Community Insight:
Is there any possibility of an update where we can play the game with a friend online? We think this idea will bring the game back to life and it will be more fun this way.
Our favorite childhood game, and we still play it. Soundtracks are amazing and the game as a whole is very fun. We hope the game doesn't leave the app store.
Very nice game that programmed originally in amiga in baghdad , al-rabee street, we remember the developer Rabah who is our brother friend, amazing game, nice days to remember.
Will not play on iPhone 13 Max Pro. IOS 15.3.1 – Can only run. Left to right. Cant jump or do actions. Be nice to have fixed. 2 nd time we bought this. Old paid for apps werent updated The Lion Hunt. Switch doesnt work. Dead level. Cant do anything. IPad Pro iOS 15.4.1.
We just love this game..play it everyday. Sure wish more level were added. Maybe sometime soon, we hope.
We've played this app everyday for 3years, never gets boring, just keep replaying it. Just waiting for another.
Great platform game. Puzzles are great and just require a little bit of cleverness — we highly recommend it.
Is a great game it will give you hrs of entertainment.
This is an interesting platformer because the levels are not linear but large areaswhich require exploration. The enemies are either pretty simple or tough to see against the background. And the players weapons are pretty useless – usually the head stomp is best. The store is hard to know how to use but it does give a tour of the map and you can buy other items. We did find one bug where we now have /negative/ 2000 coins and am working our way back to zero, we guess.
Can't stop playing this game. Have solved it many times and keep going back for more.
How many times do we get a fun game in beautiful exotic surroundings trying to solve problems? This is like Mario for brains.
Really enjoy this one and its easy to figure out.
Great puzzle mix with platform like Mario bros. Recommended.
Lots of fun. Very reminiscent of the original Prince of Persia with lots of fun teamwork elements added in with the twins. Love it.
This game is awesome, keeps you thinking, also very strategic…have to keep your wits about you or you get lost. Highly recommended.
This is a great platform/puzzle game. You need to use both character's unique abilities to solve the puzzles and get to the end of the levels. It can be quite challenging, but it is fun as well. Usually when we have gotten stuck, we come back to it and figure it out, and it was actually quite obvious, so stick with it.
Well done fun game with the flavor of the 3 Vikings. Loved it.
Happy to get this game. Interesting and challenging.
We would rcommend this game to anyone who enjoy puzzle and mystery games. A lot of fun.
Thank you for giving it away for free.
We want you to make an RPG classic game with your art style and a complex storyline. Please.
We're motivated by the story that you had explored this game for 16 years. 16 years long that you insisted was not only the game it deserved , but also the spirit that you loved the career etc. Thank you! BRAVO GAME.
Of the 100+ apps that we have for our iPad, this is one of our favorites. The initial run through will keep you occupied for hours. The dev did a great job creating a good atmosphere with the backgrounds and music to match the theme. Finally, level design is very clever. Definitely buy this game.
Best game we've ever purchased! Very challenging & addictive. Would love to see more levels in the future.
A lot of fun, puzzles are great.
Fun platform game and love the theme set in Babylon.
Engaging plat former that requires teamwork. Each brother has specific abilities that apply to certain situations. Only through switching characters can you. Love the multiple levels. It's a great way to pass the time and maintain your gaming skills.
Awesome puzzle scroller with Mario Bros. And Sonic elements. Well done.
Very entertaining game! Interesting story line and perfect graphics!!! Highly recomemded.
How do we get the buttons on the right side like they are in the screenshots? They're different in the game. Can't find the option. Also, they should scale the title screen to fit. Good thing the rest of the game is scaled. The game icon is ugly, too. Wow! It's premium and HD.
This game rehashes various decades-old platform puzzles and game elements in an unrefined, unengaging package. There's nothing fundamentally wrong here… But there's nothing really worthwhile either.
We first was introduced to this via the iPhone app, and eventually bought the iPad HD app. This has been a game that has been loved by the entire family. We have enjoyed it just as much as our kids. The graphics, music, controls are all wonderful. The game/story line are perfect. We just hope the is an eventual sequel to this game.
Great adventure game. Not so simply it's boring, and so difficult it's frustrating. We would recommend this game to everyone.
Babylonian Twins HD is one of the most beautiful platformers for the iPad. The enhanced graphics surely make a lot of the objects 'pop' out of the screen. We can only imagine how beautiful this would even be if the iPad has a retina display. And this has one of the smoothest framerates we've ever seen in our gaming collection for the iPad, and that includes games from big name companies. Babylonian Twins doesn't disappoint in the gameplay arena. But be warned, this game requires good reflexes to master the levels. As you advance further, it's one of the most rewarding experiences in platformers we currently have in the iOS. We could go on and on. Highly recommended for serious gaming fans. Check it out.
The graphics are beautiful, the action is smooth, and the puzzles are delightful. But… The game uses an on-screen joystick, which feels distinctly non-iPad-like. When we pick up the game after playing almost anything else, we find ourselves trying to swipe to move the characters, and that just doesn't work. When we remember to use the joystick, every time we start to get immersed in the game we find that our fingers have drifted and the controls no longer work right. And sometimes, a character will jump or move even when we're not touching the screen at all. At the higher levels, when the action starts getting intense, we find that we have to concentrate more on just getting the controls to work than on the game itself. It's still a cute game, which is why we gave it four stars, but it really needs more iPad-ish (and more reliable) controls.
We paid for the full version, thinking there would be a lot more puzzling and not a lot of twitchy arcade action. Then we started having to swing our characters' little weapons at guards and dogs, and if we didn't time it exactly right, we lost the skirmish. We couldn't figure out exactly what the rules were for how many chances, or lives, we had. We never got much better at fighting, and couldn't avoid it to just focus on the levels and puzzle solving. Each fight felt like a 50-50 coin flip. In the end, after losing another fight, we were given a black screen and asked "try again?" When we said yes, it took us to the very beginning of the level. Wait a minute! Why was we bothering to save our progress every time we saw a shield? What did that gain us? That said, the game is cute looking, and responsive, and has nice music, and doesn't crash. We think this might be the perfect game for someone under 30 who likes "platformers," but to us, it felt like we never quite knew what we were doing, and way too much hassle for the few "puzzles" it actually offered.
Graphics are great, but the game is like a boring cartoon.
We love this game! The graphics are great, and the puzzles are challenging! This game should be in the top charts!! An absolute must- have! :)).
Having played though this game, we can tell you it has been one our favorite iDevice gaming experiences. The quality of the touch controls are the best we've played and the graphics are visually striking. This feels like a great retro game. Some people may expect smoother animations or more action-oriented gameplay. This is a puzzle platformer that looks and plays like classic games. The graphics are an incredible blend of photorealistic backgrounds and great cartoon-looking sprites but it still has the animated look and feel of something you would have played on your Super Nintendo. If you go in with those expectations, you'll find this is a gem in the App Store.
The graphics are amazing. It plays smooth and fast. Once we got the concept down that a twin had to freeze the rest was easy. We can't believe how crisp the graphics are. We wish all apps were like this game. It's easy to control and a lot of fun. We couldn't put it down for hours today.
Beautiful graphics, smooth animations, atmospheric music. We were a little confused at first playing as two twins, but now that we understand it, it's a really nice game! Looks beautiful on the iPad.
Edit (v1.1): The super smooth scrolling really makes this the best platformer ever on App Store. Also, thanks for adding save feature. — This is by far the most challenging puzzle platformer on the iPad. If you can't think your way through the levels, don't blame the game. Also, just wandering through the historic levels and enjoying the detailed graphics and beautiful music is worth the few bucks this game costs. The history behind the game development in Iraq is also an added bonus. Definitely deserves to be the best game of the month as chosen by TouchArcade.
When we first bought this game we thought it was great, but we still didn't think it could go "all the way" because the scrolling was rather jerky (we're very picky). But now, after the last update, the horizontal scrolling if ultra smooth and we love it! If you have love for smooth side-scrolling Amiga platformers then you will love this game. We can't believe that this game isn't ranked higher. We really hope there will be more games of this caliber on app store in the future.
Nice game good graphics & music good job.
We have been playing video games our whole life (33+ years). We love the 8 and 16 bit eras. Babylonian Twins is an awesome game, that really takes us back to what we love about 16 bit games. The music is done in a Midi style, as the 16-bit games were. Graphically, the game looks VERY cool. If you pay attention to high windows, they use parrallax scrolling. We don't know if the older systems would have run this game. It's a great game with some really great strategy. We enjoyed this on our iPod, but now that we have seen it on our iPad – woah, we just truly am floored.
Thanks for fixing the bug -nice game – would love the view to be zoomed out even more so we don't rush head long into enemies… But great game.
Looks to be an interesting problem solving game. Much better than the typical hack and slash.
A classic style good platforming game which is reminiscent of the good ol' days of the genre in the 16 bit era. Also has a bit of The Lost Vikings gameplay in it where you have to use more than one character to solve puzzles. Good gameplay and controls are fine for the most part. Only complaint so far is that we wish the there was a button, possibly below the d-pad, that switches between the 2 characters. We're sure it's fine on the iPhone, but on the iPad tapping on the top left of the screen is a bit of a stretch especially when your hands are rested on the bottom. Would be much easier and quicker if there was a button closer to the thumbs to switch between the twins…another button for entering doors wouldn't be a bad idea either…again, it might have been fine on the iPhone, but on the iPad, it's not nearly as convenient. Hopefully this will be addressed in the next update…at least have the option to have those buttons there, maybe with the ability to place the buttons where you want like in Nova HD. Other than that complaint, it's a solid title worthy of a purchase.
It's not amazing, it's kind of boring, hoggy for the iPod touch is where it's at with platformers.
It crashes on us every time we try and play. It happens when it tries to load the tutorial level. We reset the settings and it still didn't help. We're gonna try and reinstall the app cause it is a great game.
