Played for months, and enjoy it. Todays ads are a flashing message banner, which doesnt start until halfway through a game. So far Ive close 2x. Next time we will uninstall offer an ad-free version for a few dollars.
A nice hame but very slow, too much step by step guidance and slow move response. Gets boring quickly. Did not see doubling cube either but this may be a menu item.
This program could be great if they just changed the predictability of the dice. We found that the dice follow a very predictable pattern. Amazingly the last roll when we have two pips left is always a double. Also Id the computer has a pip on the bar, it will alway roll the exact numbers it needs to get back on the board. If the fix the dice i5 would be great.
This game soothed our soul, but it has gotten so slow and could use a little love from its creator.
When the computer wants to win the rolls will always go their way again and again until it wins. Nothing random about it.
We have tried several backgammon games, but not all of them. Being a beginner, we are trying to get good enough to beat hubby! Still on level one, but ready to move ahead, so our review may change. Think we have gotten the hang of it, and this is a good choice for us, who has three of these games downloaded. This is our favorite. Thanks.
We have been playing backgammon for almost 50 years. We find it suspiciously odd the house can roll in one game consistent numbers to hit your player or always manage to enter after being hit. If this were a FAIR game, both sides would have equal opportunities. Unfortunately, this app is rigged.
We just want a good, honest backgammon game. Every move you make with this game, the computer by coincidence tags you. We can understand a few times, but its 95% of the time. We win the majority of the games, but its frustrating when you get tagged every single time you have a piece open! RIDICULOUS.
OK so its not the fastest game but Im not fast either. Im an older person who takes our time and some of the other games are a bit too fast for us. This game is also great for beginners. Im enjoying it.
The AI makes it difficult to play a authentic game. It is apparent that the computer begins to roll doubles when behind.
We have played with another backgammon app via our android and it has a fast feature and automatic play once you are in your house. Wish this app. Would offer the same features.
Too slow and the higher level seems to roll itself doubles to catch up when its behind. The high level should just move with better strategy and not get better dice to win. We wish there was one game that did this.
This game violates the rules of backgammon, theyve known about this for some time, yet they refuse to FIX IT GDamn it! You stupid MOFKERS.
Rolls are totally unrandom, and heavily favor the computer. Rolls to see who goes first went to the computer 92% of the time. No doubling. Allows for illegal moves. When bearing off, computer gets a big majority of the big doubles.
The game feels compelled to continue giving instructions regardless of level of play. The dice obviously are set to roll specific outcomes at different play levels and not random. First, the game wins the first roll over 85% of the time. And if you have a pip that can be barred, You can predict that mother luck will be on the computers side and it WILL roll it. And if you are coming off bar and say only the 6 spot is blocked, we have rolled four consecutive sets of double 6s to not let us off the bar. This is NOT random.
Its a fun app. Its a little slow but for free its worth it.
To challenge or ask the losing player option to firfeir as we had put in 10 while the comoitwr had none. We had to play to rhe end knowing Id win anyways.
Rolls perfect dice for itself every roll.
The old adage of nothings truly free is true. Its still a pretty fun game to play but the dice rolls are slow and most times you can easily detect the computers favoritism. Another worthwhile note is this site after asking that you write a review insist that you establish a nickname, however If your review is deemed unfavorable it wont accept even the most bizaare creative words. Thus youll never get to post the review but we wont give up. The algorithm must be set by the star rating so Ill give it a five and if this gets posted Im sure youll figure it out.
Put this on level 4 and you are a loser from your first move.
It seems like a fair game but its so slow. Pieces are slow to move also. Would like to be able to move along at a faster pace.
This game moves so slowewww… Its painful. Then on its most advanced play, its explaining how to play…. Even more time sucked out of our life! Finally, advanced play should indicate some keener strategy is being employed… Fuggedaboutit! Ive played more challenging 6 yos. The search for a good Backammon App continues.
Im frightened at the thought that anybody would think this computer is cheating. It plays so badly, even on the highest setting.
It's better in that it's more fair than some of the other BG games we've played, but once you get to level 3 it becomes more favorable to the computer. By that we mean, if you happen to have a space with 1 chip the computer will roll that space 9/10, and then you are stuck because somehow the computer manages to have all of its home spaces covered. The computer seems to manage to roll doubles A LOT as well. Oh well, if only we could find a real person to play.
We play at hard level and won it was close.but computer played fair, Graphics are good,controls were good.
Poorly designed – on a single player, the computer conveniently plays exactly the dice required to win or needed to avoid risky position Not a fair way from a game perspective – Otherwise a good graphic and perspective.
Fair play but low graphic for ipad.
For one thing, we selected multiplayer and there wasn't anyone on to be auto matched with. Secondly, the playing pieces are way too small. Our index finger tended to cover two pieces – that's how small the pieces are. Going to delete, sorry. Tournament play or a turn-based option would make us give this app another try. There was no one listed in theGame Center leaderboard either.
