You updated this whimsical little game! Thank you!

Okay so at first we thought this game was really lame. We are a big fan of Pixels works and we were disappointed about the limited content. However, this game DOES become quite competitive. Once you begin unlocking more keychains more opportunities arise. Plus one "game" seriously lasts one freaking minute- perfect if you’re waiting in line at a store or waiting for someone. Its very cute and has a bomb soundtrack just like Cave Story. A little piece of the greatness of Pixel’s work. We really gotta report one glitch though: you can’t turn the game over, its sort of locked on the other side of landscape and to us feels very unnatural. Fix?

Great app! Simple, yet fun and addictive. Cool that u can unlock new keychains too. We are a huge fan of Cave Story so anything pixel makes we will buy!! :D First played it a lot on the computer and we’re glad that they ported it to iOS. Buy it!!!

Ignore what we said XP we read it wrong. He is working on Rockfish for iPod.

Hopefully we will get a few new features via updates down the road.

From Amaya, who made the PC indie classic, Cave Story. Catching seals on keychains with darts as fast as you can is challenging. It’s not purely about reflexes, it’s also about coordination, since tapping the wrong seal will kill it. It has a frustrating addictiveness that made classic games enjoyable and replayable. The presentation, music, and unlockables are top notch, too. The 1.01 update says it improves touch response, but it really seems exactly the same to us. Perhaps it was said to please those who blamed their own slowness on the software. However, the game has definitely been made easier; either the seals drop more slowly, or you’re awarded more points now. We were able to unlock everything within 15 minutes with a high score of 1408 and a low score of 33.

Pixel has done a good job nailing the kind of design elements suited for a bite-sized mobile game. The gameplay is essentially a reaction test and it does it in a cute and charming way. Style of the game’s aesthetics is instantly identifiable as being a game made by Pixel. The smooth animations and scene transitions are also a nice touch that add a lot to the polish. Overall we were satisfied with our purchase and we were glad we got a chance to pay Pixel for his efforts. We look forward to buying his future games.

Our gosh, first you will go "aw, that is so cute!" Then you will figure out the ranking system, and keep at it until you have all of the items, including the lowest reward, that darn blue tuna can! Finally you will play until you unlock all the key chains with their adorable animation (so far we have 3 seal varieties, a frog, and a cat- is there anything else)! Even when you think you’ve gotten everything, you will still try to be a ninja and get a perfect 1800 score as well as more frog and cat medals! Our only criticism is that there is only one ninety second song in the game, when the maker is a genius composer who has made two composition softwares. Even throwing in new renditions of his old songs from the PiyoPiyoPlayer would be nice as unlockables. Still- anybody who wants to feel like a ninja should purchase this game.

This is the kind of game that may seem almost overly simply when first played. Play a little more, though, and you’ll figure out that it was worth the 99¢. The mechanics work very well and the controls are responsive. Just a great game overall.

We will instantly buy anything you make.

This game is so short and simple, anybody could have made it with little effort. However, it has Pixel’s style. Its music sounds like it came from Cave Story. Also, this game has cute pixel art. Good luck with the next game, Pixel! PixelBGMPixel.

This game is cute, simple, and fun. There isn’t a lot of content, but what is there is highly polished. It is worth the price of admission. That being said, we would buy it even if it wasn’t. Anything Pixel makes is an insta-purchase. Please, just take our money!

This is a highly polished game with wonderful graphics and what is there is great. However, at .3M there’s not a lot there. So, the replay value is good but not great. If we could suggest one thing it would be to allow you to choose which of the keychains randomly show up after you have unlocked them. We definitely have our favorites and we would like seeing them more often. If there is a way to do this after getting all of the keychains, we totally retract this suggestion.

This was a great game! Some said it is like having a piece of Cave Story on your iDevice, and we agree. Pixel’s art style and music shines in this game as always, and it was very fun to play. It is a quick play though, and we thought it could have been a free game, but nonetheless, if you like Cave Story and/or Pixel, then we would buy this game. Now Nicalis: where is that iOS port of Ikachan you promised????

Though Azarashi isn’t nearly as great as some of his other games (Cave Story), the simplicity of Pixel’s port of one of his first games is still high-quality. Though it seems like just a reaction test at first, Azarashi (which is Seal in Japanese, we think) is very addicting. To stop the seal keychains from falling, you must tap it. If you tap too soon it comically sticks its tongue out and "Blood" comes out. Its very cartoony; the blood is just some red circles coming out. We never play M-rated video games, and we only occaisionally play T-rated games, but we were fine with the blood in this game. We don’t think people under eight or nine years old should play it, though. One of the of pluses of this game is the art style. Pixel’s art is cute, detailed and works perfectly with this game. There’s little touches, like Ame the cat and the trophies shaped like cats that reference some of his other works. These improve the pixelated yet polished feel of the game. Unfortunately, this game has one major setback: the game barely has any content. If you appreciate the graphics, music and the simple gameplay, it’ll be worth your money, but those who don’t appreciate these will be disappointed with this. Overall, this is a good game, with addictive gameplay, great visuals and catchy music, but there’s not a lot of content. Fans of Pixel will enjoy, but if you’ve never played Cave Story, Ikachan or any of his other games, we don’t think you should buy it.

This game is very simple. A character is so cute. Also very easy game. So so.

Our kids and we really enjoyed this. A must buy for fans of Pixel’s other games.

We played this on the computer, when we heard it was out on iOS it was an instabuy.

This is a game that at its core could have been made by anyone. The gameplay is dirt simple: Wait for the object to fall, and tap it before it falls off-screen. Tapping it before it starts to fall results in no score. The whimsy and personality of this game could not have been made by anyone but Pixel. Only he would make the objects seals on keychains. Only he would make the penalty for tapping them early both cute and somewhat horrifying. Only he would compose music like this, which sounds like it came straight from Cave Story. Like a keychain itself, this game has little purpose other than to express a small part of the owner’s personality. But sometimes that is enough. Sometimes we don’t even want to spend three minutes on a game, because this is a game on our phone. Thirty seconds will do. If you like Cave Story, buy this immediately. It’s a small slice of Pixel whimsy to-go.

We initially just bought this game to support Pixel, not hoping for a whole lot from just a simple game. You can definitely feel Pixel’s unique charm shine through in this game. It is a worthy buy for anyone, but especially fans of Cave Story.

Ahahaha until you click too fast~ Very simple, polished game. To be honest, though, we wouldn’t have bought this kind of thing normally, just did it to support pixel.

Cute, simple game. Don’t tap the seals before they drop!

Not the deepest game out there, or with most content, this tiny app has charm to spare. Cute, simple and addictive! Adding a quick-restart function was a touch of genius.

Really cute game, but I’d love to see Game Center integration for leader board support!

It’s a simple game and you’ll try often to beat your last score. While the depth of this title is lacking, it makes up for it with style and charm. It’s for sure a game you’ll show friends and say, "You should check this out." As for controls, we’ve had no problems with tapping.

The tap responsiveness is fiddly at best! We tap the Seal as it falls, but I’d say about 40% of the time it is not recognized as the seal falls. Now at first we thought it was us, maybe we were bad at the game? Our current score is 1305, not too bad! But then we noticed the same problem occurred while tapping the arrow button to progress to the next round,. I’d sometimes have to tap the button 3, 4 or 5 times for it to recognize and progress to the next screen (the button would even go down too!) That’s just plain ridiculous. This simple (but addictive) game has a charming style and would be both fun and challenging normally. But when tapping is so crucial to the gameplay we expect 100% responsiveness — not a frustrating 60%. We expected more from Pixel’s debut! Fix this issue and we’ll give it the rating it really deserves!
