Offline Play Support
The game requires a stable internet connection. However, if you don't have an internet connection. You can still play Backgammon Legends using the Player VS AI and Player vs Player modes. These Backgammon modes become accessible in the login screen after a few seconds of waiting.
Coins
If you are low on coins, you can keep enjoying Backgammon Legends by purchasing in-game currency or you can wait for the next hourly bonus to be ready. Alternatively, you can choose to watch a promotional video and get just enough coins to get back to the game.
Push notifications

Ive played almost 3000 rounds on here and have come to discover there are algorithms for the dice rolls depending on where you land your pieces. The dice should always be random and they are not in this game.
The algorithm has you win or lose around 40-55%. Some games are interesting and have surprising outcomes. Others are clearly rigged to the point it doesnt matter what you do. Having played backgammon in person, we can safely say the shake outcomes are unrealistic on this app so dont be fooled by the fair dice label. Still less rigged than the other backgammon apps.
Follows the exact same pattern of another very similar backgammon app. It gives you good days and bad days. The house skims a little of the bets on games, so even if you are winning 60% of games, youre still losing. On bad days, its absolutely impossible to win. Patterns emerge. 6/3 is a trap. Its seems like bots play on bad days. They do ridiculous things like plat terribly then double when down by 30 pip, then roll 1/36 odds rolls for like, 8 rolls in a row and gammon you. Multiple times now Ive gone from zero to 80,000 chips in one day, the. The next, its wiped out. We keep dropping the level so Im betting very little, but the bots just reck you. Its pay to win. Its a system to coax you to pay.
All of the reviews you see touting the idea that the opponents roll magically accurate numbers is correct. Ive even videoed our games to show our wife how Ill be stuck on the bar and have to roll multiple times to get off even with only 2-3 spots covered but our opponent will get off first roll and if possible also be able to put us on the bar. They likely reward those who buy etc. Not sure. What we are sure about is that the dice rolls are not fair. Ive been playing backgammon our whole life and these rolls are unrealistic.
You have fun if you dont expect to win. The dice are rigged. Do not download. They got us.
This game has to many sales pitches. When you collect timed bonus like the scratch off or spin the wheel you need to wait while it tries to get you to buy the next spin or scratch off. Then it has to try one more time with an are you sure. To many people quit game if losing with zero Punishment they they and get a simple loss. It needs to be more like a gammon or something that hurts them.
Ive played nearly 4,000 games in this app. And we can say with 100% confidence that the dice are not random. Significantly more doubles at the end of the game. Too many improbably perfect rolls to knock of the opponent at a critical time. Theyll say its random but theyre lying. The game is programmed to make it more exciting. But its not real.
This game is stable and theres always ample people to play against. Its well designed and runs smoothly. Unfortunately, Im 100% certain that the dice are not random or natural. We have been playing backgammon our whole life. We are very well aware of the probabilities of rolls. With this game, the most ridiculous rolls come over and over again. When the game decides one side will lose, nothing you do can stop it. Im not sure why this is. When you first log on, you are bombarded with different offers. $1.99 for this, $2.99 for that. And you have to close one after the other to play. Our theory (and it is just a theory) is that they favor people who pay for things. Thats our best guess because the way these dice come in is statistically impossible. At the very least, HIGHLY improbable. We ended up deleting the app.

This is the end for us for looking an excellent exciting backgammon board game.
Sometimes it be feeling like they dice aint as fair as they claim however we really do enjoy this game.
We really loved the interface and the online player mode, the gestures and the ascetics of the boards but Im giving up on this app since Im quite convinced the dice is skewed. Where you wish the opponent wont get that six, s/he will definitely get the six. If youre handed a double dice, its usually likely that your opponent will almost immediately recover a double as well.
We honestly dont know why we continue to play.
This game is either totally with you or against you. There is no way these dice are random given the number of times where the opposing player (or yourself) has one or a very small number of explicit rolls that can make or break the game and they hit that roll. We like to play overall but it is crazy frustrating when the game decides you have been winning too much and turns against you.
Its about 70/30 for the opposing player. Unbalanced dice rolls. They just want you to lose to get you to buy more coin. Practice with this app. But find a better app to play on. Spend your money there, Not her.
We can put up with all of the pop-ups. And the obnoxious music. And the players who think knocking off as many blots as possible is the way to win the game. But the unfair dice? Its a dealbreaker.
If these dice are random, then we should play the lottery. We can't predict the roll about 70% of the time based on the checkers position board. It's actually funny. Way too many pop-ups trying vying for in-app purchases. Screen issues since iOS 26. If you receive any type of notification while playing the game, the screen becomes jittery until you restart the app. We're shocked this has not been fixed yet. Way too many players either leave the game when losing and you're forced to sit and wait for the game to expire. Many players play slow when losing as some form of punishment – very irritating. We do report these players, but we wonder how the game manufacturer handles it – if at all. On a positive note, the graphics are impressive.
Sometimes a ribbon ad will show up on the screen while you are playing and block your view of most of the game. It will not go away. The only way to get rid of it is to leave the game and automatically lose.

The gameplay is good BUT the game decides who wins it doesnt matter how you play when the time comes you have to lose three stars for the gameplay.
Giving it two stars because Ive played a couple of thousand games after feeling that the game is rigged, because its fun. However, two things are true: 1) read the reviews. Most of them say its rigged. Some reviews discuss the stats of their recorded games. How does this game average 4.6 stars when 20 reviews in a row are negative? 2) we stopped playing and played a few thousand games against an AI backgammon app. The app rates your play by your mistakes. Eventually, our rating went from Distracted to World Class we know that Im better than 50% player. We just lost 8 games in a row. That is pretty improbable even for a beginner unless the game is rigged against us. Some reviewers believe we are playing bots. The issue is that winning players dont need to spend money. The app developers have every incentive to rig the game. Read the other views.
Im still pretty new to this, but we really dont appreciate the game making moves for us. We had some good chances of winning, but since it took over and made the moves, we ended up getting blocked 3-4 times and lostdespite having the lead. It would be better if we could control all our own moves.
Beware when your opponent wants to play for double. They will inevitably hold one man in your home, you wont get a single roll that can touch them, they will snag one of your pips and youll get stuck in time out while they roll their way to a win. This game is so fixed.
The game is beautifully designed and very enjoyable to play in terms of visuals and interface. However, the dice algorithm feels off. Whenever we're in a strong position, the opponent consistently rolls exactly what they needoften multiple times in a row. It makesthe game feel less like a fair match and more like it's skewed to create artificial tension or comebacks. Id love to keep playing, but the lack of randomness in dice rolls really takes away from the experience.
As a new player to this game with almost 56% win record after 300 plus games the game shifted. We found the dice would give the other player 4 out 5 rolls doubles and maybe 8-10 doubles in a game unrealistic with dice odds. Players would make odd movements and always hit the correct piece. Got tired of the odd dice and deleted the game.

Visual interface is like 10 years old. But the game is good. Wish the auto play was more effective for move that are obvious.

It allows time to go by more relaxing. Except when the dice rolls dont go your way. But is still very entertaining.

We love this game butThey say that the dice are random but why is it every time we are In the home court the other player ALWAYS gets high doubles more than once or twice and we get low doubles that are often on spaces with no men. It has happened too many times for it to be a coincidence! When we downloaded on the phone, we heard background talking like you hear on customer service during the whole game.adds credence to our thought that the dice are not random.
Good graphics, suspicious about how many AI bots masquerading as players, annoying number of splash screens, candy crush meets a good board game, deleted after 6 games.
We have been playing backgammon for 50 years, we know the dice can get crazy at times. This game takes that to an entirely different level, we have never seen so many miracle dice rolls in our life. Our theory is the algorithm is geared towards people who Buy their add-ons, spend money or pull your hair out of your head over the dice rolls that your opponent gets.
We played someone we believe was an employee and suddenly we had server issues when we started winning. So far every game since, we have been cut off with server issues. Basically just robbing us of all our points every single game. Its bad enough you have to deal with all the improbabilities in dice rolls. But, rouge employees is definitely bad business.
This can be fun, but beware: this game DOES NOT have random rolls which destroys the fun. Sincerely looking for a honest backgammon app that with random rolls and this is not it.
Played our whole life, the rigged dice rolls of this game are comical.
We like playing but it is definitely rigged. There has been games where we should have won but the rolls prevented us from winning and actually benefited the other player more. We also noticed when youre playing against higher level players it seems more the dice rolls go for them. If youre playing a similar level player the dice rolls are more even. Ive noticed if we land on their piece it will roll a number where they can land on multiple of our pieces. Im not sure why they would rig a game like this though since its not playing for money.
We enjoy playing, but we expect to lose. The percent of time the computer gets the exact rolls they need every time and the percent of time the opponent goes first defies statistical theory. Ive never paid for anything in this app so we wonder if thats calculated into the algorithm. If you like taking a chance or two in real game play, dont on this app. Your opponent will get the next three perfect rolls and youre done.

Excellent game even for beginners.
Although at times, the rolls seem rigged but it is still a fun game to play. It does require money if you want to get a bankroll going however it is cheaper than a lot of the other apps out there. We Some players have trillions of coins which is crazy and we wonder how they got so much.
