We have been playing this Backgammon Game for so long now! It is always our Go-To game! We do always play single, we’ve never branched out to anything more because we are very satisfied playing it this away! We highly recommend this app game whether your a beginner or novice, its great for all! Happy Gaming!
Love the app! Worth the price!! Just please dont limit the doubling cube to one double per game! Make it like the real traditional game of 64 … Or at least give a settings option of choosing if one wants to activate the cube to x64 (just like the x2 option). That way theres no unfair advantage. We like the game, but we hate the advertisements. They force you to look at games that you dont want to play.
We believe this is a popular variation of play. You need exact rolls to get your piece off the board. It would be nice to have this feature.
The new version of this app is just trying to win you on purpose with unfair and mendacious dice numbers. All in all is good. Thank you.
Seems the same rolls keep coming up. Never see rolls like double 2 or 1. Need more variety of rolls to make it more realistic.
We love this app mostly, but the rolls are NOT random while playing the computer. Very much slanted to the computer. But we love the layout and everything else.
This version of backgammon is better then the ones we tried. That being said, we’ve been seeing patterns with the program and in some cases can almost predict when doubles are coming. We still like playing it.
Full of advertising especially google that freezes the iPhone. Works the dice in favor of buyers! Google ads freeze the iPhone. Offensive! The dice is controlled regardless who you play. We tried the three levels. Hard is managed so you always lose against opponent.
When playing the computer be prepared to be blocked and sit on the rail about 95% of the time. The rolls are far from random. In addition, if you have an open piece you will get captured about 95% of the time. Just play manually and delete this app.
Dices are completely rigged!! Always favoring the computer!!
We have played this game all day and observed the rolls which @ least 80% of rolls in favor of app. Very frustrating!!
We just cant play backgammon on this app anymore. The rolls are ridiculously in favor of the app. Its so disappointing as the graphics and the speed of the game is 5 star.
We love the game backgammon. This app is easy to use but it obviously sways on behalf of the computer. As a person who has been playing this game for over 40 years, its obvious that the app is programmed to roll the numbers for the player to lose. We would love this game if the the rolls were truly random.
No matter what moves we make, the game is programmed to win. We can play the same game 30 times, and the computer gets doubles of whatever it needs to win over and over again.
We downloaded this game to refresh our backgammon skills. We play one player vs the computer which can be very frustrating. The lack of randomness in the dice is appalling. 90+% of the time the computer gets the exact roll it needs. When the game is technically over, you may get a couple of sets of doubles to make it seem close. Im going to remove this one and try another. Yes we did win often at Easy, few times at Moderate, once as EXPERT.
We’ve enjoyed this game for quite a while, but lately have noticed what others are saying about the rolls being weighed in favor of the game. Im not sure what the point of that would be, as its just leading people to quit playing. We dont expect to win all the time, but its not fun when it doesnt seem fair.

Try playing highest level; frustrating and unrealistic. Ninety-five percent of the time if you have an open piece it will not only take but simultaneously build a wall so you cannot easily put back in play. Your success rate in removing opponents open piece only about 15 percent. Most rolls designed to ensure you have an open piece. We understand Im playing at hardest level, but come on, give us a chance once in awhile.
Be aware this game totally cheats!! The apps extraordinary ability to hit and cover boggles the mind.
Increased difficulty doesnt mean the computer opponent plays better or makes better moves, it makes it so the dice roll always comes out in favor of the computer. It is statistically impossible for it to be random and have the dice roll favor the computer so consistently.
This game is obviously programmed to cheat. After playing hundreds of games the pattern of your opponent consistently rolling low odds numbers while you consistently dont get high odds numbers is blatant.
As others have said, this is a well designed app in terms of the interface, but the roll probability is egregiously in favor of the computer. We started learning how to play this week and at first thought us getting forced into leaving open men on the board was a skill issue, but after playing 25-30 games against the Medium computer we feel very confident that the roll probability is in favor of the computer every time.
We’ve tested it and 9 time out of 10 the AI will roll exactly the number needed to place pieces on the bar. When the AI is behind it will also begin to roll doubles of what it needs to gain the upper hand. Really this game is only good if youre bored with someone and want to use the 2 player mode.
This game makes you a scared player, and unfortunately its not because of good strategy, but instead because of rigged rolls. Our girlfriend introduced us to backgammon a few weeks ago. We play often when were together as were both fairly into it. Eventually we downloaded this app to get better. Well, the next time we played our girlfriend her exact comment was why are you playing so scared? This game absolutely scars you from how insane the computers rolls are. It teaches you that if you leave even one of your pieces open, that piece will immediately get sent to home the next turn. Its not even discrete about it. We would say 70% of your turns will result in the worst possible outcome for you regardless of the odds. Great interface, love that theres not pay-to-play model, just wish the rolls were truly random. Easy mode is fine for a casual game. Medium can be infuriating. In an effort to not break our phone, we will mot try hard mode.
It is not fair game. The opponent gets exactly what it needs & you will loose because of not fair game.
We’ve been playing for awhile and when playing single you can tell the app favors the app.
The dice always rigged for computer.
Playing the computer, the computer gets five times more doubles, or the exact roll needed to a. Hit you b. Cover c. Both. Id prefer a really random roll of the dice, but this is anything but. Be prepared to hate it. UPDATE: The rigging has gotten worse. The algorithm is now stacked against the player even more, even in the easy early rounds. It is anything but random, which isnt backgammon. Backgammon is a combination of skill and luck, not skill and persistently back luck.
One of the major problems of this game is that the mobile itself brings all the nuts it needs!

Computer rolls are not at all random as the developer states. Much better backgammon apps to be found. AVOID THIS ONE.

Every time Im surprised how its trashed.
We really liked this app at first, not too much advertising and lots of play. But after a while the game puts you up and then magically fills in their home, almost every time. When you put the opponent up, they get in on first roll, when we are up we ALWAYS roll doubles that are blocked and it take 5-7 rolls to get in. No fun, no strategy same every time.
We’ve been playing this game on expert level for several weeks now and Im 100% confident that the computer will nearly always roll exactly whats needed for it to win. Its very frustrating for sure, but its made our live play WAY better. It would be nice to have a more realistic gameplay instead of always getting sent to the bar every time a player is open. Seriously, if you play 100 games you might win 10. Im not a beginner by any means either. Im going to find another app to try out. Update: we’ve decided that Im not leaving the bathroom until we win a match against the computer. (Ive been here for 3 1/2 hrs.)
Im getting the same ad immediately after every game and its annoying. How do we get rid of this.
Where is our review? Ever since our first review ( which had criticism) the game has gotten so ridiculously rigged. Most games we either play a literal 10 minute chase scene around the board or spend the entire game on the bar while the computer clean sweeps.
We have been playing this game for months because we love backgammon. We have found myself cursing at it a lot lately. It SO blatantly cheats! We can be so far ahead and all of a sudden not only does it get the perfect combination it needs, but rolls the almost impossible combinations to keep us from getting off the bar.
This is the most fixed game we’ve ever played! The dice are NOT random as they claim. We get to start about 3 out of 100 games. We get no doubles except ones and all opponents get multiple every game. Its not probable that the rolls are so uneven every game we play. You are either on the winning side or the losers which we are the loser. These unbelievably high score players are bots so they are going to win no matter how far ahead you are. We’ve done the keeping tract and its not fair one iota. Everyone should have a fair chance of starting. Not on this game. Its a mess. We shouldnt bother writing a review because we’ve never seen ours posted only these ones that favor the game. The whole thing is a scam. Watch out they are out to mess with you every time you play.
Quite possibly the most manipulated game of all time. Every. Single. Roll. Is manipulated for or against you. If you enjoy pre-determined outcomes, this game is for you. If not, DO NOT WASTE YOUR PRECIOUS TIME!!!

Very stupid and wasting of time.
Rolls are rigged to promote close games. If a piece is left open it inevitably leads to rolls where open pieces are hit. Great interface but frustrating to play.
The AI amazingly gets exactly the rolls it needs and you very often are forced to leave pieces exposed because of your roles. It seems to create its own luck.
Makes the game dumb when they get the exact roll they need every time. Poor design. Do better. UI is great. Dice ruin the game. Look elsewhere.
