Ironically, if they bothered to activate their ad base for this game – just plug it into regular streaming ads that want to pay you for the slot- the game would work better! Or if you snipped out that whole ad part ;) We fans of Astrix and Obelix would be elated to spend time building these stories in this game! Give it a thought.
We played this years ago on Facebook, and this is pretty much the same. But this one has the loading screen trouble, which we usually see when it gets into an endless loop of the Refresh button that has no feedback until it goes to the title screen, freezes for a while, starts the game then puts up Refresh again. All while Im sitting at the same place on our home Wi-Fi that is working fine. Also has a left arrow button on the iPad screen thats nearly offscreen, and holding on a villager in the equipment screen to see when they will heal up causes the info to stay onscreen until you can find a road sign for the game to show instead. Sorry, but nostalgia and the cuteness isnt enough when some of these issues have been complained about for years.
Good game but has lots of glitches.
We grew up reading these book as a kid so we loved this game from the get go but it seems that with every single update this game gets worse. This update just loads the game to a frozen screw and nothing else.
Always freezes for us right after we hit level 2 and have to clean the debris to start building homes. We cant click anywhere else on the screen without it telling us to click the debris. When we click the debris NOTHING HAPPENS. Ive tried restarting the game, deleting and re-installing, even updating our phoneNOTHING HELPED. Its virtually impossible to progress and we got a good 5 minutes in. Thank god we didnt pay anything for this.
We grew up with Asterix and Obelix. We were happy to see the game. It could be fun to play, but sadly it is not. We have played the game for more than a year, so we know what we're talking about. The game crashes constantly. One year ago, the company said the crashes would be resolved by moving to the unity platform. That did not happen. In fact, the crashes are worse than ever. When we start the game fresh and tap to go to the race, the game usually crashes three times in a row. We emailed support. Their answer was not to have multiple apps open at the same time and not to stream videos at the same time. We were not doing any of those. We are wa at a have only one app open. You can spend lots of money on the game to buy helmets (which is almost necessary to be successful), but it is not worth it. The constant crashes take away all the fun. Also, the chat and trade functions do not work. They were supposed to be fixed, but they are not. So in summary…this game is not worth getting attached to.
It wants to refresh too often and comes back to a blank white screen with all the game icons. Only way to get back to the game is to get out of the game and start all over. Minor irritation but overall good.
Ever since the updates we cant even get the game to load anymore. We updated the latest this morning, and it still wont load. The little blue bar goes over a few millimeters, then just stops. Very frustrating. Also, whats with the sponsorship sign covering half of Obelixs face? Who wants to see that. Im scared to see what our village looks like now if we ever do get to play again. We dont think the developers have a clear understanding of the word remastered because this game certainly isnt. Or at least not in a good way. Which is a shame because it was a fun game to play with beloved characters from our childhood.
We have been a huge fan of the comics since we were a kid and we actually had to wait for the next one to come out. We played the PS2 game, Ive seen the movies, and we love love love them. This game crashes so much and so hard constantly. Its impossible we are so sad.

At first this game was ok, but now the ads run up to 45 seconds, and the newer ones just take you to the App Store at the end, you never get the credit for watching. Ill be uninstalling the game now.
In the beginning the game is fun. Crafting different this is a lot of fun. But drop rates of resources is extremely LOW. The constant Roman legion spawning is very annoying, takes away from the fun of crafting. This is another game that is fun if you are willing to spend a lot of money, for the rest, it is very slow going and tedious.

Game crashes every few minutes or so, and will even crash while loading. Game also asks to rate it every time we attack a Roman Legion, which is quite annoying.
This is a great game, but we only recommend it for asterix fans m, bc there are probably better civilization building games, but Im an asterix fan so we like this one.
We love Asterix. We have all the books and board games. We read through the book collection entirely at least once a year. We do like this Game App, even though its getting very expensive! Occasionally… Likely because of new owners and programmers, there are glitches or lockups but overall we give it a 5.

This is a fun game, but it needs more places to visit than just Egypt. Should include Iberia, Germania, Rome, and other places mentioned in the comics. It also crashes way too often.

It is an absolute must have for any Asterix fan. We just wish it existed in french. Some improvements are needed because it crashes a lot but still… We just love it.
Love this game. Unfortunately it just doesnt work right. There are many potions and raw materials to make things. These all go into your storage pouch. Or maybe they dont. Or maybe they go in but never come out so your storage is full of potions that cannot be used and items of no use at all. In the meantime food is constantly in short supply but you can always BUY more… For real money of course. We wish this game worked. That being said we have found no way to progress with so many of its moving parts jammed up.
This game is very cool but it has 1 problem: its to hard to find food. The rest is perfect.
First…we have been a fan of the Asterix graphic novel series since our preadolescence and was very excited to see a new game based on the characters and concept. Second…after downloading this two days ago we have yet to get past building our first shelter. Why? The game will NOT do anything after tapping the red arrow or anything else, actually. The arrow acts like it has been pressed, but nothing happens. Yes, we even downloaded the latest update. If you can fix this so we can play the star rating may increase…but until then.
What is this, a 2008 Facebook game? It sure feels like it, with the multiple crashes, improper English grammar, and boring gameplay. Skip this game. Not worth the time it wastes.

First of all we want to say this game is really fun and we love the books but there is two things wrong with it. One is that it is really, really hard to get food. Two, it takes SOOOO much food to do anything in this game but actually GET food. Also, we dont like how the fighting works, its just a cloud of dust, the fun thing about the fighting in the comics is that you can see the romans getting bashed! Anyway just fix the food problem and we could give this all the stars it wants. Im actually thinking about paying real money on this but we need to keep reminding ourselves about all these problems. Ill probably delete this soon.
We came for the graphics and stayed because its fun to slowly build up a village. We like to check once or twice a day to keep things rolling, unless Im making a big push toward an achievement.

The game mechanics are a really common resource gathering platform with some combat and PVP battles thrown in. As such, things can get repetitive. The rich illustrations and humor keep things fun as you level up and keep those pesky Romans at bay.
We loved these comics as a kid. We were thrilled to see the game on iOS. The game is good, overall, faithful to the original text themes, but the only issue is the energy for the characters goes really fast, and if you've already used all of your helmets for food in the market, hunted, fished and farmed, and there just isn't enough food for you and your villagers, you close the game Nd come back tomorrow, when the food stockpile hits again. There's no ads frequently for earning more food, so that option is out. Do we keep playing? Yes, but we find this situation irritating. We wish it would get fixed, as it's a serious design flaw, imo Update…the game is stuck in some weird way and players keep losing their weapons, their resources…our whole guild is talking about quitting. Apparently the creators of the game don't really care about the players. Figure we are all expendable and they can get more.
There are some characters missing like vitalstatixis cacofonix and unhygienix.
Clutch so bad specially when you start the app over all great game just need to be fixed.
This game could be great but…… You need food for most everything and it is one of the hardest things to get. When you attack the romans your guys always lose the same amount of hit points, whether you are attacking the weakest opponents or the toughest. In Alexandria the well doesn't give you water it gives you sand! The romans always come back, talk about an exercise in futility!! If they would update the game more regularly and make it more playable they would have a great game. Here's to hoping.
When you get to a certain level the food (energy) fills up pretty quickly and you can play multiple times a day. The trade channel is fun. Hopefully they keep expanding the adventure, and they need to work on the guild capabilities. Good work guys.
We were playing on fb for couple of years & now it on iOS so we can play even more. No complains. The game is great.
We enjoyed a lot of games, and this one is a must game, never have we payed for f2p game and this will be the first, thanks for this awesome game Bandai.
Compared to most resource management games, this game is ok but not particularly well balanced or thought out. Kind of fun at first but lack of certain items that are not supposed to be rare like coal make certain parts of the game like quests and swords less used. For fans of the Asterix comic, this game has a lot of fun references and maintains the fun feel of the characters.

Our favorite toons when we were a child Astrix and friends were our heaven and now we find them in the kind of game we were looking for since a while ,wow .. Still imo u need to add more humor to the game .. Still ty. Love it ,great game.
We grew up watching the Asterix movies and this game makes us nostalgic. Lots of fun and entertaining. Wish some of the in game items were not so expensive, but overall a fun game.
