Player Experience Highlights

Community Insight:

This game is honestly amazing! We may consider paying for it in the future. We wish apps would be more transparent regarding paywalls. You get 10 puzzles, about 15 minutes for us, and then youre stuck.

Though we wish they listed the contact information for support without requiring the mail ap. We got the 6th puzzle of echos of extinction stuck by doing each side on the wrong sides so now it wont let us shift it over to the correct way. Ooops. Also, sometimes the pieces fit but disconnect.

This game is so adorable and theres different difficulty levels to pick from. We love the artwork and the detailed description of each species. We also enjoy that you can change the app icon and have a widget that shuffles puzzles youve unlocked. The developer was quick to get back to us about some questions as well! We highly recommend this game.

Educational, relaxing, no ads feels like a interactive museum :).

We overall enjoyed our experience playing art of fauna. The soundtracks are good, the stages are good and we enjoyed the information texts on the back after you finish the puzzle illustration. It reminds us of one of our favorite things we used to do when we were younger was go through those animal information cards/flash cards. It gives off a similar energy plus being a puzzle. The sounds when you move puzzle pieces was fun. We like how you can go back and read them too in the index after you finish them it stills stays as an option. We were originally going to rate it a three star because we realized we could only get ten free then the rest we had to pay and we didnt realize. But we went back and it says we would so we missed it and thats our fault we think the developer is also a solo developer (we think?) so its very nice for all of it honestly. Im not currently buying the extension of more puzzles but we would consider it in the future. Its overall an enjoyable niche-y game if thats what youre into so good job and we recommend if youre into what we said above.

Depending on our mood, we want a puzzle easy or difficult. You can change the difficulty AND it saves our progress for each type of difficulty. If one is a bit tricky, you can flip and assemble by letters (description). Also, flipping keeps the pieces in place, so its not like youre looking into a mirror reflection. Very nice.

This is such a delight, and we love that our daughter and we can play it together. She really enjoys it. Its accessible and beautiful in every nook and cranny.

We absolutely adore this game! Its one of the rare few games in which levels are actually replay-able and theres constant high quality updates too. We love the puzzles of the month and adore hearing their backstories in the newsletter. We really appreciate that part of the profits go towards animal conservation and that you can change the app icon to a bunch of amazing illustrations. Our favorite way to relax is to put on a podcast and play a level or two in the evening (it feels much better than doom scrolling) Highly recommend.

We love these puzzles. We have VoiceOver on our phone so we do the puzzles using sentences. We have talked a few friends into playing them as well. We recommend these puzzles on this app highly.

Why you have to pay thats stupid.

Gorgeous art with very fun puzzles.

Pure joy and fun, eased our mind whilst providing intriguing descriptions.

Love it. Wish it had more free puzzles.

Very educational and fun!! We love nature so much and this is awesome.

Love the app. Love the new update (thanks for the behind-the-scenes e-mail blast). Its just a relaxing and beautiful experience, especially on iPad.

Beautiful and so well done, we are learning so much! Thank you for creating this app.

We absolutely love learning about Fauna while solving the puzzles.

Great sound and vital info about amazing creatures nearing extinction. Look forward to more puzzles.

Ill pay for this game when they name the illustrator for each painting (or attempt to..) we want to look up the artists.

Its a shame that such a visually beautiful and educational iPhone app lacks a version designed for the iPad that can be enjoyed in landscape mode.

We love this app. The pictures are beautiful, and we really enjoy the descriptions on the back of each puzzle. The mechanics of moving the pieces gets more frustrating as the pieces get smaller. It would be nice to be able to move the pieces around without simultaneously moving the other pieces. But thats a personal preference. Looks like the app is doing just fine as is. Keep up the good work.

Remember us an old book in our chilhood, splendid.

The puzzles are fun to play, and the game is fully accessible to voiceover users.

We like that you can remove photos of spiders, insects or whatever group of animals that give you the ick. We can enjoy animal puzzles without the fear of anything disgusting or disturbing popping up.

The puzzles are good fun to solve, on top of learning about all the animals, on top of the great artwork. Its such a good game/app. Devs if youre reading this please make an Art of Flora and an Art of Gea we need more of this game.

What an absolute delight! We love learning about the animals, the puzzles are perfectly challenging, the music is beautiful and the entire experience is so relaxing and stress-relieving. We've been telling every friend we can about this. We unfortunately finished all the puzzles but then a few days later they had new ones! Thank you! Keep em coming! Our only wish is that it was for Android too; our friends with those devices were disappointed they couldn't play.

Incredibly relaxing and beautifully made. Great for adults and kids.

This app is beautiful to look at, very relaxing, and fun. We look forward to the new puzzles each month as a member :).

We love this app so much, not only is it relaxing and we love animals and wildlife, but its also educational, Ive learned some things that we didnt know about certain animals.

Insightful and informative while keeping your interest, if you love puzzles and wildlifeyoull love this game.

The Art of Fauna ~ what an absolutely wonderful / beautiful application! We found it only because it was mentioned in a newsletter as the WINNER of an Apple Design Award for Inclusitivity. We are not a gamer but do enjoy a thought provoking challenge periodically. The Art of Fauna exceeds that description! Artwork, application design, fauna write-ups, background calming sounds, ALL aspects are a winner! It is also very clear to us that the author strives for perfection with nothing left to chance. As a past Info Technology professional, we love seeing this kind of quality and obvious pride in ones work, as its a rarity these days. If you need support, a response is immediate and thoughtful. Give this app a go.

We love this game. And Im getting to do our part with a new app icon coming soon. Thank you art of fauna. This game will hopefully capture the essence of wildlife with a retro realism style like no other game. Dont forget to find all the Easter eggs.

Such a relaxing app and very aesthetically pleasing experience.

We didnt know what we were getting into at first but learned quickly and thoroughly enjoyed. Your work on this really showed it is beautiful, instructive calming and a great way to learn. Thank you.

Outstanding music by moving the pieces into shows of action and matching the picture perfect natural beauty of nature with birds, butterflies, woodland creatures and other species in art! Very positive environmentally sustainable design by puzzles and music tones aspect ! Gorgeous art work! Spectacular art work! Loved it.

We haven't paid for the full version… Yet. But we wanted to write a review (which we never do) after playing the free version, which was a great impression within just 10 puzzles! We needed something to distract our mind for a bit and this was very peaceful. Everything about this app is very creative and beautiful; we hope it gains much more traction! To the developer, we commend your hard work and honesty. Your replies to reviews here are very personal, like a human is behind the app and not a robot, which is rare to see. Please don't let go of that when this app is sure to blow up! Thank you.

Im really enjoying your game! Good job on this creativity! The game is soothing, knowledgeable, and challenging. Not only do we get to hear beautiful nature sounds, but also a gentle sound to acknowledge our success in putting pieces together.

Our son and we love this app. Addictive and beautiful.

The art is amazing. Vintage animal art has always been our favorite art style for animals; and this app is just full of great art. Also we love how 20% of proceeds go to help animals. The puzzles themselves are really fun and relaxing. We love this :3.

What a lovely, relaxing game. Beautiful artwork and you learn something about animals at the same time.

You can only pay 10 puzzles no more, later it needs a payment.

Incredible implementation of a really good idea! Well done.

Thank you for amazing experience.

The sounds are addicting and the info is great if you like facts and like to see interesting animals this is for you.

Artwork: beautiful. Concept: engaging. Flaws in accessibility onboarding may prevent users from engaging fully with appropriate content.

An absolutely delightful little puzzle game with virtually no flaws. If youre on the fence, give it a download – the first 10 puzzles are free and give you an idea of the gameplay loop. Things we love about this game: beautiful fauna art interesting lil animal blurbs impeccable atmosphere and sound design clean and intuitive UI * the knowledge that your money is going to an independent dev and nature preservation organizations (and a decent chunk to Apple but thats non-negotiable ).

Very useful app that has a lot of useful information for learning about the world of fauna.

We love this game because it is the only game Ive seen that has accessible fonts and cool puzzles. And has no ads so we think you should get this game.

Only played a bit, but we like the way it plays. Its a puzzle game, but more accessible. Pretty good game.

Our son and we are huge puzzle fans. Hes particularly interested in animals and their scientific names. We both enjoy the challenge of solving puzzles and the stunning photos they produce. We highly recommend this app for a fun and educational experience.
