This is the best game Ive played in years you should buy this game.
Its almost identical to the ps2 classic. We wish rockstar would release all 3 on mobile. Theres a couple guns missing, and the cheat codes are different too, otherwise everything is as it should be. Thanks Rockstar! Ps. We need max payne 2. Please.

Ya says there is full screen support for iPhoneX in description. Well this is totally false and the game is completely letterboxed. :Updated Review: Ok so this game is full screen on iPhoneX if the display zoom setting is off in ios display options. Not sure why this affects certain apps and not others, this should totally be handled on the ios end not the programs end.

So cool to enjoy this early 2000s classic we remember playing this with a good friend when it first came out and the game runs smooth on our phone as it did back then on ps2.
Its a good game, it brings back the good old days of the early 2000s.
We remember our older brother having this game on his phone and we didnt know how to play, and there was this level where you were in some type of courtyard in the city we could never get past, so much nostalgia.
This games storyline was gripping and raw. We had actually never played it on a computer before. It was a lot of fun.

The game runs well, no audio issues encountered. No bugs. And also a big plus on the language options. :-).
Just like the ps2 version but on mobile! Sad they dont make games like this nowadays.
Remind us every detail of PSP PS1, every mechanism is just like old school. Definitely recommend action amazing game.
This was actually our first time experiencing this game (we hope we didnt just commit a sin by admitting that), but overall, it was a positive one. The game ran at a locked 60fps throughout our entire play through and we cant recall encountering a single bug while playing. A well earned five stars Id say! Our only disappointment came after completion of the story when we found that Rockstar had yet to port its sequel over to iOS! It runs on the engine and was originally released on the same platforms so Im hopeful its in the works as we type.
This game is awesome! Only slight issues with sound direction, but other then that its amazing! It would be nice to have max Payne 2 on mobile.
First time playing this game was on our iPad with our ps4 controller and l absolutely fell in love with the game! EDIT: Wish they would add the other games.
This is what we remember. The controller support with Dualshock 4 seems pretty good too.
We love old games this is our favorite rockstar game and when we heard it came to mobile we got for only $2.99 which is cheap for a old game and as soon as we opened it nothing bad happens with the app no glitches no crashes no nothing the controls are great they feel like a PS2 we feel everyone should play this and Im playing on iPhone 6s absolutely recommend everyone to play it.
If you want to have a better experience play it will then a controller. Any controller will do like a PlayStation or Xbox controller.
Ive been an avid max payne fan for more than 10 years, this is a hall of fame type game in gaming and this mobile port is real good.

We played the game with both controller and used the touch screen and had almost 0 problems. Loved the game.

This game is great, great voice acting, amazing story telling, the graphics, while not improved, still looks like any port. We recommend this game to any one who really likes shooters or storytelling.
Wow. The nostalgia trip was insane! Brought back so many memories. We remember playing this on PS2 as a kid in the middle of winter in Chicago for hours on end. Graphics look much better than the original of course. Nothing special compared to todays standards obviously but definitely cleaned up and crisp. Not a huge fan of the amount of game they cut out of the mobile version (multiple levels) but it still works and is a pretty quick play in this version actually. Well worth the money and still such a fun and insanely well written game. Ahead of its time for sure. Classic.
Really enjoyed this game, our only issue was that it wasnt long enough haha gameplay is very smooth especially when paired with a controller the story is very captivating and has a lot of tone and personality honestly feels like playing a movie would definitely recommend.

Character appearances could change instead of looking the same. Although the idea that Max is gunning and grinning is kinda amusing. There were a couple times we had to look up a walkthrough to get past a single part but it was pretty easy throughout the rest of the game. We hated the fact that after we get completely stocked up on guns, ammo, and painkillers, we end up losing them when he gets drugged and spoiler spoiler spoiler… But hey you get better guns later. Will the next one come out.
This is a great game Im just looking for the sequel to finish off the story in our opinion 1&2 are the main games for the story.
We purchased the rockstar collection just to have it years ago and now in 2021 Im playing Max Payne. We never knew this game was so epically ahead of its time every way.
Fantastic iOS port of a legendary game. Perhaps the best action game of all time. While it was made for keyboard and mouse, the touch controls here are much better than usual and we had no trouble completing it. By the way, Max Payne 1 and 2: The Fall of Max Payne were made by Remedy (Alan Wake, Quantum Break, Control).
We loved this game on PS2 and a big part of it was the music. We can get no sound out of this game on here after trying every option Ive read about online.
