super far yet, but we absolutely love it.

The game is a marriage of rogue-like and JRPG mechanics. It's extremely addicting and allows for just enough customization and character development to feel fun and rewarding, without becoming a chore. If old school Dragon Quest or Final Fantasy hold a special place in your heart, you would be doing yourself a great disservice by passing this game up. It has all the hallmarks of the aforementioned JRPG greats, made accessible and portable-friendly.

This is a homage to old school gaming. The pace is well done and the game is a blast. It's simple yet cleanly done. We recommend picking this up if you were an 80's – 90s kid and you are looking for something classic without a ridiculous in-app purchase cash grab.

We love this pixel art style. This game is exactly what we've been looking for. Top tier game.

Fun game! We'd recommend checking it out~.

Very fun to play, easy to learn, and the cute graphics mean that we're okay if our kids want to play.

A rather well put together game to help us relax on our down time. Interface is lovely.

Interesting old school RPG. Not sure if the story yet.

It's a cool rpg but why don't you make that hunger bread guy a member of a team or one of your pets.

Very in depth and a ton of fun. Well worth it.

Simple and fun rpg with surprising depth and a host of character classes/ pets.

Was going to pass, but glad we tried it. Great game with a successful throwback to classic elements while still maintaining the best of strategy and risk elements.

Simple game with simple controls, but it is incredibly polished. Easy to understand, while offering complexity in combat! We love it.

Didn't know what to expect and ended up with a dungeon crawler game with easy to understand controls. So far it's been great and we are looking forward to try a bit more.

We saw the creator post on Reddit saying it was free for the weekend and just went for it. Really enjoy the feel of the game thus far.

Very fun RPG we'd recommend this to any fans of Final Fantasy or any other JRPG.

We've been a gamer our whole life and we have been very picky lately with the many poorly created and thought of games nowadays. But this game beats it all. We've never had such a great addiction to a video game for over 15 years. This is a must play game. Try the original versions out before getting into this one and enjoy the way the game grows. Excellent job! Please keep them coming.

We highly recommend this game. It is most definitely worth the purchase. Support this developer so that we can get more great games like this one. We're hoping we get another installment from this developer soon.

Never written a review before. Great dungeon-crawly, grindy, throw back, turn based, goodness. Very fun.

If your looking for an amazing rpg, one reminiscent of old times, this is for you. Besides the ff/chrono ports there really is nothing that compares, and this is original! We love the game play. The only area it lacks a little is story, there is a story, but it's not a constant text turner, so if your into that warning. But it's style and char diversity is so freaking cool. Best app purchase. This game is killer.

Just got it recently and it is our favorite game we've ever played on IOS. It is detailed, challenging, well made, and insanely fun.

Grate update. Thanks for this grate game.

We have two types of games on our iPad, games we play for a while then lose interest in, and games that hook us from the start all the way through to the end. This game was the latter. We enjoyed it. Nice old school graphics and gameplay that only required a minimal amount of grinding.
