This is more like one of those chose you own ending books, but we love it! The story lines are really good and there are so many different possibilities. We have played so many times we have lost count because we are determined to see every outcome. There are no pictures or graphics or anything (its pretty much an ebook) but we really didnt mind cause the storyline is so good. Really wish they would do a sequel, or just more romance ones like this. We looked through the creators other games but they are all very different genres from this one. If you were a fan of the choose you own ending books as a kid you will love this game!

We are in actual tears over this. The story had us on the edge of our seat constantly and it is deeply immersive. We chose to buy the other two parts (which are very inexpensive) and we were not disappointed.

The first part of the story is completely free which is nice but we chose to buy the 2 other parts of the story and it is DEFINITELY worth it. The sheer amount of endings and choices and drama is just insane and it makes the game interesting enough to be played over and over again. We’ve already played multiple times and still havent gotten even close to finishing all the endings there are. BUT the one thing we are a little disappointed in is that in order to reach the other 2 parts of the story and experience multiple endings you have to finish the first part of the story with the King. If you choose the other 2 suitors then the story ends with you marrying them and theres not much else to it. Would be nice if there was a bit more variation to their endings as well. But overall this is THE most interesting choice game out of all the ones we’ve played!

If you are a person who loves reading, but you often found yourself wishing to change the ending, characters personality, gender, sexuality choices, or anything else then this is the game for you. It gives you a lot of options, while also keeping up with a easy to follow story that is compelling while also based on your options. We would recommend this game to avid readers, or those you find themselves playing games like Choices: Story You Choose, Episode, or Chapters. This game is just like those. It just doesnt have art in it. That can often throw people off but trust us, this game is fun and interesting. We love it.

Just started, great game. But we want to be able to court both the ladies and gentlemen!

Its surprisingly nuanced and layered. Theres a real sense of tension throughout and we enjoy the court intrigue.

We love this game so freakin much. Thats all we have to say, thank you for reading.

Its so well made. SO worth the money.

We love the game. It has a lot of continuous potential. However the idea of spending more money sparingly doesnt float our boat as much. We wish there was another way.

First, we liked this. Its a well written from a womans point of view, however if your like us and like playing the game multiple times as different genders its a little strange because when you play as a guy, you are basically a VERY feminine boy with a very Butch queen. Our question, what is the difference between this and the Legacy one that cost $5.00? Is it just the removed adds or is legacy a different story?

Can anyone else not delete the app.

The game keeps you on edge and keeps your heart racing through every chapter, especially in Arc II and III, fearful for your life and your familys lives. One wrong move could spill blood! If your like plotting and scheming, this is definitely for you!

We thought this was purely romance and did not think of downloading this, but eventually we gave it a shot and we don’t regret it one bit. We love that our character can be as villainous as we want him/her to be and the whole game is filled with schemes, plots and murder. We got hooked and played all night!

You are the eldest child of a minor noble family and youre being sent to court to make your fortune and in the process increase that of your family, in a land where the stability and prosperity of the realm depends on the delicate balance between the light and dark sides of magic (both capable of good or evil) nobles are heir to. From this classic premise you will play out a story of passionate romance, chilling intrigue and electrifying adventure. But of course AotC is more than just a good story. What makes the game so good is that it knows how to make the CYOA genre enjoyable, by focusing on the INNER story of your character, for which you make every choice from your gender to your strengths and weaknesses to your motivations and goals and of course every meaningful decision you must make to navigate the many crucibles and crises you encounter. Instead of trying to change the overarching story too much, which actually plays out quite linearly and predictably, a good CYOA means you will decide the HOW and the WHY of a story, which we think is what really immerses you in your character and the world around them. Loved it from start to finish, every step worth the full price.

This game does a good job at making us feel like Im genuinely about to dismantle and disparage our familys reputation. The aunt is good at her job, but we kinda wish she would stop talking haha.

We cant get to part 2 even if we wait 20 minutes, it just sends us back to the beginning.

We loved this story so much. We ended up purchasing all of the in game buys so we could play it through to the end without interruptions. The only downfall was that we couldnt stop playing it. Loved all of the choices and the creativity that came with the story! We’ve played this so many times we believe we’ve gotten all of the endings. Thank you for this beautiful game.

We like the game but havent played it in a while so when we got back to it. Its keeps saying this index. Html Openingscene line 18:The product intrigues wasnt declared in a *product command we not sure what this mean our phone is the iPhone 6 and quite old. So that might be the reason to why its not working on our phone.

Honestly we feel like they shouldn’t charge for the first game and if it gets more ratings the do so, other then that this game is amazing and need a lot more like it.

This is definitely one of the better text-based games we have played. It is well written, and the choices you make in the game are all pretty interesting. And the game is not overwhelmingly ad-filled! We’re definitely considering buying the next part of the story.

Please make more love stories like these . We loved it and we can’t stop replaying it . We just wish it had more to it , like after your characters child claims the throne , you could continue the story through your child’s reign or something . But we loved it !

We loved every moment of playing this game and would highly recommend it for any one that love to play RPGs. The game play was easy to understand and the story was wonderful unique.

We really enjoy choose your own adventure type games, and the fact that this allows you to play as a woman who wishes to court other women is just amazing! It is extremely rare to see any gay options in any games, let alone choose your own adventure games.

Absolutely love this story. We wish there was more. Had a lot of choices and is well written. Really wish there was a continuation of this so we can read more.

A great story – highly recommended. The romance options in part one railroad you somewhat, but the rails carry you into the true heart of the story in parts two and three. Stick with it! There was a twist in part three that we never could have seen coming, and an unlooked-for romance that had us replaying over and over until we got our happily ever after.

The stakes are so high on every choice but you guys we found a (not too crazy but still substantial) amount of sexual content when we were going for the Queen but that that makes like NO difference at all we see myself replying this A LOT.

This app and the creators behind it are by far the most eloquent and interesting writers we’ve had the good fortune of enjoying. We would highly recommend them to anyone who asked and look forward to interacting with future works of theirs.

We really like playing this game. It was lots of fun to play. And it is a really fun text based game to play.

We really like this game. There are very, very many threads one can weave through this adventure. We also wonder whether there are random elements possible since games played as closely as possible have different outcomes. Every adventure leads to different outcomes. One thing though (not enough to cost a star on the rating) is that the game works best played as a woman. There are some personal pronoun problems and difficulties with sentence parsing (who’s saying what to whom) if you play as a man.

Just finished the first Act, and it’s really enthralling! We are definitely hooked.

We’re just absolutely in love with this game and we never get tired of trying to get every ending and trying out new combinations of stats!

This is the best text adventure we’ve play yet.

We’ve probably played a dozen of these types of games recently. This is probably the best one that we’ve experienced.

We’ve spent hours playing this game. It’s so much fun!

We like this game a lot. The story line is good and we like how many options are available to you. We do wish we had better options as far as the lovers. We felt like no matter which one we chose there would be a downfall which is good. That makes it harder to choose. The richer man wasnt very attractive (in our imagination) but he was kind and he cared about the girl. The man without much money seemed adventurous and we wanted to choose him but we felt pressured to do what was best for the family. We thought that the king would give us lots of money and help support our family. We also found him the most desirable. In the end we chose the king. This was a great story so far. We have just finished the first part. Now we want to see what happens if we choose the rich man.

Very enjoyable being apart of these different stories. We feel more could be added to the plot line and the stories last longer, but they are entertaining enough. Perhaps we shall write our own and expound on them.

It’s a good game, and we just got the newest upgrade. However, the options to start at part 2 or 3 are bugged. Whether to resume an old file or start anew. If we go to part 2, the same text from the beginning pops up. If we go to part 3, then a random ending shows up. And we hate to have to endure chapters 1 and 2 to try to get an achievement for an event in chapter 3.

Great story and game, but we think there should be an option to play as a Life Mage.

We have been absolutely enthralled with this game, but we do have some suggestions on a few things. For one, there should be an option to be neither male nor female, but non binary. Also, the player should be able to be bisexual. Then, we would have liked the ability to pursue the Consort, Juanita, and Don Luis de Vega.

This game is complicated and offers lots of potential story lines but ‘crashes’ every once in a while and reverts back to baseline stats! And since stats have a lot to do with the story lines, this seriously screws up our game! Hopefully this problem gets fixed. Also, BEWARE THE HIDDEN COSTS! There’s an upfront cost, but then there’s other payments for the next sections as well as for in game perks and to remove adds.

Why do you guys force the main characters to always be okay with what the gay/bi characters do. Why don’t we have a "CHOICE"?

Lots of things to say about this, but mainly it is so very limited. No matter what you do the game wants you to be the mistress of the king if you’re playing as a straight woman and pushes you into that corner. Also the word count is a bit of a lie in its own way. The game boasts this 200k+ word count but that basically applies to every possible plot divergent and possibly all the sequels within that you have to pay for. Pro tip to the developers, it’s not necessarily a lie but it is very misleading. For something like this you should use the shortest possible play through and use that word count as your bench mark for how long the story is. But we know if you advertised that word count the game would sound pretty disappointing, wouldn’t it? Food for thought. Also it seems pretty obvious that we are not allowed to be with anyone but the king since the story ends very abruptly once we marry anyone else and chose not to go and fool around with the king. The only time the game asks you to save your progress for the sequels is when you’re the king’s side chick so it’s pretty obvious that not only will we be punished with a lack luster story for picking anyone else but that they’re purely there to give the illusion of more choice. Also man we got all of two? Three? Interactions with each of the guys before it demanded we decide to marry them, and those interactions were painfully short. It’s also just not super fantastically written, honestly. The plot is weak and does a bad job letting you understand what sort of choices you are making (especially the court choices) and shoves a huge info dump on you from the start. It’s a great concept, we love the idea of what it is honestly but it’s so bleh that we would never bother buying the sequels. Also the ads are broken and freeze the game.

All the routes just sucked remove please.

We were really intrigued by this game, but unfortunately you cannot get past the first part. There seems to be a bug in the game so that even if you save your game, it will ask you to wait for 20 min or purchase. Once the 20 min is done, it sends you right back to the same menu page with the timer and the purchase options.

This game is amazing and there is like a million possibilities. The only thing wrong is that it’s hard to get past the first part.

We really cannot recommend this game enough. This adventure through the glamorous (and sometimes dangerous) world of the court is well-written and well-thought out. Almost every action that you take in the game matters, and could come back to haunt you later down the line. To us, that’s the mark of a truly great choose your own adventure game. The achievement system is a nice addition from previous versions of the game, and compels you to replay to try to find all of the possible endings and story threads (such as the Sahra story line). The ads are a bit annoying, but we understand that the makers have to make money somehow, and if you play in airplane mode, they aren’t an issue. Obviously, if you don’t like romance, then you might be better served by another Choice Of title, but if you’re even a little interested, we recommend downloading and giving it a try. Overall, a great game, 10/10, and we plan on purchasing the next two episodes.

The story is great, and it gives so many options that actually matter later. As part of the lgbt community, we appreciate that you can be gay (though we also think it’d be nice if you could be bi, but that’s okay). The stories are cool, we’re thinking of buying the full version.
