We played this classic back when it was only on flash years ago. No impossible isnt impossible, honestly its quite easy.
We love this game, its so nostalgic!!! Our main complaint is that endgame is too easy, once you have the max level turrets you just sit there until you have enough money to spam a bunch of super soldiers to win it. Impossible mode is a bit better but even then once youve maxed out your turrets all strategy goes out the window.
We think this is a great game. We guess Ive been playing it for almost two decades now lol. Its a ton of fun. The one thing we dont like is the difficulty curve. Normal is, you know, normal. Harder is a bit harder. And then impossible is literally unwinnable (so far). We would like a bigger challenge without wanting to bang our head against a wall. Let us put it this way: Ive beaten Harder about a dozen times (since we downloaded the app about a week ago) and lost once, maybe twice. Meanwhile, Ive played Impossible just as many times and only today, and only twice, successfully got out of the caveman era. Otherwise, great game, very nostalgic. Thank you.
We cant unlock three of the generals achievements. Julian, changwu, and gongas.
Game is really fun. Impossible is really hard but fun. All three modes are fun except one tiny tiny really big thing. It says you cannot buy impossible. You are unlimited to buy it on our computer. We can get it for free but it got blocked so now we can never get in hacked mode. Hacked mode seems super super fun, but dont never try. Please fix this.
Thanks to B0aty for having a Tweet about this that got us to look it up and realize it's on iOS. Saw the top review herewhining about impossible being impossible so we called skill issue. Lost the first two times before realizing we could flip our phone to actually realize what we were doing that took damage, then after one more calibration round remembering the strats we easily won twice in a row. If you think impossible is impossible then you're just bad :) Great game.
We have been playing this game for years, going all the way back to its early days on the internet. Thank you for providing an update and not dropping this game like so many other companies have done with their games.
The game is great as we remembered from years ago. The music soundtrack is fire bring back a lot of memories when we still in primary school. It is not that hard once you find out the pattern, pretty entertained.
Its not impossible. Stay in the Stone Age till you get 2 egg shooters. Do not go passed the medical age until the enemy is in modern age. Then upgrade straight to modern age. The power up in pilgrim age is useless against the canon guys. You can spam 16 of the Stone Age range troops instead of one pilgrim ranger.
Just a little disappointed that the game doesnt get more difficult, impossible is too easy.
We loved this game ever since it came out on the computer a good few years back and we just recently remembered it and love how we can download it to our phone. We beat the Impossible difficulty with cavemen slingshot dudes after farming some of the gold and then went all in after saving up for over an hour. We truly enjoy how quick the code is to adapt to what you choose so we went with a super simple play style and the bot is so relentless haha took us a few tries we will admit so we are grateful this game exists and thank the devs for what they so best, making greatness.

We remembered playing this as a kid so we decided to play the game again, and its just wonderful. Even though its an old game its still a great game. Good game.
Ah yes, the fun game where you go to war while going through all the ages.
We were very close to saying that the impossible is, in fact impossible. We suspected that people who claimed to have beat it either had a different version, or the desktop version, or were simply lying. But we just did it. For what its worth, we beat the insane level on Age of War 2 on our first try. On this one, maybe 50 tries. Our method: turrets and cavemen and airstrikes. Build only the cheapest cavemen. Build egg turrets until you have four. Takes us until the level with the pointy sword guys. Never let your cavemen get past your turret range. Build as many as you need, but no more. Watch this especially before you do an airstrike. Dont wait to do airstrikes. Do them as soon as you can. They are free money, and the more free money you get, the better. Even with four egg towers, things get real bad when the enemy gets the army men. They can knife jab through a mass of ten cavemen and damage your base. When you see army men, you should have enough XP to level up to the army man level yourself, and get a machine gun tower. From their we get three machine guns and one of the best rock towers. Youre safe then until they get the sci fi age and the tanks of that age. You need heavy plasma cannons for those. Once you have four heavy plasma cannons, you won. They cant touch you. Go do the laundry or something until you have $1.5 million. Im not sure how many top-level soldiers it takes to win. We do know that four wasnt enough. When we finally won, we had eight left on the screen, but we let the game run so long we had millions of $, and just kept clicking on build. One thing we noticed: the enemy never built more than one plasma cannon. The mid-level one, we think. (Where he got money to keep building units, we guess it was like the earned income tax credit. He hadnt killed a unit of ours for at least 20 minutes, once we had the plasmas.) Good luck.
Easy to beat, played this game a lot as a kid. Sometimes u can beat impossible just buy camping prehistoric and maxing egg shooters and tower space upgrades and spamming cheapest cavemen while timing sky attacks right. Not too hard unless u advance age at wrong times.
This game really amazing and for some reason people bug about impossible being to hard, but it literally states impossible because its hard, but Ive defeated it before. They are just bad at the game.
This is honestly one of the best strategy games Ive ever played and what other people say is true too because the 2nd one is more about strategy than this one because, you have to think about how to spend your money and do it wisely. In our opinion we think this is one of our favorite games to play with no internet.
Exact same game we used to play on we think it was addicting games!!! Only downer is there is no sound or music. Normal and harder are very easy. We have never beat this game On impossible mode until right now 5 minutes ago. Wish we could upload the screen shot lol. Probably took us around 20 tries or so. Fyi there is a YouTube video where a guy beats impossible so all you whiners that dont understand the word impossible and complain that its too hard, just watch the video follow his strat.
We love the game but that little hacked mode icon has been taunting us how do you unlock it.
Its actually very easy, like the other modes. The strat is the same as the original. . Keep reading for strat. . . At the start, wait till 3-4 enemies are on screen. Use the meteor ability. If you hit enough enemies to buy the egg turret, do that and congrats, you pretty much won. Now use your clubman to keep things at bay while your egg turret kills everything, only buying as many as needed to keep them off your structure. Spam your ability when multiple tier 3 enemies are on screen. Stay on Age 1 until you are ready to level up to the final age. When the enemy reaches age 3, you can now make units faster than they can kill them. Buy 2-3 turret upgrades. Constantly spam slingshot for as long as you can. Keep spamming ability. When the enemy reaches age 5, the final one, you have to be quick here. You might enough xp to reach the final age, but you definitely reach age 4. Level up straight to age 4, and buy as many double canons as you can, selling the egg repeater and replacing with double canon. Congrats, you won again. Buy another tower level when you can. When you reach $100k, level up and buy the blue ion turret. Casually replace all turrets this way, but you only need 3 really. Now set your phone down and go do something for 20 minutes while you wait till you have at least 600k, but 750 is better. Buy 4-5 super soldiers, and run the orbital canon the first time they reach a tank. It may take a couple times of building up money, but its just a waiting game.

We saw another review on here saying that Impossible Mode cant be done, so Im writing this review to defend it. The entire point of that game mode is to hone your perfect use of the games simple mechanics, and once you do that it really isnt impossible. This game is a classic, and if you really have it in you to write a bad review because you think the gamemode literally called impossible is too hard, writing reviews isnt your thing.
We also, like a lot of other people apparently, thought the impossible level was going to actually be impossible. But NO. That was only when we were just starting. No, it doesnt take a million times playing it and is not just luck. After we figured out how, we played it every time and won on impossible consecutively. Tips: Use the egg beaters (all 4 of them) dont upgrade till you have all 4. The entire time, keep spamming the first soldier over and over. They should literally PILE up. And do this the whole game until the last upgrade where you should have enough $$ saved to upgrade your turrets all to the 40k top ones. Then sit back and relax while you gather up 250k. Then send like 10 supersoilders or more but send other guys in front to kind of help clear the path. Use a sky raid.
Theyre should be no cooldowns on the god spells, but other than that, it is a great game.
You should get this game for a very fun and we be impossible we dont know why but we beat the whole game.
For the noobs who cant beat impossible. Get gud, and stop wanting the easy way out. AGE OF WAR IS LIFE.
Maybe because it makes us nostalgic since we used to play it all the time on OneMoreLevel. Ive beat the impossible round but as others have said it took luck, good timing and countless attempts.
We love this game; but we tapped on store and wanted to buy generals, thinking there were coins on this game, but there werent. Well there were but yea Could you add earnable, usable coins??? Also, is impossible mode actually impossible.
We loved this game growing up. And we like that the developers have made a mobile version! Also the Age of War 2 is even better.

This game brought so many amazing memories back from when we were a kid. We used to play this all the time to the point where we actually figured out how to beat it in record time. If anyone ever wants a simple, fun, time passing game… This is the one to get.

It is truly a good game it reminded us of the pc however there is just a lack of ages there is only 4 but that does not make it not a great game.
Love this game we would play this for the longest time now its on mobile its even better we did a comparison mobile is a little harder but its not a big difference. Also it would be really cool if there was pvp you could learn other peoples strategy.
We used to play this game on PC as a kid when all we had was flash games. So happy to see a perfect port of the masterpiece.

We were playing the game and we wanted a new mode. Multiplayer. The hacked mode can and or cant be enabled (Players choice) while the game is just like the computer vs player. But instead its player vs player.

We absolutely used to love this game out of all the flash games that were available in max games but we do feel as though the $5.99 dlc is kinda empty still a time consuming challenge which we find to be an excellent feature.
This game is great and to those saying things were cut from the game. Theres an age of war 2 idiots and NO this game doesnt need multiplayer. Too many games on mobile have multiplayer we dont want this game infected with that garbage.
