This game is one of the first games that we downloaded on our phone. We were immediately blown away by the soundtrack, graphics, and simple controls. We’ve been playing it since it came out, and have reached the top 1% in the point total and combo multiplier areas. We love playing the game, and it is the only blue game that we feel is worth playing after you finish some important milestone or completion beyond other Alto products. That said, we have been experiencing a bug where the lemur glitches of the ground sometimes and is not consistently touching the surface realistically, i.e running inter a grind before the game corrects itself as the lemur drifts back into place. Also, when the ground leaves the screen from a steep hill or other phenomena and the lemur catches up to us, the lemur appears in the air. One time when this happened, the lemur actually knocked us off our board. We are aware of this mechanic, but we would love to see this bug fixed so we dont have to worry about it anymore. Also, we would love to see more attention payed to the game, as it has a lot more potential. Even moderately sized updates would be nice. Again, this game is amazing and we love its simple quality. We would love to see what team Alto does next, if anything at all. Thanks for reading this review, devs.

This game is both addictive and creative at the same time! We love the biomes and challenges that come with them. The weather feature is even more magical, and it has a mind of its own! We really dont get what the hate is about. This is the first Alto game we have played, so we didnt play the first one, but we love the oddessy. Good game.

Our data from Altos odyssey is not transferring and we dont know why.

We absolutely love this game and we think it adds a nice spin on the original game and we do agree with other people’s complaints about the game, our only complaint is that after you get to the temples you unlock the compass. That initself is fine but what the compass does is it can take you to a specific biome for 1000 coins, personally we think that 1000 coming is to much for such a small task.

The game is good but it has some bugs. When we start the game Alto starts flipping without us even touching the screen! Its kinda annoying when your trying to play the game seriously.

Great game, but please fix the bug that unchecks the promotion toggle each time the game is restarted. Thank you!

This game has a classic arcade feel of jumping and flipping over things with smooth gameplay and gorgeous graphics. The game itself is pretty relaxing. The only complaint is it gets repetitive but not a huge problem since we can sit it down and pick it back up a few months later. We kinda wish there were more drastically different scenes though.

Have odyssey & Im level 49 but on lost city it tells theres no data to be transferred. Please help. Thank you.

We love the game and we’ve enjoyed playing. We just wish the cost of travel wasnt 1,000 coin. That would make traveling back to the lost city a lot easier to complete the large number of those challenges. We get that its supposed to be a bit more complicated to keep you hooked but its slightly annoying we have to pay so much to travel back to the lost city and you kind of fly thought that part of the map.

We can navigate in the game but unable to confirm anthing with a XBOX wireless controller.

Cant even hear anything without headphones lol.

Having really bad performance issues on iPhone 14 pro max when in pro motion mode, VERY noticeable framerate drops every couple seconds, love the game otherwise, but please fix.

We had to stop in the middle of our game to write a review because of how beautiful this game is. This game checks the box for everyone. The beauty and detail with the perfect relaxing music in the background make the game stand out from others. We seriously can not believe how relaxing this is even without the zen mode. We would really love to see more updates and maybe different variation of music and/or a new area! Please take this into consideration because we will be playing this game for a while. Such a wonderful work of art.

We cant stand playing this anymore to get the final figure person whatever her name is we just wanted to end and be a little bit more interesting than the city perhaps a dirigible or a party at the end or perhaps, depending on your choice of sex you get to be with a princess or if female then a prince, or at least some kind of congratulations for wasting immense amounts of time to get to the very end? CHEAT ALLOW ME TO CHEAT AND BE DONE!. HA.. Otherwise a very fun game for a while. We suggest being able to land in a balloon basket and sail upwards into some kind of cloud party or something anything really to add a finality.

Altos Adventure was one of the first games we ever played and god what an adventure it was. Beautiful landscapes, incredible gameplay, and deep contemplative beautiful soundtracks. Odyssey does not live up to this. Even with the addition of the lost city as a part of this game being on the arcade, odyssey still lacks a certain authenticity and atmosphere intrinsic to the first game. Namely the soundtrack is not nearly as touching or well done as the first games was. Odysseys soundtrack is perfectly fine to listen to while playing the game, but we would never listen to it alone, compared to Adventures soundtrack which we would enjoy simply sitting down and listening to. In terms of gameplay little changes between Adventure and Odyssey. Wall riding and other elements like pool dives are nice, but appear far too little to add that much to your gameplay experience. Especially since wall riding rarely appears, if at all, outside of the canyon lands. All this being said, there are some upsides to the game. Namely, the new biomes add variety to the terrain and gameplay, and while the scenery isnt as nice as the original, its still pretty to look at. Overall, this sequel is much of the same and worth getting if youve not played the original game, but if you have this game will be less of an experience than the original and therefore is not worth getting.

This was the first game we played when we first got an electronic device. And the only complaint we have is that when youre listening to music, it automatically turns off when you get into the game. But otherwise, a amazing game.

Its fun but not as much as its predecessor. Unlike its predecessor, this game cant be won. It takes an incredible amount of chance to be able to get the goals.

If you have progress saved on your old altos odyssey, it will not transfer over. The game is amazing but a complete loss of progress is so demoralizing. Amazing game, but that grind is too boring to do again.

This game is just like altos adventure, but worse, heres a few reasons why. 1. Chasms The chasms are really annoying, sometimes they are very wide and the character doesnt have enough speed to get across the chasm, this is also why we purchased the wingsuit a while back, because the chasms are almost impossible to get over because the character is too slow to get across the chasm 2. Prices need to lowered in the workshop You need to lower the prices for some of the stuff in the workshop, for example, the helmets cost 1500 coins, thats too expensive for just a one time use items, lower the price for helmets to 500 coins instead, nextly it costs 3000 coins to get a chasm rescue, that too expensive to, lower the price for chasm rescues to 1000 coins instead, in altos adventure, if you own tupa, you can get a free chasm rescue in each run 3. Pause button The pause button at the bottom of the screen is just annoying, every time we try to do backflips, we end up touching the pause button, it would be nice if the pause button was at the top of the screen instead 4. The backflips are just the worst The characters backflip so freaking slowly, Alto and Paz are probably the worst characters ever, they backflip freaking slow, please increase the speed of Alto and Pazs backflips 5. The goals The goals are stupid and sometimes almost impossible to complete, Im on level 42 and Im stuck on this one goal that says do 10 wall jumps in one run we dont know what a wall jump is Therefore if you are thinking about getting this game or even the paid version of this game, go download another game through Apple Arcade, this game isnt worth your Apple Arcade subscription, trust us, there is other games through Apple Arcade. Rant Over.

Starting screen comes up and says tap to start. But nothing happens.

Wow, this game is gorgeous, and so zen. It reminds us a lot of tiny wings, so if you like that then we recommend this. The only thing really is that we could see it getting very repetitive since there arent many upgrades and options. And you should be able to do lots of different tricks besides only a backflip. Overall, great game, we hope they keep adding to it.

We love this game, we just wanted to point out a small bug. If your playing as Sumara and you land after doing a trick with a decent amount of speed shell sometimes glitch in the floor. She comes out after a second or so it doesnt mess up game play, its just a small bug we noticed. This is such a fun game to play, and its very relaxing.

We love this game!! Itd be really cool if there was a way to play with other people. There could be races or different activities that require more than one person. Just a thought :)

The game is overall very fun and rather easy to play once you get the hang of it, however, we only have two problems. The changing sky and the backflipping speed. The changing sky is pretty cool, we just wish the nights were brighter as we found it hard to see rocks. The backflipping speed is very slow, it’s hard for us to make a ful flip even when we have considerable space and time to do so. Other than that, the game is great!

We love this game and the game before it, but the only thing which makes us lower the rating by one star is the compass. After buying the compass, we shouldnt have to pay 1,000 coins to use it. In our opinion, it should be free after purchase of the compass. If you absolutely have to put a cost on it, make it 100 or 200, as such a high price is unattainable in early game.

Overall a great game but there are some parts that need tweaking. Sometimes Ill go back flipping off a cliff that seemed steep according to the camera but then a another hill of sand will appear and we die because of something we couldnt see. Something similar to this happens but instead when we backflip off a cliff as Im flying through the air and am about to land we end up falling into a chasm that we couldnt see. And sometimes Ill receive air time from either a tornado or balloon bounce or from rising out of a pool, just to get thrown into a random chasm. And sometimes itll be one of the balloons that sits in a wide chasm thatll throw us past the second balloon but not quite to the edge of the chasm.

Im on the grind to getting the third character. Yet on level 28 it tells you to grind a shipwreck. Its annoying because we have spent 4k on going to the dunes in hopes of finding a shipwreck. But we’ve gone through all of the dunes in one run and there is nothing. Most annoying challenge so far.

Was loving the game until we purchased the Compass. The game now defaults to the Canyons. If we want to get back to the Lost City we have to pay 1000. At this rate Ill be out of coins in a few replays.

We can only play it in the app store, we can not actually download it to play it. So we have to search for it in the app store to play it. Does not make sense.

Bro we were just casually playing this game and getting chased by a lemur while wingsuiting until the lemur starting chasing us in MID AIR?? We were far from the ground and the lemur caught us which caused the whole game to glitch. Pls fix that bug soon.

This game could be great but it is littered with fake difficulty. Say for example, whenever you are playing you find flowers pretty often, maybe every 2-3 minutes, as soon as you have a goal that requires a flower you will not see them for 10-15 minutes. Is a lazy way of making you play more. Its just frustrating bad game design.

The image is very dark especially at nights. Hardly see anything.

Sometimes when we use wingsuite and fall into sand we can do back flip infinite times and scores up. Wish we could share screenshot but its not allowing here haha.

The first time we picked up this game was only a few days ago, when we were on yet another aimless search to find a game to play. And as little time as it has been, we can already say that we’ve made up our mind about this one. Its simple, its beautiful, and its enjoyable. What more could we ask for? We picked up this game thinking it would be just another endless runner. Just another coin collecting, frustrating bore. But after playing for a little while, we became somewhat invested. The inclusion of multiple biomes surprised us. And the introduction of new characters each one with their own unique qualities? It interested us, to say the least. We usually dont play endless runners. But something about this game just kept us playing. Beyond getting money or finding map fragments, the game is fun. Its plain enjoyable. The artistic design of this game blew us away. Even in its simplicity, the graphics are beautiful especially the sunsets. And the music, when you finally reach the last biome of the game? Absolutely phenomenal. Something about this game is different than most other endless runners. Maybe its the care that is put into the mechanics, or the beauty of the music that plays all the while. Or maybe its the intricacies of it. The satisfaction of performing a perfect combo; the excitement of beating a previous score or of finding a new character. Regardless of what it is, this game is one that we highly recommend.

This game is so stunning. We died so many lost so many times from only paying attention to the background scenery. Definitely recommend.

Snowboarding with art. Its like Living snowboard art with beautiful music and atmosphere. Tons of upgrades and unlockable characters even an endless mode. There is a bug. When you enable the 120 fps mode for iphone 13 pro it has a odd stutter effect.

We love Altos Odyssey and have played it for some time now. So whenever we saw that Apple Arcade was making a newer version of the game we were so excited!!! But it was a bit of a letdown for us. After the initial excitement of finding the pieces of the map and seeing the Lost City once or twice, it kind of loses its appeal. We wish they would add more additional content- some things to REALLY make it stand out from its predecessor. Like perhaps an additional character you can unlock, new equipment/gear, or even more terrains and bios to explore! Overall good game, just wish there was more to it.

If you have sensitive eyes or get annoyed/frustrated/angry easily, we wouldnt play this game. It has lightning and other bright flashes in the background and sometimes, rocks can blend right in with the background and can knock you off your board when you cant even see them(plz fix). Other than that, its an awesome game and we would totally suggest it. (Wish it could have been a 4.7!)

We’ve been playing on Mac and cant close the game after opening it! Theres no close/exit out button :[

The lemurs are very annoying. Since the game is randomly generated, sometimes when a lemur starts coming after you there LITERALLY is no way to get rid of them, so they will end your run. We’ve also noticed that vines or ropes like the appear after lemurs, but those dont help since the lemurs can still kill you on them and theres no way to fall through the ropes to get a boost. Other than this one (pretty major for me) annoyance, this game is great and a classic mobile game everyone should play.

We like the game overall. The concept and design is very nice. We do wish there was an option to do light or dark only mode. Sometimes we play it outside and we cant see anything once its on the night scenes.

We adore this game! Sadly we havent been able to play it on our appleTV lately, it has some sort of delay. Remote is charged, appleTV has been reset, we have restarted the game multiple times why does delay this continue to appear? We tried the non-arcade version as well as the first alto game and we seem to have a delY with all. Please help!

This is a wonderful game on iPad, but is a lesson in frustration on the Mac. It must be a BT ‘lag’ that creeps in. We just give up as we can’t perform any complex tricks without it spoiling the whole experience. Can this be fixed or is it a limitation that must be lived with? Only the developer knows.

When its night its too hard to see the obstacles, seems like an unnecessary handicap.

The game is interesting in that new elements reveal themselves consistently (with rock sliding, ruins, collecting things, and the city), the art design is amazing, and the zen mode is pretty fun. We think there are some serious flaws with it too, though. The main issue is the fact that the time-of-day and weather changes a lot, which is sometimes cool (like the thunderstorms with blue lightning), but this causes a problem because the character and all the obstacles are dark, so its impossible to see where you are and where the rocks are. The rock sliding mechanism is also problematic, where its usually impossible to chasm jump using rocks, and it sometimes flips the character instead of sliding on the rock, causing a crash. The only other things are that itd be nice if the stuff in the shop was more affordable compared to how hard it is to earn money, and maybe itd be cool if there were not rocks in the zen mode, or at least the person stood back up from a crash quicker.

Its impossible to navigate the Lost City at night. The constant crashes ruins the gameplay experience.

Nice way to waste a few minutes, except the position of the pause button means hitting it and then you crash unexpectedly Please move the darn thing to the top like other games.
