Games good but some things arent intuitive and theres no we nfo out there. For instance Repair Base. We want it. Dont know how to get the option to build it. Cant even find it through google. Researching techs.. Doesnt show what level your tech is until you try to upgrade it.

Start on easy to over come any learning curves. After that enjoy!!! We suggest iPads only…. Just not the same on an iPhone.

Much like Civilization this game is progressive. The tutorial is a simple walk through but one of the challenges of the game is to discover the different types of tools the game offers. At the beginner stage the obstacles are few and far between allowing you to discover the scope of the games tools without much interference. The Developer and designers should continue their work in creating more complexity but using the same model. The Universe came be expanded and the solar systems more diverse, additionally add complexity to the planets, allow for the development of cities, nations etc Overall very good job.

Its a good game. Logic is predictable after a certain point but there are no other games like it on the App Store.

Writing this to get free stuff. Good game though.

We love this game and we’ve been playing it on and off for years and Im hoping you guys will make another one with a more advanced interface. Thats all we have no complaints. Thanks!

Fun game we just re-found on our App list. Playing it again to pass the time.

Starting on the easy difficulty and can not get anywhere weapons platforms just set up are gone in seconds and not a enough resource to replace it start with different approaches looks like it would be great game if it would go some where.

Con: Some annoying and unnecessary bugs. If fuel converter gets disconnected from network, you cannot reconnect it. You must build new one from scratch – however, you generally restart at the level of fuel you previously generated. Malocs attack frequently, requiring you to fix damage every few minutes. We assume this is intended to add challenge, but mainly it creates tedium, repetition, and excessive micromanagement. If construction station gets disconnected, you cant reconnect it. Fairly one-dimensional game that plays the same each time. Boredom sets in quickly. Weird combination of tower defense and 4x that does neither well. Game is played in real time, which makes it feel longer than it really is and seems mainly filled with repetition – repeatedly playing defense against Maloc attacks. Inability to automate many aspects results in a higher level of micromanagement than most are probably used to in4x games. One of the few games we regret having devoted hours to in the process of mastering it. Not in the same class as Civ or Starbase Orion. Agree with other reviewers that tutorial is not helpful. With most 4x games we check out online user groups. It is perhaps telling that we could find none, which suggests there is not a dedicated user base. We assume that like us most players soon move on to other games. There is only one way to win, and you generally just have to follow the same pattern to win each time, unless you encounter one of the bugs mentioned earlier that require you to redo prior constructions. Once you have the ark ship built, a massive Maloc attack is triggered, yet again adding to the repetitive nature of fighting those ships – the only thing of note that ever happens in the game, and it is the same over and over. Pro: Graphics are good quality and handled by an older iPad model. Most items have an we symbol associated which allows you to quickly go to an explanation of the item and sometimes helpful hints. While the first hour or so involves some frustrating trial and error learning due to the mediocre tutorial, after that the logic of game and interface are easy to handle. With practice one learns to handle recurrent issues, like shortage of food- prioritize colonization of food producing planets, terraform food producing planets, and research faster harvesting of food. We deleted the game but would be interested in a richer version 3 that incorporates some automation, ability to take offensive with Malocs, and perhaps additional complexity such as diplomacy or planet development.

Prepare to lose hours of your like to this game.

This game is incredibly fun. It took some time to get adjusted to the mass scale of what you can do but once you reach that point the game is highly enjoyable. Losing a research ship to a black hole was a laugh out loud moment. We knew what was going to happen… Did that stop us? Well done Devs!

A good game that makes some hard choices about how to use your resources.

So nice resource and exploration game.

Alien Tribe 2 will steal your spare time and you won’t mind one bit. The game is a mix-up between real-time strategy, a "4X" strategy game and a city simulator (such as classic SimCity). Much of the strategy revolves around shoring up your defenses against the Maloc, the evil aliens who want to blow up your interstellar plumbing. Get Zeus Warguns as soon as possible by building one of each kind of turret and then one military ship of any type, but then focus on colonizing planets so that you can unlock the ability to build full size warships. You need warships to deal with the long range "gel bombers" that the Maloc eventually deploy because your turrets can’t shoot far enough to get the bomber. If you have no fleet, it’s game over if a bomber shows up. The game rewards exploration, so do it early and often. Missile Ships are actually the best explorers because they have a large sight range and can defend themselves against the Ci’Tan energy blobs that roam around unexplored space. However, only Research Ships can scan for planets to prepare them for colonization and find Ark Ship components; and only Research Ships scan deep space to find asteroids–using freighters to ours asteroids is the backbone of your economy and the more the merrier. Send your freighters to different asteroids so the Maloc won’t destroy them all at once. Eventually you will stumble upon several black holes in the galaxy (usually when one of your explorer ships mysteriously disappears). Despite the poor reception given to your explorer, black holes are actually your friend. The Maloc won’t go near a black hole, so any facilities you build near (but not too close) to a black hole are safe from attack, save for the occasional Ci’Tan (so you still need some defenses at your black hole base). You should connect your long range pipelines to a hub around a black hole with a construction base there to handle further pipeline construction. It sounds crazy, but you will be VERY thankful you have an unassailable central hub when you have to reconnect plumbing after one of your star systems is bombed. But because of those annoying blobs, you will need to station a warship or two to provide visibility; turrets can’t shoot without visibility and structures away from a colonized star system must get visibility from military ships. And of course, the object of the game is to send your Ark Ship into a black hole (it has a warp drive that uses the black hole to make a dimensional portal). The Maloc will try to stop you but having that base there to deploy turrets will make actually winning the game much easier. Too bad the ending is sort of anticlimactic. We wanted to see the Maloc go down the hole.

Good game, tutorial is lacking and has a pretty strong learning curve, but it’s a great concept.

We like the graphics, game in general, and space theme.

Lightweight, but with some nice elements, like the defense builds. Good fit for casual iPad play!

There’s a lot going on here with plenty to do. Very fun.

Like it so far just started playing. So far its a great game.

Pretty solid 4x game for the ipad.

Good game play it when ever we can.

We love everything about the gameexcept for black holes.

We were hoping to find something Pax Imperia’ish and we got way more than we bargained for. First time playing and the game just ate 5 hours of our life.

It’s been a while since we originally purchased it, but we’ll tell you: if you want a game to build an entire civilization up, this, while basic, will serve that purpose well.

Great game idea. However no means to distribute food, and would like to group military ships with mining ships. Not all functions work, making playing the game tedious. The game has potential if the developers drive improvements.

There needs to be more of a story mode.

You will lose time playing this game. It’s a very enjoyable and strategic.

So this game is amazing fun. Fast pace strategy game. Only problem is the tutorial was short felt like somethings were not answered but it can be easily learned.

It’s fun and well worth the money that’s all we need to say.

We finally found an rts that doesn’t require micro transactions, and has 0 of those day or month long wait times for unit builds. Rts they way it is supposed to be played.

We really enjoyed the first game but this is WAYYY better then last one.
