Air Wings is a flying battle game where you pilot a paper airplane and shoot your network opponents using crazy weaponry such as the spit wads, rubber bands, heat seeking pencils, firecracker bombs, and suction cups.
The game is incredibly fun as you fly around trying to gather as much weaponry as possibly while avoiding your opponents! There are 18 different airplanes to choose from including a totally cool balsa airplane with a rubberband powered propeller, and there are 36 different Multiplayer Battle levels to play.

This is actually a bigger update than it appears on the outside. There have been some UI improvements for iPad and some minor tweaks in other areas, but most of the changes are under the hood to update parts of the code for the future. We're trying hard to keep Air Wings running, so this update contains a lot of things to ensure that.

Air Wings is a great light hearted air combat game that doesn't take itself as seriously as others. We enjoy the fact that the planes are paper and toy airplanes with different qualities. The gyroscopic controls are pretty decent and can be calibrated on the fly. Our only complaint is the lack of other players in PvP. There are only usually 10 to 20 others playing at any given time. Not necessarily the devs' fault but it could definitely use a larger player base.
This game is absolutely a perfect game for 3 or 4 friends, perhaps retired, perhaps living in different parts of the country to get together, compete, speak rudely to each other, call into question each other's mental abilities or questionable lineage. There is no cheating, no (unwanted) vulgarity and no (undeserved) abuse. It is also great to play with grand kids. We can provide life lessons — that you can't always win; some times you get pummeled. That being said, one probably cannot compete against the public at large without running into jerks, at least every other game.
So much fun to play with our friends + family…love it.
It is a riot. Easy to learn, fun to play. Makes sense. The weapons spread is pretty cool too.

There are few safe and extremely fun for family titles that we enjoy so much.
This game is meant for all ages. The adults seem to have taken it over. The level of profanity and bullying is just wrong. The written taunting is X rated and somehow members should be warned that this is unacceptable. The offending participants should be banned from Game Center. The graphics are great and a real treat. Participation seems to be declining and we wonder if our concern with the profanity has really turned people off.
This game is fun and easy you can play with friends and talk to them through the game you can also fly unbelievable planes from the Werner brothers original to Santa's sleigh air wings has it all.
This isn't much fun. As another reviewer said, we wish there were single player mission beyond the tutorial. Great stress relief.
The game graphics and play are outstanding! Like the other reviewers we would like to play the computer as a option until more players are available for online gaming. A Mustang P-51 or Supermarine Spitfire would be a nice addition to the planes collection (hint).
The game is great. But we really wish there was a single player mode and possibly even a single player mission mode. Even if it takes making a completely new app, it would be great if there's a full single player game.

This game is great but none of the upgrades are free and there are only like five levels you can play without paying.

There are too many players who use cheats. Believe it or not there are some cheats built into the game and the app developer uses them as blackmail to leave feedback and tag in social media.
This game was great until it was hacked. The cheating is out of control. Now we understand why there's no one playing anymore. Too bad.
AirWing Gods got it partially right, each player's strengths increase with the accumulation of coins , you guys lowered the ability to get top scores, strength increases should have been based on level of play. PLEASE CREATE KILL RATIO FEATURE, sometimes you don't win the match but you accumulate more kills than your opponent, should be recognized, will increase level of the UX.
Very fun and thrilling game! Only upgrade we see for game Is make all ammo lethal in Tutorial mode for true practice.
This game is really cool you get to battle other people around the world. You control the airplane by tilting your phone and press the screen to shoot. There are a lot of arenas and stages to battle in. There are other aircraft that you can purchase. You can shoot paper clips paper balls plungers pencils rubber bands to destroy the other person. Online is sick.

Learn to fly in the tutorial environment and then go head-to-head with paper airplane pilots ranging in skill from the clueless novice who you can punish with a hail of guided missile pencils and pounding rubber bands to a seasoned Air Wings Master who will cover your craft with explosive suction cup darts. As your plane begins to spiral out of control the darts blow up one-by-one until you crash and burn to your death; but hey you still have three more lives! How fortunate, the experienced warrior has seen fit to Train you! Keep at it, young grasshopper, and you will one day rule the sky! Always gang up on the loser cowards who fly Kites and Bombers; pay your dues and you will love this game for a very long time.
Great game! The starter planes are not as capable as the expansion pack models, but the minimal cost is well worth the hours of intense fun! This game is kinda like golf… Play/cuss/play/cuss… But keeps you coming back for more! The Apple TV version is a bit difficult to control even with a game controller. Would be great to have a controller app using the accelerometer in an iPhone. Same control layout as the phone version, using a big screen… Would be awesome.
This is a great game, very simple, and easy. But we have some suggestions. In tutorial mode you should get some training to get a real feel for preparation for multiplayer such as being shot at, flight tactics, and how to succeed in taking down targets. This would really prepare players to get into multiplayer. Now in multiplayer there should be team mode like red verses blue and with online talking this would draw more people into it. Now…add more starter planes. You probably get this a lot but it's true. It would give the player more free choice. And speaking of free choice how about customizable planes. Now there's two parts to this. The first part is cosmetics like a pre made logo and a players camouflage paint job. Now the second part is the players personal plane they can make with limited points to fill up the categories. They can make four custom planes for a paid purchase of maybe 1-2 dollars. These are our suggestions for this game we look forward to seeing what you guys have to offer. We will write s review every other update…at least we'll try though. Bye.
This game has the potential to be the best game we've played in the App Store. Great graphics, great concept, and great fun. Only problem is that when playing online against others, it can become very glitchy! Please fix this issue. We can see people playing online against each other and checking their ranks, think about adding that feature on the next game. Also, come out with Air Wings 2.
This game is awesome , but we suggest adding Bluetooth gaming for multiplayer. It would also be cool if you can do flying tricks like barrel rolls. Another suggestion would be to be able to build your own plane or be able to keep upgrading one.
Good game but it needs free upgrades you have to buy to get the good stuff.

Why did you guys lie? Most of your In-app purchases AREN'T free. And yet you say that on the App Store. Just please don't make us waste money on better planes. It's not fair but overall good game.

Promising game with good graphics but you should be able to unlock planes without paying cash and an on screen controller should be available in settings.
This is the perfect way to spend 5-10 minutes against a real opponent in wonderfully fanciful arenas. In fact, all the arenas are well convinced, the airplanes make sense in their various configurations and it's just a lot of fun to play for all ages.
We purchased this game along with several others in an attempt to introduce a bit of variety into our day as we sit with our wife while she is in the hospital. We thought a few games would be nice to pass the time when our eyes grew tired from reading. We are surprised at the amount of time we have spent lost in the simplicity of how to play it. As a child, paper airplanes were always an enjoyable form of entertainment for us. This game introduced a bit of nostalgia for us in that regard. In particular, simply "hanging out" in the training arena practicing areal acrobatics, occasionally attempting to shoot at other airplanes helped us to perk up a bit and fight off the fatigue of sitting in a hospital room for hours. The creator's designs are wonderful and the graphics demonstrate a very articulated eye to creativity without bombarding the player with cluttered and distracting visual stimulus.
Love this game & app–and we would love to give it 5 stars but the app in conjunction with Game Center constantly times out (we.e. Wont connect) to start a match very frequently. This happens every time we play & is very frustrating. Also, it would be nice to play with more than 4 people at a time as we have lots of friends & we'd like to all play at the same time. Hope these kinks can be worked out for a better flying experience.
Easy to get in to and hard to be great at. Our and our young son both love to play it.
We love this app. The only drawback to the game is that you have to log off and log on to play again. There needs to be a button for replay.

We love playing this game with friends it's a lot of fun. It would be cool if it had a fun single player mode and you could unlock planes without having to spend a bunch of money. But otherwise it is addicting and fun.

It's so much fun and far ahead of all other app designs. Honestly, it's peculiar to us how one app could be this much more advanced then the completion. What's going on with this? It's so much fun and so well made that we think something spooky must be going on.
We Love this game. Great air battles with people from mall over the world. A great way to kill a few hours.
Great game. Doesn't take up too much time. Tutorial mode pretty entertaining but we wish they had an Ai so you could play vs the computer. May take a while to start winning battles as there is a bit of a learning curve.
