Find out what gamers are saying about ATOMIK: RunGunJumpGun:

This is a fantastic challenging game. We ask the devs to consider just one thing. Option to switch left and right tap controls. Some might might prefer the controls switched. We do. Our right thumb would be better at maintaining the continuous tapping that would be required to fly while maintaining specific lift height. Our left thumb doesn’t have the stamina and loses control. Just a suggestion. BTW The review claiming the game doesn’t auto rotate is strange. The screen rotates just fine on our ipad and iPhone. It always flips immediately without lag every time.

We almost didnt even buy this game. We were very wrong to second guess myself. Restarts very quickly after you die. You learn from your mistakes and quickly see how the level can be beat. To be fair, most of the game we had fewer than 10 deaths per level. It jumped up in the second section to fewer than 20. In the final 25 levels, we averaged around 50, and even hit over 200 deaths on level 30 of the final section (each section has 41 levels). It gets really tough, but practice makes perfect. It makes it incredibly satisfying to beat. We probably wont go back and play marathon mode, but it was easily worth the price.

Great game! We play it on our Apple Tv using the xbox one controller and its beautiful and smooth. Tough like Super meat boy. Great art, characters, and music like hot line Miami. For 3 dollars we could not be happier, hope to see more like this in the future!

Its very laggy and the corner buttons are cut off as if our screen doesnt fit the whole game and its really inconvenient when trying to pause or restart. IPhone 13 iOS 15.1.1.

The game lags. BAD. The slowdown just…. Makes it almost impossible to play. We hope it can be optimized, though, considering how long its been out now, Im not holding our breath. We do regret our purchase.

Dont waste your time and your money with this game.

The screen is locked and does not autorotate. There does not appear to be any setting to flip it around. So rather than the iPhone X notch being on the left side of the screen, behind your character, it is on the right side, in front of your character. This also results in the game playing upside down if you use an iPad sitting propped up by a Smart Cover. The game seems pretty awesome, but lack of autorotate is a deal breaker.

The game fails to load and crashes every time.

Top notch gameplay. Super fun. Very challenging. Suggestion: Give some option to disable character chat after you’ve seen it once. Add a restart button so you can restart at will. If you are at the end of a level set and want to restart but can’t die then it needs to load the next level set and then go back in.

Would it be okay to make an account on this game to save all your saved data? Its for people who get new phones and they dont want to start all over again.

It took us a while to get hooked, but once we did it was hard to stop playing. Levels are short and the difficulty was just right; hard, but not so bad as to make you stop playing.

Great game but after the newest update it won’t open. It crashes when we try, please fix.

Great game. For the price, you get a lot of content. Nice soundtrack too.

It’s like flappy bird with its own unique twist.

We got the game recently and actually love it. The bullet dodging action is a blast and we really love the game astecticly. The game is hard and there’s a few levels we did not enjoy but this is a masterpiece for IOS games.

We love this game we just have no more words for how good it is the only problem is that there is only 3 worlds make more !!!

Everything from the trippy visuals, to the wacky characters, and the insanely addicting gameplay, keeps us coming back to Rungunjumpgun again and again.

This game is an intense platform(?) game that is unique. Like other reviews say it is tough but this is a review from somebody that played all the Souls games so that makes us like it more.. Until the end. The end of the game is filled with unfair spinning blades which are nearly impossible to control the way you want. It generally lost our interest at the end because the levels were flat out impossible to complete with a perfect grace of luck. The game in every other part however is amazing and the characters are.. Erm.. "unique".. Like something you would see in a drug trip. Also the music is very good, and fits very well with the theme of the game. The controls are extremely tight and the levels (until the final planet) are fair, yet extremely challenging. Overall we recommend it for anyone who wants to run, gun, jump, or gun again.

The game is quite fun, highly challenging, and the pixel art is gorgeous, but the game is locked to one specific orientation, and it’s the wrong one for the way we hold our iPad in its case when we play games. Normally we hold our iPad with the home button on the right, as that puts the folded case on the bottom where we can use it as a kind of grip, but we can’t do that with this game, which makes things rather uncomfortable. If they updated it to work in either landscape orientation it’d be a five star game.

We remember this game being free at a time and now it’s $3.00 glad we got it for free before it changed.

We love the old school graphics and the great music. The controls work fine for us. Thankfully you can SKIP levels. We would have been dead in the water had they not put that feature into the game. Most difficult game that we’ve played. We made it to world 3 and we are stuck.

On our iPhone, the game crashes when opened on a certain side of our screen. This means we have to open the game with our phone opened a certain way for us to open it. Other than that the game is perfect.

It’s a game that test your skills as well as your patience. Best of both workds.

Running the the latest iOS beta the game will not even open. Just crashes at launch.

This is a really tightly controlled shooter/platformer that reminds us a lot of super meat boy. It’s brutally hard but also really satisfying and you can eventually get by the hardest levels by practice and planning, at least at first. But unfortunately the end is saturated by a rotating spike mechanic that’s so unreliable and jittery with the physics that it’s effectively random, making the last two sets of levels feel more like a lottery than skill based. It doesn’t matter if you play it once or a hundred times, you can’t ever get better at those sections because the rotation differences are so tiny they’re impossible to execute reliably. A really disappointing end to an otherwise great title.

This game not working on our device please fix it or pay back our money !!!

Game seems cool but doesn’t always open, even when reclosing app.

Far too easy then far too hard. Later on beating a level doesn’t feel like you got better at the game. Instead, you just feel lucky. Most of the hard levels rely on a spinning cross gimmick that just isn’t fun.

The screen passes in front of our eyes, we die, then we change where we touch, we die. Repeat until not dead. Super glitchy and pixellated (in a bad way) on our iPhone 5S.

We rarely write reviews but this game gave us horrible nausea and a headache. We couldn’t tolerate more than 3 minutes of playing. There are bright flashing lights and rapid color changes that caused really bad motion sickness.

Downloaded app on iPhone 7 current OS, won’t even open.

When the game was released, it would load upside-down. You had to turn over your device to play, covering the speaker (on an iPhone)! The first update was supposed to correct the orientation issue, but instead the game now just crashes on launch.

This game reminds us of Downwell except sideways! It is a very awesome and fun game. Great for both the phone and the iPad. Graphically similar to Super Metroid: beautiful. Music is crack. It also has levels that really push you to achieve. This is worth a buy: you will love it! One complaint: there needs to be a quick reset button available for those of us who try to collect everything. Right now you have to exit the level and reenter to start over if you mess up.

Keeps us coming back. Really glad to see something like this on iOS.

We got RunGunJumpGun on steam a few days after its original release and we couldn’t get enough of it. As fun as the game was on desktop, with such a simple control scheme we felt like it would dominate the App Store, and that is exactly what this does. Everything from the beautiful artwork to the fantastic soundtrack stays the same, along with new and simple touchscreen controls that work perfectly for the game. Just be ready for a challenge when you pick it up!

Love it. This is maybe the hardcorest of hardcore iPad games. The art style is inspired, which is described in many reviews already. If it isn’t clear already, it is the polar opposite of "pleasant quiet turn-based puzzle;" instead, this is very fast and requires a lot of drilling rote motor movement and memorizing levels. There is an achievement we got today for dying in a level 100 times in a row, which we probably did within a five-minute period. Sorry if you’re too old to appreciate that.

This is has to be as cool as when Downwell came out! It really is that big of a hem, we highly recommend it for it’s incredibly unique aesthetics and fun challenging gameplay.

Like its description said, this game really is TOUGH AS NAILS. The first few levels are pretty simple, but once you get far into it, you’re gonna wish you hadn’t said anything about it being "easy." our only complaint is that the portrait orientation won’t flip. We’re a lefty so when we turn our phone sideways to play for some reason we just like having the home button to our right, but the game only allows it to be on the left. Not that big of a deal, still love the game, not like it drops the quality or anything. TD;LR: Fun game, worth your money, tough as nails.

If it makes it a little easier, always hold down the shoot button while simultaneously tapping the fly button. Makes it a little easier.

We haven’t played a great game like this in a LONG time. We love the pixelated graphics and the overall feel. Worth the $2.99 for sure.

We really enjoy playing this game but the only thing we would like to be added is being able to rotate the screen only because our hand blocks the speaker when we play this so i.e. Would be nice to be able to just rotate the phone to the other side.

Game reminds us of VVVVVV but this game has something else. Really cool game worth the $3 asking price.

H4nd0fg0d- formally of touch arcade infamy, until his sorry and sad brainless trust perma banned us. Fk them tho, sssssssss. Anyhow this is a truly sick and delightful IOS gaming experience. Worth every penny. Kudos to the team that put in the work. Stellar stellar stuff! And oh yea, fk you Eli, you twerpy lil b|+ch of a loser. Kisses to mcasket too, fgggggttt. Great lil game tho at the end of the day .

This is one of the most challenging and amazingly designed games on the app store. Its refreshingly old school take on the shooter/runner genre of mobile games is aesthetically pleasing while making you want to spend time trying to complete the increasingly difficult levels. This is definitely worth trying out.

Ok, we love the game but please allow the game to rotate to the other side having the home button on the left side triggers our OCD and sets us off the game.

This game is fantastic and easily the best running game we’ve played. It’s bright, colorful, flashy, and has some great music that complements the dark and edgy tone to the game. It’s like metroid meets an 8-bit rave while running and gunning. The best part is there is absolutely no lag when restarting the level and it flows so smoothly to the beginning you hardly realize you are starting over. It’s challenging but not in the way where you just want to give up, more like you just want to keep playing forever. Fantastic game – highly recommend!
