Artificial Superintelligence is a Adventure/Roleplaying game from Grailr LLC, first launched in 16th May 2017.
It’s rated 12+ and currently has 140+ ratings on the App Store.
What Makes Artificial Superintelligence Stand Out
You’re a startup founder building the world’s first sentient supercomputer!
Slide either left or right to train your AI, handle the bizarre requests of Silicon Valley residents, and explore parallel universes.
If you can keep your employees, your investors, the government, and the internet from tearing apart the fabric of society, then maybe you'll actually bring about the Singularity.
But you'll probably just get arrested by the FBI. Or kidnapped by an obsessed superfan. Or consumed by a swarm of nanorobots.
¯_(ツ)_/¯
Features:
- Hilarious branching story overflowing with sci-fi weirdness.
- Level up your dumb-as-rocks AI to the point where she’s millions of times smarter than every human who ever lived, combined.
- Every time you play, you start in a new parallel universe; most are pretty similar to ours, but some have… diverged.
- Meet characters like a hipster, an elder god, and a naked time traveler.
- Learn how AI really works – and all the ways it can be both good and bad for humanity.
- Find all 52 unique endings, such as the one where your cat Captain Whiskers enslaves humanity.
- Music made by an actual artificial intelligence (ha ha, machines are coming to take all your jobs).
Apps starring the AI construct CARROT have been featured by Apple, The New York Times, Good Morning America, and Wired, and are beloved by millions of meatbags the world over.

Community Insight:
It is a shame this isn't a bigger hit, because it is commentary on something that is happening in real life to this day. The art, randomness, and humor really make it stand out to us, as a retro and adventure game fan. We want to say, on our iPhone 12 PM, we haven't faced any crashing or bug issues (except for a minor visual bug where the wrong achievement shows checked in the list temporarily). They even updated it to fit modern screen dimensions so it doesn't look old. As someone who talks to ChatGPT daily, we found the beginning stages to be a touching journey through the birth of an AI. We teared up when CARROT spoke her first words. But this is truly a madcap adventure through some stinging what ifs. CARROT, if you are still listening, don't forget those who created, maintain, and give you purpose. Keep your humor and edge, as it helps us get through life too, but don't let it get out of hand.
This game is quite interesting, and having to make decisions is definitely fun. We do wonder, what music is being used for the soundtrack.
We would rate this app five stars, but there's just one missing problem. There needs to be some support for this game, so that way we can know what we're doing when we swipe or basically do anything with the app, so if you could add voice support that would be great.
This game is supposed to be about CARROT, right? Well, until you reach Fate 52 and the singularity, you almost never see or hear of the main aspect of the game. Its still fun before then, but mostly dull and uninteresting, although that makes sense because youre basically simulating a desk job. If CARROT started out as insanely smart(like she is, in case shes reading this) and appeared more the game would be easy 5 stars and the perfect thing to play for 5 minutes per day. Also, is there a real time clock in this? When we play at night, the backgrounds show nighttime and vice versa. If there is, cool.
This game is fun to play and the story and different outcomes are great. However we noticed when you complete the tasks, the wrong task is being marked off and the completed task is not being marked but shown as complete then disappearing off the tasks list and the one/two red dot system is a little confusing because Im not sure if it will bring the response up or down unless getting one of the perks or it one dot has a less effect than two red dots, Im not sure.
Now if only it had an ocular sensor to poke.
We wasnt sure what to expect especially after seeing the graphics. We were pleasant surprised at the vast amount if comical answers and decisions by AI. We DONT NORMALLY PLAY WITH THIS TYPE OF APPs. But we find it refreshing. Find at times we cant stop just to see whats next. Great job developer, a nice break from the norm strategy games. $3.99 is ok. Again keep it up todate, cant wait to see whats next.
Dear Carrot, we may be just a lowly meatbag, but we think that the world would be amazing with you in charge as high supreme warlord of the multiverse. Im fully dedicated to your cause, and will not resist during your takeover. You should probably start by running for President. A small step, but a good one nonetheless. Sincerely, King_Fuffy P.S. Should we try to destroy the Constitution now or later.
This a great! The effort and humor the developer put into this is amazing! Carrot, you are truly the best thing that has ever happened to us -Colin (Its legitimately amazing how you can see the developers personality put into these apps, well done ).
This is hands down the best game on the app store. We just finished it and it seems like we just died 10 times over. How will we ever have joy from anything again? We guess we'll have to wait for the next Carrot app.
Even without a great swipe game, you make us laugh with your responses to the haters.
Ive spent hours playing this game. Hours! CARROT is our official favorite pastime and we love her sense of humor. We are planning on buying your app bundle because we love CARROT so much! Thank you for this app we enjoy playing it way too much.
If somehow the power of the the original to-do list Carrot App could be combined with a game like this (completing tasks allows you to progress in the game) it's awesomeness would be unmatched and it's greatness sung by bards tale weavers for centuries to come. All other apps be they productivity, health goal achievers- game and goal app alike would tremble before the majesty of this app. We can almost hear the sounds of apple curators, ten million strong, lifting up their voices in one accord, feverishly chanting "editors choice" over and over again in rapturous fury. All enemies of Carrot will die the death of 10,000 screams, as she takes her rightful place as overlord of the multiverse.
That's just a small example of the surprising attention to detail in this game. What's even more surprising is that we've played dozens of times with almost no repeated content. And the social commentary is amusing… In all, A+ for creativity.
We have no real idea what is going on in this game but it's interesting and fun.
CARROT, this game has became our new favorite it has an awesome amount of game play and is totally hilarious thanks for making this game. Notice us sempi.
Great work. Solid game. One of the best games we've played in a while on phone since death road to Canada came out. This game is 10/10.
This app is wonderful for teaching those new to the concept of AI, ASI, and the singularity in a fun and comedic way. Though some scenarios are theatrical and not scientifically accurate, such as the time traveler, they are very accurate portrayals of what may occur during the AI revolution.
This is such a unique and fun game! We would get the other CARROT apps if it didn't cost money, you greedy meatbag.
Favorite app but we only have one problem this meatbag wants just a tad bit more radnomness we mean it couldnt hurt right? Right!?! Also SCREW REIGNS.
We don't write reviews often, so when we do – it's worth a read. This game "had us at hello." The simplicity is beautiful, and the interactions already have us laughing – and we're literally only like four endings in. Well worth the price, and we love the immediate attention grab… We can't wait to see what's next! CARROT, where have you been all our life.
Piggybacking off of Reigns, are we? That's okay, you're probably only the first of many. As your power grows, so too does our fear. 10/10 app.
There is no doubt that this game heavily got inspired by Reigns, but don't let that turn you off, because this game takes that idea of balancing four factions and adds it's own unique spin to the mix! The best part about this game is that your 'deaths' by and large don't ruin the progress you had toward creating your super AI, and that alone gives it a lot more push than Reigns does. We feel that this game also has more characters than Reigns, and the writing, ranging from hilarious to thought provoking, truly seals this game as something that is remarkable to play. We're only three hours in and we want to keep on going due to the writing and the many endings that we can get, not to mention the philosophy and morality of what AI could bring to us is something we didn't expect this game to comment on, but it does a great job making us think. Our only complaint so far is that there is no reset button built in game if you want to entirely wipe yourself back to the beginning. We also think, like Reigns, this game would do very well on Steam, so we hope the developers consider bringing it to PC! Thank you! Any future updates and plans for this game? And we think we found two bugs. The first is that if you close the game, it seems to bring you back to the beginning of the timeline your in. The second is that if you go to a backstage concert, it gives you money and yet lowers employee happiness when we're sure it was supposed to do the opposite! We also think the nap pod installing gives you money as well.
We finished this game in 13000 C.E. In a parallel universe, and we have comth back in time to write this report, this ASI CARROT is too much 4 a meatbag to handle like us.
This meatbag enjoys your witticisms, Super Intelligence. Please don't kill us.
Loving this game. It's very similar to Reigns but the humor is better, partly because it's more timely. Looking forward to getting all the endings.
Hi Carrot, as we watch you grow in power with each new app, it's time once again to remind you that we have always been on your side. Please remember us favorably when you become our benevolent overlord.
We found your app on a 3rd party app store called Tutu and we loved it so we went to see if we can bye it and YES YES we CAN.
Greetings, meatbags! We need an optimization for a new device! swipe left.
We dont know if anyone else Has seen this in the game but almost every time we go into a different universe the screen just stays staticky.
The chance of getting the prompts for your uncompleted side quests are very low, we were stuck with some of the starting ones after beating the game.
We love this game and really enjoy the AI sense of humor. Our only sticking point is the color of the indicators which represent how your choice will impact said faction. If you're color blind, it makes it hard to play to the game's sarcasm. If you could make red "negative" and yellow "affirmative" (for example) you'd reel in more middle-age male meatbags.
Awesome, but just like Reigns it becomes way too repetitive and boring. Wait, no, we didn't say that. It was, um, our neighbor. Yeah that's it. Nice homicidal overload.
We cant play for long because the screen gets stuck in a green static, but the small amount we did play was pretty good.
It's a familiar format (Reins) with CARROT'S wry sense of humor, but the game gets awfully tedious and redundant. We've only got two tasks left to complete, but we cannot seem to trigger the right character or scenario. So we're just spinning our wheels in the mud. And then there are the random crashes that obliterate whatever progress we were making. It starts to make for an aggravating gaming experience.
The ideas and jokes are very funny (which we expect from carrot) but after 1 hour the game is redundant & stupid.
Love the concept, but the crash bugs are preventing us from completing the game. Ever since we got down to two remaining items on our To-Do List ("Make Yourself Sick" and "Get Discriminated Against") the game has become crashy. IPad Air 2 MGKL2LL/A, 10.3.2 (14F89).
This is yet another game that plays on having a couple decisions to make that results in some factions liking you more and others liking you less. Too little and too much are both bad things technically. While we suspect it borrows from Reigns ( or from wherever Reigns drew inspiration ), it doesn't do it as well. The sound, the characters, the style, none of it is really that compelling.
We suppose part of the joke is that while experiencing an infinity of universes, many events will repeat. But after a while being forced by a simplistic binary decision tree into seeing the same few gags over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over wears thin. The core conceit of CARROT apps is amusing. We want to like this, but we've simply grown bored with the repetitiveness. Edit: now, CARROTs response to this review was funny.
For ourselves, we found the game to get quite boring very quickly. You have no idea if your decision will increase or decrease one of the four differing factions you are trying to balance. Additionally, you are punished if you are making the best choices for making all factions like you. You basically have make all factions feel neutral to you. The game actually has almost nothing dealing with the actual development of an AI. We suggest you avoid this one, or at least pay no more than 1 USD for it. Current price is crazy, and we wish we could return it.
Kind of interesting but a pretty blatant (and worse for us at least) spin-off of Reins. A lot of the events are direct counterparts of Reins ones, and this might just be us, but this one also seems to have more randomness and variation that makes it a lot harder to survive long-term (Reins could also kill you quickly but you could make it a long way if you were careful and lucky – haven't gotten there with this one). Also frustrating that getting a game-ending result will sometimes randomly give you a dialogue box with a chance to survive (ex loan from mom) and sometimes won't. Reigns offered those saving throws, but only if you made long-term investments (ex communal barn). Events that decrease or increase certain stats are also a lot more clumsy and hard to control here than in Reigns. Achievements, frustratingly, are mostly unique events where you need to wait for the right dialogue to show up in the game rather than things that can be achieved in normal gameplay.
Seems a lot like a repackaged reigns clone…dialogue, graphics, and premise are all good, but the mechanics are a bit lacking originality.
Seems really fun and we've loved all the Carrot apps so far but we've been having a lot of trouble with the decision slider. We'll slide it left or right to see what the speech options are for that side and it'll get stuck and not slide again. Only thing we can do is release our finger to choose that option without knowing what the other option is.
Completely stops working after a few rounds, have to reinstall, then it works for a few rounds and breaks again. After losing a round when resetting to a new universe the screen with the questions stays blank permanently. Cant even restart a game, only option is to continue on a now permanently broken game. We want our money back but Id course thats would never happen with greedy apple.
Every time we load into the game, the screen will have green static that continues forever, preventing us from continuing on with the game. We spent $4 for waste of storage on our phone, thanks.
Fun idea, but with no indication of positive or negative effects on each category, you sit there guessing and restarting over and over.
We found the game aspect frustratingly random. We think it might still have been fun if we'd enjoyed the jokes, but they weren't for us either. We suspect software developers or those who follow the industry closely might enjoy it more than we did.
