A Glimpse into Astra Jigsaw HD
Astra Jigsaw HD is a challenging jigsaw puzzle game including lots of jigsaws.
For each puzzle you can choose seven different styles of pieces and smoothly change the number of pieces from 50 to 900. In the most intricate style named Figure the pieces are shaped as animals, birds, fruits, toys, and other objects.
To make a puzzle easier to play, add the picture frame. To make a puzzle more challenging, turn on rotation of pieces.
To manage a vast number of pieces, you can use two playing windows. Use one window to make up a jigsaw and the other one to arrange or store pieces that you need not at the moment.
Select a group of pieces to move or neatly arrange them at once. To examine small pieces, use the Magnifying Glass.
You can save an incomplete jigsaw and later restore it. Up to nine puzzles in work can be saved simultaneously.
In addition to one thousand ready-to-use jigsaws, a jigsaw making feature is available. You can create your own puzzles from the images stored in the local iPhoto gallery. Or you can use the built-in search in the world largest image store Flickr. The maker is unlocked after purchasing four jigsaw collections.
Ambient sounds of ocean waves, chirping birds or singing crickets will make the playing more relaxing.

This is the best puzzles ever. But we need new puzzles. We keep watching for some new ones. Please add several more categories of puzzles.
A puzzler’s dream! Every wish has been elegantly conceived: Six different piece shapes … Slider bar to change size and number of pieces … Magnifying glass to work in minute areas … Two screens ("boards") so you can spread out pieces and work on small groups, but still move pIeces easily between the two … Plus plenty more details that "just work." Simply the best thought-out app you’ll find. And how can you lose? The basic program, with a starter-set of pictures, is FREE! If you tire of those, choose from a stunning variety of well-stocked picture packs. IMHO, these are worth every penny of their slightly higher than average price: each pack is chock full of pictures, but you’re really supporting future development of this delightful app. In all our years, no other app — whether fantastic, or dreadful — has prompted us to write a review. This is THAT good.
Great jigsaw puzzle app. Great for all ages and all experience levels. Pieces are sizable, multi shaped for your choice,and easy to move into place. The assembly desktop has many colors and textures to choose from which makes assembly easy on the eyes. The game has many configurable options as well. We highly recommend this app.
Your update screwed up our ability to do your puzzles. We get thrown out immediately!!!! Very frustrating. And we want restitution for puzzles purchased,also. Absolutely love to work your puzzles. Please fix ASAP.
The most classic game out there is still the best. The puzzles are beautiful and addicting. There are plenty for free, but at a mere 4 cents per puzzle, the collections are well worth purchasing, and there are no "in app purchase" demands as in most other – and overpriced – games. Each puzzle can be customized for desired skill level and the time you wish to spend on it. They can be made quick and easy for children, or seriously challenging for the puzzle fanatic. Best of all, once you acquire a collection, you can play anytime and anywhere. No WiFi required. We love to put together the puzzles on planes. We just purchased our fifth collection, and plan to get them all eventually.
We have tried every free jigsaw app for our iPad, and this is by far the best. It’s the most realistic jigsaw game, genuinely resembling the real thing! We love, among other things: the quality of the graphics, the option of different types and numbers of pieces which makes it interesting even to re-work previously done puzzles, that the pieces are available without having to pull them into the playing area, that the pieces are always true to size rather than starting out smaller or distorted, the "flip" function which lets us work on two screens at a time so we can choose a larger number of pieces and get some out of the way, the help screen which is clear and offers a number of options and tools to make playing more enjoyable. We would give it five stars if there were more free puzzles, as we have a rule against buying apps, and we’ve done the free ones so many times that we’re now playing games we don’t even like! We never write reviews, but we sincerely hope to encourage jigsaw lovers to try this game.
I’d give five stars if the collections for purchase had an Americana choice and if the pieces were a tad more sensitive– but the features are top notch and we’re hopelessly addicted.

This is our favorite puzzle game. It never gets old.
It is addictive. By changing the shapes and number of puzzle pieces, you can make it as challenging as you want. After doing the free set, we bought a set and we have not been disappointed… Lots of puzzles in the set with great variation in themes. We were not able to do the puzzles when the puzzle pieces could be turned… Tapping did not always result in turning the piece or it went two or three turns… Too hard to control. But aside from that it is a great ap!
This is a great app with tremendous flexibility. You can set your playing level from relaxing to extremely challenging by selecting the number of pieces, the shapes, and whether or not they are in the same rotation as they will set in the puzzle. We love the ability to have the pieces in animal shapes. The puzzle collections are reasonably priced (try to buy 100 jigsaws at a game shop for $4) and of generally excellent quality. And the way the pieces snap together is very satisfying. With the retina display in the new iPad, it’s even better.

We’ve tried a few puzzle apps before, but this one definitely turned to be the BEST! We love that you have control over your puzzles and their difficulty. The extra albums are cheap for potentially hundreds of puzzles, all from one album purchase! Also, we have had this app for about a year, it never gets old, and recently, the free album pictures changed, giving different options for those who didn’t want to purchase an album! We can’t stop saying good things about this app! We love puzzles and this app is PERFECT for puzzle lovers. :)
We love this app to death. Only potential problem is that we are ignoring our bf and our arm has gone numb from the position we lay in playing this app.

This is a wonderful game and is the best one we have found that acts just like a real jigsaw puzzle. It’s so customizable, and even has relaxing music. The pictures are beautiful and well worth the money.

Not only is this the most enjoyable game type app, our 6 year old granddaughter love sit too. She was able to learn how to work a jigsaw puzzle and then increase the level of difficulty. There are few games Ican enjoy with our grandkids. Love having the second screen.
Feature rich puzzle app. We really like the option to have interestingly shaped pieces. They have just added the ability to hide puzzle you don’t want to see and we are really happy about that.
Fantastic app if you love jigsaw puzzles. Very relaxing. Great quality ambient sounds to chose from! Very customizable. Excellent! We would ask the maker to maybe make the magnifier stronger since we like to make the puzzle 300 pieces. The free puzzles are beautiful and we will certainly buy the ones for sale, so many to choose from… Best part is the sound of the pieces snapping together. It’s gotten totally Pavlovian with us and that ever so slightly magnetic snap! Love it, a lot of work went into this we are sure, Bravo! BTW the India collection is astoundingly beautiful. We think its great price 4 bucks for so many extra puzzles.

This is by far the best jigsaw game out there. We would like to see more puzzle packs available. We’ve tried a number of other games and none compare.
Absolutely love this app. Just like working a real puzzle, but you don’t have to find an empty table, worry about losing a piece, or try to figure out what to do with it when you finish. Great fun!!!
Easy yet difficult – never boring – lots of puzzles to choose from.
This is a great puzzle app. We find it to be most like working a real puzzle, except we can’t lose the pieces. Also, our cats won’t knock the pieces onto the floor for the dog to eat. We have purchased 2 collections so we better get busy.
Our only reservation is the price of the puzzle packs. We would buy them all at a fair price.
Fun but we bought two collections so we could use our own pics and it still won’t let us.
We really enjoy this app, almost like playing jigsaw in the floor. Love the levels of difficulty, its fun for us And to our 2 1/2 y.o. Daughter. However we find $4 too much for 100 pictures. Its ok to pay a dollar, but $4??? These guys really want to get rich…
App is ok, with good features, but only a few puzzles.
Ok. You buy a collection. Work all the Puzzles. Buy several more. Work those. When you try to go back and rework the first collection, it indicates that it hasn’t been purchased and says to buy again. We don’t think so. Don’t need THIS app for sure.
This is also our most used app!! The only issue we have is it’s too easy to save a duplicate game over an existing game by accident… Other than that, luv luv luv this app!!

We have used and enjoyed Len’as jigsaw games on our desktop for several years. We are thrilled to find an app for this that is just as enjoyable as what we have played and played and played. We love this app and play it regularly. A few things differentiate it from the pack. Love that the puzzles are complex, if you cut them up into a high number of pieces. Too many other puzzle apps have simple scenes or large pieces. Love the two screen area for sorting pieces and building puzzles – so easy to use! This app is for adults (yeah!), while most are for kids. And, you don’t have to mess with turning the puzzle pieces around, which can be too much trouble – they are already oriented the right direction. Please keep adding more ART puzzles – they are our favorite.
