Player Experience Highlights

Community Insight:

We used to play clash a bunch but this game is much more relaxing and we dont have to stress about anything. To unwind we recommend to play on zen mode with your own music playing.

Its been awhile since their last updates for both games. No more goals after finishing it all other than challenge in distance. Please update both games.

We mean, sure, it's good, but it's so repetitive. Not really fun.

So glad this game is still somewhat supported, and runs well on newer iPhones. We were shocked to immediately see 2 negative reviews about rocks being hard to see! And glitches because we have owned this game and played it for 8 years and while yes, it can occasionally throw curveballs at you with tough rocks, its nothing you cant learn to avoid. The ambiance, visuals, and crisp gameplay make this an absolute classic. Theres nothing like going on a 30 minute run and beating your high score. To all those who are complaining we say its a skill issue, this game is mf perfect.

This game has beautiful graphics and is so relaxing. It is ad and internet free which is rare to see in games today. The music is beautiful and it is so worth it. Its amazing for road trips, making it one of our all time favorites.

Delightful color palette, the geometry is easy in the eyes. Get to level 11, unlock Maya buy the wing suit and the play zen mode. Really helps with our anxiety.

We love this game! Its a great way to pass the time on road trips, especially with the advantage of being able to work with no internet. The visuals are amazing on our TV and same with the music. We can tell so much work has been put into this! We totally recommend this game to anyone above the age of probably four or five. It has a simple system where you have to click or press in order to do tricks and get farther into the game. The zen mode has beautiful music and it is wonderful to relax and look at the game and its beauty. We definitely recommend it and we hope you give it a try.

Amazing game! Love the visuals, the music, the mechanics, and just the over all clean and well thought out game design. In a world of trash mobile games, this one really stands out and shows what they should be. We have also played the sequel, Altos Odyssey. We must say, that game went far and above this one, so if you like this, definitely get the next one. There are a few comments and notes we would like to add, however. The first thing is about characters. We dont like how the final character is just objectively better than all the others. We do agree there should be a reward for beating the game, but it should be a character with a really cool play stile, not just overpowered. Maybe like they glow and doing backflips makes them get a short dash or something, or maybe they float. Something very fun and new, but not overpowered. The second is the Apple Arcade thing. We dont like that you have to pay a subscription to get the best version. There should be the best version at the top for a higher one time charge. The final thing is that there should be a reward for getting really really far, maybe another character or a new feature. And one more thing! Make another game! Add more secrets, characters, biomes, mechanics, and progression, (maybe even a light story) than Odyssey had. We love everything about this game, and would love to see more, not locked behind a subscription. Ps: what was this game coded in? Might make a platformer ourselves, and would love to know. Keep being awesome.

Hands down the most beautiful game on the App Store. The graphics and the music pair for a pitch perfect gaming experience every time any hour of the day. We have found ourselves playing Zen mode for hours upon hours and we have never gotten bored of it even for a second. Unlike any infinite runner we have ever played Altos Adventure is a must have game for anyone. Our only regret is not buying it sooner. Thank you so much Snowman. We cant wait to try Altos Odyssey.

We play this game while watching youtube. Beautiful graphics, wonderful music and so relaxing. Its like a painting. Never quite finished, always amazing and stunning.

This game is very chill and fun to play when bored. Would recommend.

Our dad and we would play Alto's Adventure when we were a kid, and it has always been an entire family favorite. 7-8 years later we all still enjoy it. The beautiful graphics and scenery, the variety of characters and power-ups, and the really cute llamas (lol) make the game so entertaining we highly recommend this game to anyone and everyone!! :).

An elegant, simple, beautiful game.

We love this game a lot it put our mind at Peace. We recently discovered it when we went to the Apple Store when we wanted to charge our phone and we were going through a lot of anxieties at the time. While waiting for our turn to be helped by one of the Apple representatives, we started playing this on one of the iPhone 15 somehow it calmed us down so we decided to download it on our phone and its one of the best things we've done recently 10/10.

Probably the best iPhone game ever. Sure it costs 4.99 but there are no IAP or ads. Relaxing game with intuitive interface, easy controls, beautiful soundtrack, and beautiful graphics. Only a couple suggestions: 1. Either make items in the Workshop cheaper or add a coin multiplier item. This would be a gold star which would spawn like magnets or feathers, and maybe could multiply your coins for a duration. The duration could be upgraded in the shop. These would make the process of getting items cheaper, as it can be kind of annoying to grind for 20 minutes for a helmet that you would waste within the next 5 minutes. 2. Give Izel more special items than just a rocket snowboard. The character says she has a few special prototypes but in-game there is only one unique item. 3. Fix some visual bugs. Sometimes, when crashing at high speeds, the character seems to freeze and hover a couple feet above the ground, which looks really weird. Other than these suggestions we think you have created a truly beautiful game. Keep up the good work Snowman.

We love this game! Zen mode is so relaxing its almost criminal. We wish three could be an option to turn off rain or snow as well as the day/night cycle. It would be fun to only play during just the day or night.

This game looks and plays amazing. The game is simple but complex. Definitely worth the money and will give you endless fun.

We have just completed all 180 levels of the game. It took us over a year. We remember playing this game when we were a kid we think it used to be free on android or something. We caught a glimpse of it in our memory (remembering that it was really fun) and googled aesthetic relaxing phone games to try and find it. Sure enough, we did, and now here we are!! We cant tell you how many attempts it took to get 250,000 points in one run. We gave up for a while since it was kind of impossible but then we made a run of 236,000 before dying. It was absolutely brutal but showed us it was possible. Anyway this is random and boring but all to say that we love this game!! It is totally worth it. Youll be coming back to it for months.

Ive had this game for years and although we stop playing it for a while we always come back to it and get sucked in for a few hours/days at a time. Its simple, but not easy, we love the graphics and the music and of course the llamas. Our only criticism is that some of the challenges are pretty hard. Last time we stopped playing was because we could not get past a challenge and it became frustrating but we started playing again and made it past.

We LOVE THIS GAME SMMM!! We play all the time, and it's so addicting! Plus you can play offline, so it's our go-to if we don't have service. The game is very immersive and relaxing, even if we lose. The game just gets harder as you go, which doesn't make it boring. We could play this game for a while and stay occupied. The elders are really fun to run from, and overall the game just satisfies our need for speed. We love hitting long combos and grinding on banners. The only slight flaw we have with this game is during the night cycle, it gets kind of hard to see rocks and obstacles. Anyways, this game is 100% worth it! :).

Characters sometimes stop in the air after falling.

Thank you for continuing to support iOS 12.

Be better if it had ragdoll in it then ill give it a five star.

Almost comical how obvious you make it to get people stuck on a challenge. Shouldnt even be a hard one, Ive done it before many times just without the challenge, and now that we have it its impossible? Make it make sense.

Love the vibes. Love the chill. Love the gameplay. Love the music. Do not love that the rocks are covered in snow so we can SEE THEM EVER. Have to pay 1000% attention or it gets frustrating and we quit :/ If they werent covered in snow we could see them without blending into the background. Maybe introduce a setting to change that.

Great app/game! Timeless! But wanted to write a review because the app needs an update for iphone 14! You cant access the wingsuit because it is covered by the front facing camera. Thanks.

Same awesome game we discovered on android! But wheres the coin doubler in the workshop?? That with a maxed out magnet timer keeps us playing for hours.

Experience was good just not a fan.

We absolutely love this game but the sound isn't working.

This game is really relaxing as it is but the red lady that comes chasing after you after awhile is really annoying. We would like a version inside the game that would let you just soar through the map without having to be chased. PLEASE DO NOT MAKE THIS AN IN-GAME PURCHASE.

Absolutely love this game! From android to iOS, its great. However, android did have the option that after so many tries (about a dozen) that youre given the option of purchasing a goal with in game coins if youre unable to reach it. So far, we have not seen that for our iPhone. Im currently stuck and have been for days. Any helpful tips.

We really do like this game. We want to love it, but there are some things that make it impossible for us to give it five stars. First, the good. The look and feel of the game is spectacular. We love the changing weather, the backgrounds, the music. The zen mode is great as a practice mode for the gameplay. The bad. First, as a platformer, you have very little time to react to things coming up. The rocks can be painfully annoying, especially as there are other things on the ground that can make it hard to determine quickly if things upcoming are rocks or not. Rocks are often placed in odd spots that can mess up otherwise good jumps. It can often be hard to tell when the player is spinning whether the board is level or not, especially as the player changes in size relative to screen. Some challenges are quite difficult, especially as one mistake will make you have to start again. The helmets are not that useful – we actually only bought one and never did again because after a crash it added an extra step before we could restart another run. Overall, it is a great concept game, but some of the frustrating aspects just make us not love it. A lot of these problems are present also in Altos Odyssey, but hopefully they can be addressed in the future.

Loving the game, but every so often, the iPadOS version loses the ability to jump all of a sudden. Very frustrating particularly when youre on a long run and you know youre going to die shortly without any ability to avoid it. In particular, seeing this bug on OS 17/18 running on an iPad Pro.

Fun, simple concept that just has a great, relaxing atmosphere. However, for a game this simple that has been on the market for so longespecially since you need to pay for it, it is frustratingly unfinished. If youre going fast enough, your character just goes right through the magnet/feather power-ups without collecting them. And speaking of powerups, the hover power-up is so incredibly useless. It can cause you to float so high at times that you completely miss llamas, coins, and other powerups and does nothing when youre grinding. We actively avoid picking it up because it makes us miss out on coins and magnets. At the same time, it floats you so that you dont need to worry about hitting rocks, but actually using ityou can STILL hit rocks! So since you cant always tell if you're gonna hover over the rock or clip the top, AND it makes you miss most coins and magnets, its useless. Unfortunately, avoiding it or not wasting coins to upgrade it isnt always an option because some of the challenges require you use the hover while completing tasks. We wish we could get our money back, this game is just not worth $5. We dont even think we would play it if it was free honestly.

Ive been playing AO for a minute now and although we do recommend this overall for its visuals and easy to get into gameplay; this game can be relaxing and frustrating at the same time. You can unlock different characters by completing goals therefore leveling up your character and then having the option to choose those new characters with different attributes to their speed or agility. Completing those goals is where it gets rough because they're not goals based off of skill but based off of RNG (Luck). Any game that has this mechanic has us rolling our eyes as to why this would be implemented. The goals range from simple things to insanely difficult luck based challenges. This kills the mood for this game. They need to rework the goals to make this a more relaxing experience rather than a frustrating one. We would give it more stars if this wasn't the case but for now ill rate it a 3/5.

Havent played this game in Years and thought to buy and downloaded it. Unfortunately, Im having issues with the sound and music quality; we cant hear anything when Im loading in and trying to play the game. Its like everything goes silent time we load in. Im starting to think we wasted $5 on this and we dont want to. Is there anything Im missing or is that simply the game having an audio Bug.

We dont want to be too harsh on the weather cycle because it adds some fun to the game, but it sure would be nice to have a always begin at morning option. Starting at night on a rainy day is just flat out annoying.

Been playing altos adventure and altos odyssey for years now and the only reason Im not giving it 5 stars is Ive noticed a few of the later achievements have been glitched out for us, ie not unlocking when we clearly performed the goal in the run. Maybe an update will fix this.

The price of every item in this game is far to expensive. We mean you have to play 60hrs+ even to unlock the first couple of upgrades to your character. And the cast of characters are terrible. Each one is terrible at shredding the slopes. We think the objectives are unfair as well. It's much to difficult to accomplish some of this level ups. At least one of these objectives, to accomplish a two triple backflips in one run took us at least upwards of 20hrs. We think this game is not for the faint of heart. We'd rate its difficulty rating at an 8/10, primarily because the backflip features are terrible for the characters and you almost always end up crashing.

Just spent the money and played for ten minutes and hated it after the first 30 seconds but kept trying to get used to it, but can't. It's so disorienting and uncomfortable. It moves fast which would be fine if the frame was shifted a little to the right so we could see ahead a tiny bit. The way it's slanted and framed just makes us feel nauseous and frustrated. We've played games like this before and never encountered that problem.

Visually good. Gameplay good if you like infinite runner games. Would be more interesting with sound or music. There are sound and music faders in the settings but they dont do anything. Almost like the designers forgot something.

So there are lots of bugs, the challenges are hard when you get deeper into it, and the items cost lots of money. We bought this game a day ago and we started playing 20 minutes ago. We were annoyed and first cause, well it was being annoying. Then we started to like it (READ TO THE END) ALTO STOPED JUMPING! We literally tried EVERYTHING. But he still wouldnt jump T-T. Also before that it took SO long to restart.five to ten. What would u rate it? Id rate it 0. So ye we Kinda wish. Scratch that. Wish that we could rate this 0 stars. (This is just our opinion).

The game clearly gates levelling behind maps that are specific to goals. We were a lot more interested when it seemed like this was procedurally generating content and you could just get lucky or unlucky. It became clear quick that the maps are specific to goals and intentionally make them harder to complete. This seems pretty lame and takes the fun out of what we thought was some awesome procedural generation, it clearly is not. Unfortunate. Getting lucky on a map can help people continue to progress despite some difficulty getting unlucky, this gating means people will just get hard stuck and quit. Fun while it lasted.

Dont waste your money on this game, it is horrible, awful graphics, and needs lots of issues fixed. Bad, bad, bad game. Go waste your money on something else, but not this developers games, looks like you lost a customer, Im never playing your games again until you at least make it so you dont have to start over every time you crash or fall in a chasm, if there was an option to rate your game zero stars, then we would do that.

We want a refund on this app im not gonna play this game anymore so we just want our money back simple its a good game but we completely forget it exits until now.

So when we Play the game Im playing and soon we just go through rocks But it helps us Not die! So This game Rocks.

Alto's Adventure is a beautiful, well-crafted game with few bugs and loads of amazing features. The game is really hard to get good at but easy to begin playing. We're currently working on level 20 and we feel like the game is super well polished with little to no lag. Very good game, would recommend.

We have a few things to say: This game is AWESOME. No question. We love how when you ride down the mountain, you come upon so many unexpected obstacles. We love how that guy on a llama with a whip chases after you if you disturb it. But the three things that would make the game better is adding more characters, more obstacles, and more things in the map as you go. Other than that, we love this game.

Been playing this game for years on and off.Recently we picked it back up again and am finally 2 levels away from completing it.we love this game and the art is amazing.
