What Makes Apart of Me Stand Out
Apart of Me is a multi-award-winning therapeutic game. It was co-created by experts in child psychology and bereaved young people, and translates bereavement counselling techniques into a magical 3D world.
You will be transported to a beautiful, peaceful island where you will meet a variety of friendly creatures. You will be given a guide to support you along your journey. Your guide will help you to explore, accept, understand and articulate your experience of grief and the wide range of emotions connected to it.
As you progress through the game, you will discover your own strengths and wisdom. The island is a safe place where you can begin to process your grief at a pace that suits you, remember the person you have lost, and hear from others who know what it is like to lose someone you love.

Although we are older than the target audience we downloaded this app the day after our dog recieved his guardian angel wings the first time we have ever had to grieve an incredibly close loss. We will forever be grateful for this app existing. We will make sure to recommend Apart of us to anyone we feel would benefit. Ive started using the term guide in our daily life now to inspire us to be the person we want to be for ourselves and our family. It also helps us to identify the people who we see as guides. We dont think we could possibly thank the developers enough. Grief feels so much less scary whenever we visit the app. It makes us feel secure and that our grief is in good hands and we can fully trust that the we will find the content to be helpful and not harmful. Our favorite feature would probably be the guide diaries, at first we hesitated to read them but we actually think about each story every day to find comfort and solace in the parts that were relatable to our own story and to feel a sense of community. We try to remember as many details as we can every day so we feel like a good listener for someone to share their story with us because we know we would like to be treated the same way and for others to hold our story as close to their hearts as we do theirs.
We only started today but it helped us calm ourselves after being hurt emotionally it is very helpful.
Helped us through a hard time with someone we loved passing away.
We do think this is the most BEAUTIFUL game for bereaved people!!! Absolutely beautiful!!!! Just please please update it!!! Us who have lost really need it.
We love the concept we love the idea all the little elements come together and make one beautiful game that truly knows how to attack the topic of grief in a beautiful way. The fire fly emotions was a marvelous idea and the fact that we can hear other peoples perception and perspective of all their experiences is truly amazing. We adore the little tasks we adore the graphics its an amazing concept you guys in an amazing job.

We had to download the app for a class and found it to be a very helpful one. Hard to navigate at first but once we got the hang of things we got through it fairly easily. We very much enjoyed the real life stories from the cave, we also like the mindfulness simulation. This is a great app. We have a lot of students who have been affected by grief and loss. We do feel that this app is a bit advanced for 12 years olds. Otherwise it is an Awesome app that will be very helpful tool to help young folk cope with the loss of loved ones. Best Tawana Wilson.
Im not going through loss, but we use this app for our autism and anxiety. We also wanted to see if it was any good since we know someday we will probably have to cope with loss. The app is amazing, and we love it.
We think this app will help many families. Thank you for providing another platform/opportunity to help people open up about their grief. It is so important to feel absolutely what you need to feel while going through the grieving process, whether its positive emotions or negative ones. We like being able to hear other peoples stories and learning what mightve helped them during their own grieving process. Thank you for making this game.
