This app is designed just for the ads. It cant even handle 5 minutes of gameplay before it crashed. DO NOT DOWNLOAD APP.
It would be better do change board to front. Now its so uncomfortable for finger.
This game is fun. We like the upgrade on the 2048 concept. But that doesnt make up for the fact that sometimes your saved game just disappears and you lose all the power-ups you (likely) paid for getting to that point. We’ve spent literal weeks on our current age, had several high level buildings, was a stones throw from finishingthen we went to pick back up where we left off this morning and it had us starting at square one, no option to continue our saved game. This has happened to us twice now and we’ve been ridiculously careful since the first occurrence, so we know its nothing we did. Not sinking another penny into this game until the devs answer for the money we’ve wasted on lost saves, and we suggest anyone reading this think very carefully before spending real money.
People complain about how impossibly hard beating level 3 is, and we will admit it is really hard and to beat it we had to use a magic wand but we literally have over 20 cleaners and wands and we have barely collected any gifts for unlocking new levels in the ages people are just irresponsible with them.
Fun but swiping is difficult. Why does it have to be turned on a diagonal like that?
Smooth gameplay, creative concept, great design choices. Completely impossible to progress after level one.
The board is at a diagonal making it tricky sometimes to swipe the direction you are trying to go. Would be better if with the option to have the board face forward.
This game is fun. It makes us so happy. One flaw is when we get close to winning we dont have no cleaners and lose. This isnt like one time its every time. Please help. Also, if we want to get cleaners we have to watch ads and/or pay for it. We hope you can take these issues into account. Thanks, Anonymous.
Forced add within 10 seconds of opening game and its a clear rip off of another app.
For $3.99 its says, no ads. There are still plenty of ads after buying it. The game is cute, business practice is pitiful.
We bought the no ads and we liked playing but once we bought it the game would crash literally 30 seconds after we opened it, every time.
The problem is that we are unable to purchase ad removal. There is a button to remove ads BUT there is NO option to purchase ad removal. We get receive a message telling us that removing ads will remove ads BUT there is NO button that allows us to PURCHASE it. Therefore, we are STUCK with watching ads every time which is annoying during a game where we have to wait at least 5 seconds to remove it. We are removing this app after realizing we cannot play ad-free even if we want to pay for it! The game itself is good and challenging.
We enjoy puzzle games. Thankfully watching ads gets you perks to use in game so we dont mind watching ads.
You should be able to use your score to buy abilitys other the that its a pretty good game.
You should get more spaces improve the age its literally trash y.
This game is not like other merge games and we respect that but having to restart EVERY TIME you dont have any buildings to merge is just whack how are you supposed to get far in this game?

We do not understand how this game passed Apple App Stores quality control and standards. It is not wrong for a developer to want to make money from their product. But it is very wrong to do it dishonestly and to resort to trickery. What NLABSOFT does is it misleads or plain tricks you into clicking on the screen item which then causes either an ad to play or to show an IAP offer. Ill give a couple examples. You play the game then see a hot air balloon float across the screen. It offers help buy it interrupts the whole game. Another example is the restart button/feature. You can choose to restart the game and level. Ok. You press on it. It asks if you really want to do this. You press yes. You see an ad play. BUT THEN you get another panel after the ad which asks: do you want to start the level with building Lvl#x? The options you get not yes and no. You see cancel and yes. That is absolutely different. Cancel implies that your previous action to restart could be reversed AFTER you had already watched the advertisement play. IF you press YES they do not warn you that you will be forced to watch another advertisement. You can make these offers but it is very wrong and dishonest to not fully inform what the offer implies if you respond to it by interacting with the screen. As far as visual design the game is ok. One thing we strongly dislike is very cheesy, generic, stock soundtrack which has nothing to do with what you see on the screen and the sound effect when moving the tiles. Its like free sounds they downloaded online.
To beat level 1, you have to get a 512 tile (2^9). To beat level 2, you have to get a 2048 tile (2^11). To beat level 3, you have to get a 8192 tile (2^13). To beat level 4, you have to get a 32768 tile (2^15). After seeing the requirement for level 4, we just uninstalled the app. Virtually impossible to do. And extrapolating this pattern, level 5 is only possible if you get a lucky spawn (a 4 in the right place at the right time). And level 6 is actually impossible. You cannot get a 524288 tile on a 4×4 board. The only possible way to beat this game is by buying their powerups.
The game is excellent. All we want is to pay for unlimited undo and add removal. But facing for $4 add removal and no unlimited undo, plus $1 limited packages… Im just bearing through the ads and hating myself. Feels like our iphone is running android.
We were a fan of 2048 even after to enthusiasm wore off, and we love this twist. However, we take 2 stars away right of the top for the ads. Its not just the fact that ads are there, but they are intrusive. To do ANYTHING in this game, you have to look at ads. And, to make matters worse, if you pay to remove them, the only ads they remove are the least intrusive and annoying of all – the banner ads. We take off another star for the fact that the screen layout doesnt even accommodate for the ads. We have managed to land on a couple of screens where we had to force quit the game because the only way out of the screen was covered by a banner ad. Thats just pure sloppiness. This game has some great potential, but the developers made a good thing go bad by being money hungry rather than developing a high-quality game. We would happily pay a few bucks to get rid of all of these ads, but then there are a million other things in the game they want you to purchase. Theres a balancing act between adds, in-app purchases, and just plain good development. Theyre not even close. Update 05/15/18 So today we see an update to the app from the developers. Among other changes, they state that the Remove ads purchase now actually removed the video ads! Hallelujah! Glad to see they are listening to the feedback. Of course, myself, as Im sure many other users, did not purchase the ad-removal for this very issue. Im now willing to pay to remove the ads. Oh but wait! The sale they are STILL promoting as part of this good news, ran up two days ago, and is no longer available. Update 04/13/19 DO NOT UPDATE!!!!!!!!!! We eventually paid to get rid of ads after they fixed this issue. We play this game occasionally and have been stuck on the Industrial Age for months and months. We have gotten to building 13. Well we updated the game today and when we opened the game, it asked us something about continuing because there was a game in progress. Since we thought (based on the phrasing of the question) that meant it wanted to start a new game, we said no. It did anyway and now Im back to starting the Industrial Age from scratch. Time to abandon this one and find a new game! Im so tired of these things not being tested before release! Down to one star.

Its like merge town mixed with 2048. It so fun we play this every day and we love it! If you are debating on getting it we recommend buying it.

We just payed 3,99 to have the adds removed and Im constantly being annoyed by the balloon trying to sell us more adds. Stop being greedy with your business model in the in app purchases . Any game that you have to pay to win is not really a game because theres no challenge and no accomplishment. But we guess you dont really care. We give 2 stars for the good design and Im regretting to have payed but that what you are counting on anyways unfortunately. You can only understand the full concept of the business model once you pay to have the adds removed, and hoping to be able to have a nice experience. And again, unfortunately thats not the case. Make the game 100% without adds, with fair play (without having to pay to progress and win) and we will give 5 stars . Until then, Bye and thanks for reading our review.
We put one star but should be no stars. We are almost all done and will not let us finish. What now?..
Giving this a one star because we have to give some sort of rating. Zero star ratings should be an option because thats what Id give this app. Six ads in a row without getting to play a single game. Absolutely ridiculous, the amount of ads that one has to endure to play. End the game? Ad. Want to continue with your highest level building? Ad. Want to realign your blocks so you can continue? Ad. Cant realign blocks as there are no ads left. Ad. Deleted this app and we’ve no intentions of ever reinstalling it. The game itself is addictive, but the antidote to that is the endless, incessant ads.
ADS EVERYWHERE, there are even ads in the middle of the screen while you are playing.
A fun game and we don’t even mind the endless ads… What we do mind is 9 out of 10 times an ad runs, the game freezes and shuts down, rendering the game unplayable. A shame, really.
Our favorite part of the game is the Facebook ad covering the middle of the screen. We wish this was an exaggeration, but there is literally an ad for Facebook going across the middle of the screen. And Im not clicking it because we dont want Mr. Zucc stalking me.
The app is nice. Works well. Looks nice. IMPOSSIBLY DIFFICULT. Beating for level three without power ups is equivalent to getting an 8192 in 2048. How many of you can do that? The game is also riddled with ADS. Not only will you see an ad every time you open and close the game, but you will see banner ads on the bottom of the screen, floating balloons you can tap on for more ads, and ads every. Single. Time you start a new game. Every. Single. Time. What if you want to play with the power ups? They are INSANELY expensive. 15 undos, which might last about an hour costs four dollars. Ridiculous. Great game, but probably the worst freemium trap we’ve ever seen.
It just takes up data and space! It doesn’t do anything, and you have to watch ads to get rewards! What The Heck? We want to give it 0 stars, but it won’t let us, so here it is… Stars:=1 … …. ….. So there, we said it. This game is so stupid, and do NOT BUY THE IT FOR LIFE.

We love this game, but the only complaints that we have are one, that there is no 8×8, 6×6, or other board sizes, and two, we wish there were more ages.
You know what would make this even better? Loot boxes! Gems! Longer ads! Mandatory Facebook logins! Share with your friends! We know youve designed this to be another obnoxious freemium game born out of avarice rather than passion, but you can do even better. Beating level 3 is equivalent to getting an 8192 in the original 2048. We cant imagine what the higher levels expect from you. Basically, its designed to be nearly impossible without buying power-ups. Ads, ads, ads. An ad before every game would be okay, but it also plays an ad every time you leave and reopen the app. Im normally okay with ad-supported software, but its a little overboard here, and when combined with necessary micro-transactions, its obnoxious. We wish developers would just pick between IAP and ads. The isometric view is aesthetically pleasing, but we find myself accidentally swiping the wrong way far more often than in the traditional orthogonal view. It wouldnt bother us if it had free undos, but no, those need to be purchased in the shop. The app itself seems professional. Its a nice cosmetic makeover of 2048, the graphics are fine, and we havent run into any bugs, but it reeks of all that is wrong in the current state of monetization of gaming. Developers deserve to make money off of their work, but the constant give us money reminders in these kinds of apps is a major turn-off.
We are running the latest version of the game on an iPhone 7 Plus (iOS 11.0.1) and we are getting the same no ads available error thats been reported elsewhere here. This game is fun aside from that, but it needs to get fixed! We also think that its very easy to accidentally swipe the wrong way, so the fact that there are so few undos available (unless you pay) is lousy and comes off as a bit greedy. UPDATE: we emailed support about the ads issue and received no reply, nor do we see a response to our review, nor has it been fixed. In addition, the app seems to reset periodically and we lose our game. This wouldn’t be so painful if the "start with a Level x building" thing worked but it doesn’t. For someone who paid for the ad-free game this is ridiculous.
Can’t stop playing this addictive game. It’s simple and easy but gets complex as you progress through levels. Really fun.
We just got this game the other day, and hav played it non-stop for about, hmm, about……. The whole time!!!!!!! It is also a time killer, so we can play this and it seems that it has been 5 minutes!!!! Love this game.

We just got this game the other day and we find myself abandoning all the other apps we used to play. We can sit for hours playing this trying to build the best civ we can. 5/5 we love it.
