Don’t get us wrong, we love this app, but it’s gotten crazy slow and unresponsive lately. Once that’s fixed, it will be awesome again. Dev suggestion: in-app way to contact support?

We liked the app when we first started using it. We even decided to purchase it to remove adverts. Now they want to charge a monthly subscription fee. Seems like theft to us. Im deleting it and moving on. We would suggest others do the same.

This is our favorite game but there is a glitch that needs help. When we are coloring it freezes and so we end the game and reopen it and Ill have to redo a huge portion. Please fix it and Ill give five stars.

We got a little obsessed with this app. However for days now theres been no new content.

While our mom has her painting split up into quadrants Where She Can only move on To the next quadrant If She finished the previous quadrant, we dont have That option anywhere.

All the reviews and the information on the page says its $4.99 monthly to get no ads and unlimited access to the features, but in the app it says its a $29.99 monthly fee. Im not shy about paying for an app if we really enjoy it, and this has the makings of a satisfying and relaxing app, but $30 a month is outrageous. Dont get us wrong, we do enjoy this app, but theres a scammy element to this pricing business. Theres also a zoom issue which other reviews have pointed out, but overall we think it could be a hit once they straighten out the kinks.

We love coloring apps. Pixel Art has an intuitive interface that doesnt lag. We often found myself getting frustrated because it would lag when we tried to move around the photo. It also lags when ,moving through the color pallet and when using the fill feature. If these issues can be ironed out, it could be a favorite coloring app.

We love the concept of this app – what a great way to learn about art and get an appreciation for it! However, we want to color in one square at a time, kind of like a meditation, even if there are hundreds of squares that are the same color. The app will sometimes auto fill, even if that feature is turned off. Its frustrating to think we know where we are on a picture, only to find that 1/2 of it has been completed without us. We understand that a lot of people love the auto fill option, but there are some people who dont. When we turn off that feature, It should stay off. For that reason, and that reason alone, we had to delete the app. It just became too maddening.

We paid $6.99 to remove ads and get access to all tools and now am being told we need to sign up for a $4.99/mo subscription to access the same features. New pictures are not out consistently, so we signed up for the subscription thinking it would give us new content. It doesnt. When new content comes out it is pretty good, but we dont appreciate being strong armed into spending more money on an app when we should be grandfathered under the old pricing model.

Addicting app, but impossible to open. The app keeps crashing Unbelievable! Also people are most likely to wait for an app to load when there is a percentage bar showing how much more it need to load than an intimidating circle.

If, like us, you are drawn in by the promise of only $4.99 a month to subscribe, then let us tell you now they blatantly lie in their description about the price as well as the trial period. Its not a 3 day free trial and then $4.99 a month. Its a 7 day free trial and then $29.99 a month. Why in Gods name would we want to pay $29.99 for a coloring app? These developers are not only liars, theyre completely out of their minds if they think Im going to pay that. Thats absolutely insane for a monthly subscription fee. TLDR: THEY LIE ABOUT THEIR SUBSCRIPTION FEE AMOUNT. DONT DOWNLOAD!

We loved this app when we first downloaded it. We even paid to have the ads removed. Like a lot of other reviewers we finished the available paintings over a month ago and now when we open the app all we get is a page to buy a monthly subscription. We cant even see the paintings we’ve already completed. That we paid for! DONT waste your time with this. Its just a rip-off.

Update: we reduced the number of stars of our review from 4 to 1. We finished all of the available paintings about 1 month ago and there have been no new paintings added since then. As noted in our original review, we paid $6.99 to remove ads and be always able to use the auto fill feature. Now the developer keeps throwing up a page to get you to subscribe for $4.99 monthly to remove ads and have unlimited use of the tools. Since this started, there have been no new paintings, unless they are only offering new paintings to subscribers. Original review: we really like this app and paid $6.99 to remove the ads. Normally we dont mind occasional ads, but the auto fill stops working after 10 minutes and you needed to watch an ad to get another 10 minutes. This is super annoying. Our big beef is that some paintings (particularly very wide ones – so far The Last Supper and The Creation of Adam) are totally skewed. While they can still be colored, they look ridiculous. Since this seems like the only way you can contact the developer, Id like to add in a suggestion that the user can use either landscape or portrait modes. This would be especially helpful on the really wide paintings and may resolve the skewing problem.

There are lots of color by number painting games out there that we love but your app is truly entertaining because it not only reveals the artist name and title but the erudite info that further enlightens us. Im a music teacher and love to listen to music of the same era of the painting Im coloring. SO MUCH FUN ON A SUMMERs DAY. Helps us fall asleep at night, too! Thank you for existing!!!!!

We enjoy this app but we dont care for the freezing that happens after a short time playing it. We work along for a little while and then it freezes and we lose everything we’ve done during that time. We hope this can be fixed.

Its hard to enjoy this as much as we could because the its just so laggy and freezes constantly. We can barely get through one color without having to force close the app or just quit out because of getting frustrated when it sticks and lags. Hoping it can be fixed with an update.

Started this today and can stop in for Fourth of July so now Im gonna go watch fireworks.

We really like this app its very soothing but you run out of pictures to do. We have to wait sometimes 4 or 5 days till they put new ones up. We paid to get rid of the ads and get auto fill at 99 percent. We are not getting our moneys worth at this point. Kind of a rip off!

Still crashes and loses all progress.

Just lost an hour of progress from another crash. Actually surprised to read this was supposed to have been addressed cause the app has crashed regularly since we got it last week. Says we have the most recent edition. Im just so fed up with it. Good idea. But poor execution from our perspective.

We cannot believe this app! We had the app previously. After a few months It would not download any new paintings. We deleted the app then redownloaded it. To our shock the app now requires some paintings that we had previously colored be paid for with a monthly subscription! Out of the 40 paintings now available to us to be colored 39 of them must be paid. Could be a great app but definitely falls short. Will be deleting it permanently. A real shame!

Even though the app kept crashing and deleting all our work, the pictures were free. The only thing they were charging for was to rid the app of advertisements. We uninstalled and reinstalled the app to make sure we had the latest version, since we were still having issues. We probably shouldnt have done that because now some of the pictures that we had previously colored are no longer free. Some of the pictures are now part of the $4.99 a month subscription option. We will be deleting this app.

Like this app, but it freezes and you lose all of the progress youve made. Frustrating!

We loved this app until the latest update which erased all of the paintings we had completed and wont let us start any new ones.

We would like to Thank You!! After losing our wife to breast cancer a couple of years ago we are retiring from life as a musician this provides an outlet of creativity that we never imagined could ever happen. We cannot thank you enough.

After working on a picture for 40 minutes, all of a sudden the app freezes and you have to restart the app only to find that you have lost most of the work youve done! Super annoying!

We really like this app, but we’ve been running into an issue where the app freezes and undoes all the coloring we’ve done previously. Really frustrating…

We are Sisyphus and this game is our boulder of which we have to carry up the hill only for it to perpetually fall back down, yet we continue to trudge it back up. By this we mean we really like the concept of the app and enjoy it, but it crashes like every 10 minutes so Im constantly recoloring the foot of some high society woman in an old painting and cant get on with our life. Besides that we can live with watching ads every 10 minutes to get the auto fill.

Would love to love this app, but, it has a lot of issues. We use an iPad10 with fully updated software. This program freezes frequently, losing any progress we made. Now, its latest issue is it suddenly reboots our iPad losing any progress made. We dont have any problems with our iPad until we open this app, which we just did and it immediately rebooted our iPad. Will have to delete it for now until the bugs are worked out.

This would probably be fun if it didnt freeze after a few minutes. It doesnt save your work so you have to start over and over again. Needs a lot of work.

We will color part of a picture and exit out of the picture by when we go back to color all our work is lost. We have had this happen several times. We even have a couple pictures we cant even finish.

Game keeps crashing on us. We lose all progress if we dont stop and save often. Not worth a penny of our money.

We have already learned so much about colors and shading. We started with two easy paintings and just finished the Raphael Sistine Madonna. This is wonderful!!!

Im using the free version, and therefore have to watch ads to get supposedly seven minutes of the area fill. However, you only get about three minutes of the area fill. It would be great to get the full seven minutes as stated. Otherwise, the app is a lot of fun.

Pictures to color and so ptretty when they are finished.

We love this app. We dont mind watching the ads but sometimes they would freeze up the game and it would reload and lose our progress. We ended up paying for the ad removal because we were enjoying the game. But now Im out of pictures to color!! Theres a ton that say available soon but we want to play now!

This is really pretty cool! And we like the info they give you about the art.. Interesting and educational at the same time. A lot of fun that goes more quickly than a lot of color by number apps.

We do like this application and we do still waiting for more paintings.

It freezes and locks up a lot.

We love the app except it freezes constantly and we end up losing some of the coloring we’ve done, its incredibly frustrating.

UPDATE to earlier review: new paintings have stopped being created. We are on the last one and there seems tobe no new ones on the horizon. If this is the end, its a poor value. Paintings are limited, but they are adding more. As many other reviewers have said, a high percentage of the images are distorted beyond recognition once you open them, really diminishing the fun of coloring. Also as others have noted, the placement of the colors is too close to the bottom edge of screen so that if you dont swipe with exact precision, you end up swiping into another app. That said, we dont know why its so much fun to paint by numbers… It just is.

We really enjoy the relaxing activity, but when we finish a picture, the wait for another picture to be available is so annoying. Im currently on day 3 of not having a picture to color. Wish there was another app for coloring classical paintings.

We love the idea of this app. The famous paintings are fun to work on and read about. Its fun to watch them comes to life. The big con is that the app locks up and looses your progress. Last night It Locked up at least 10 times over the course of the night. Im so frustrated that we’ve been doing the same picture for 2 days.

We want to like this, and when it works it do, but the glitches are driving us crazy! It keeps freezing and losing progress, Im soooo tired of doing the same part of a painting over and over and over! Hopefully this will get better in the future.

We’ve already reached out to this app privately and we’ve had no reply, so, here we go. This is a great app, but, as a female artist, we cant give it 5 stars yet. Of the 31 artist represented on this app, There is ONE female painter (Frida Kahlo). This is appalling! Its a hot topic rn in art history classes to look at the act of leaving out female artists as a sexist action. Sexism aside, most art classes mention Georgia OKeeffe and Mary Cassatt AT LEAST! Here are a few more female artists that could fit the style of this app: Artemisia Gentileschi, Berthe Morisot, Tamara de Lempicka, and Louise lisabeth Vige lr Bryn Im sure there are also some African American painters the could find if they just looked for them. We will come back to give a 5 star review if they add more underrepresented artists.

We normally dont mined a few ads but every 5 minutes is a bit much. Some of us cant afford it.

No new paintings for weeks, canceling subscription.

We paid your exorbitant fee to get rid of the ads, and now we havent seen a new piece of art in nearly a month! We wouldnt have paid the fee if we had known. We feel ripped off.
