Aussie Rules Hero is a unique and exciting retro / 8 bit arcade style Australian Rules Football (AFL) goal kicking game.
It's the Aussie Rules game that probably should have been made in the 80's.
We all want to be THAT hero who kicks the match winning goal beyond the 50 metre arc after the siren.
Well, that HERO can now be you (or your mother or baby brother / sister).
With 3 different skill levels, Aussie Rules Hero has been kicked from the ground up to cater for people of all ages.
HOW TO PLAY:
- Tap anywhere on the screen to kick.
- Use the moving target behind the goals to aim.
- Watch wind speed / direction and time remaining.
- If it's out on the full, it's game over.
The aim of the game is to kick as many balls as you can between the two tall goal posts (which is worth 6 points).
IMPORTANT:
Wind speed and wind direction change every kick. Wind speed ranges from 0 (no wind) to 15 (strong wind) while wind direction is simply left or right.
There is also a distance countdown clock which upon reaching 0, the distance from goal changes. It's up to you how many kicks you manage each distance.
HERO TIP:
Your hero can kick again as soon as a footy is kicked. In other words, you don't have to wait for the footy to land. (That means you can go crazy!)

Welcome to season 2022 of Aussie Rules Hero! A new season means it's time for a HUUUUUUGE update.
Ok, here goes:
◉ You can now choose to play any team song when you want! Simply goto Settings and tap on the 'Team Songs' button. Then tap any team button to hear some cool 8 bit AFL tunes. Sweeeeet!
◉ "Score Attack" mode has been completely overhauled. Each game now give you 3 lives. In the previous version, if you kicked the ball out on the full once, it was instantly game over. Now, if you kick it out on the full 3 times, it's game over. This was the most requested feature by our fans.
◉ The taptic engine is used when kicking the ball. The further out from goal, the more of a 'jolt'. It's almost like being at the 'G. Don't worry though, this can be turned off in Settings.
◉ We added a 'BRAG!' button to which takes a screenshot of your high score for you to share with your mates. Please note, this is currently un-available in "Score Attack" mode. A soon to be released update will include the 'BRAG!' button for "Score Attack" mode.
◉ Two new DAILY leaderboards in Game Center so you can be the best for the day. These include:

- 2022 Mad Minute Daily Best
◉ Two new leaderboards for season 2022. These include:

This game is really fun, we're hooked.
A comment below ours claims this game to be sexist and racist. First of all, IT SAYS AUSSIE IN THE NAME! It is an Australian sport so what do you expect. Secondly, how is it sexist? As far as we're aware, there are no female rugby leagues so.
Great time waster game, we enjoy the simplicity. Lots of unlockable heads means you'll be spending lots of your free time trying to unlock those heads. Nice variety of Modes and overall a really fun easy game that is fun to play and will have u wasting time like no other.
Keeps one occupied and with the different game modes you can keep going without getting bored for some time.
This game and its various modes are great for iilling time and the retro 8-bit graphics are sure to bring back nostalgic memories for any gamer of the 80's. A good game if you want to do something casual and fun.
Watch ads IS REQ'D to play trashcan mode, then good luck scoring what you need to unlock players in that mode. THAT IS LAME. Other reqs for unlocking players is impossible. Kick is always from same angle. Not realistic. Same background/stadium. Gets old. Needs more stats: AVG SCORE would be nice, total rounds played, total lifetime goals scored.
This game is extremely sexist. They have probably 20 players you can choose from and none of them is a woman. They also don't have any people of race. This pisses us off theres tons of women who can kick a ball it's obscure that someone could think that a girl could not do that. So, DONT GET THIS GAME.
