The game is amazing not only that you get to play as the character during your adventures. You hear the narrator as you interact in the game and the narrator is the one that the narrator was that NPC you first meet. So far we like the storyline along with the narration.
Beautifully narrated with enough going on to keep you motivated to continue playing.
This game was recommended to us by a friend when it first came out but we never had a chance to play it. After playing and loving Hades we decided to go back and give this a try. Unfortunately its just not fun. The controls dont make any sense, damaging or receiving damage is the same color, switching between weapons is awkward and so on. Maybe it was better on a console, but on mobile its not a good game.
We’ve played lots mobile games and ports and this is by far one of the best one the controls are smooth and simple the graphics are beautiful and the narration of the story is gripping. The upgrade system and different perks and special moves gives this game some great depth but not to much that its daunting. We can honestly say that having not played bastion when it originally came out and finally getting to put time into it it is well worth the $5. If your looking for a good action rpg this is a must try!
This is some of the coolest audio we’ve ever seen. The narration adapts to the fight scenes, your weapon choices, the monsters, and the story arch. The music fits perfectly. It has an awesome and very unique vibe. We highly recommend it for ARPG fans.
Goddam pay to play crap fix it.
This game is a classic. Its one our favorites from the Xbox 360 days (Xbox Love Arcade) and one of our favorite mobile games It looks and sounds as beautiful as the console version The touch controls take some getting used to but they work really well A controller works better but needs a little more refinement The controller wont work on menus Itd be nice to re-map the buttons Also we would like for touch screen buttons to be removed from the screen while using controller but none of these issues are game breaking The controller works well for gameplay Also we would like to SuperGiant on how handled their business of offering the game free so that owners of previous version wouldnt feel screwed over Get this game You wont be disappointed Also pick Transistor Another incredible premium experience.

This game is one of the coolest games in the App Store! It’s too bad other developers don’t make games this way. The graphics are gorgeous, the background music is awesome, game play is great, and the story is great. We are really enjoying Bastion.
Infinitely replayable and a genius intellectually stimulating game.
This is quite seriously what the quality standard of mobile games should be, solid graphics, no translation errors, great music, amazing controls and most importantly: NO PREDATORY MONEYSUCKING TACTICS LIKE LOOTBOXES. Just a trial version then the option to unlock the full game. We would have paid twice as much for this.

So far we really like this game. Best part is none of the crap free games do with trying to get you to put up $10, $25, $50!!!! Just to be able to advance at a reasonable pace. Try it out for a little while for free then decide if you want to pay which you will of course and they know it because its awesome!!!!! As far as the game goes good story line so far. Makes you really want to keep playing to find out what happened and how many more people are out there. Game play is pretty easy you dont have to worry about getting killed constantly unlike games like last day on earth which we liked for a while until it became impossible to get to where you needed to go without spending money and or buying weapons. This game you can play as long as you want with none of that waiting 20 min for a charge to appear. So many games could be great if they would just offer a paid ver. Other aspects we like. This may seem odd but the sound track is really cool. It reminds us exactly of the firefly tv show. Still one of the greatest shows ever made! The way each land area forms as you go is pretty neat graphically and the of course the narration of the story is perfect. Lots of funny little jokes added in if you decide to stupidly run off the side and die or go hack and slash on the fence posts. Definitely worth a try.

Great graphics. Love the Morgan Freeman like voice. And the story is nice so far. And we like the ability to change our battle strategy as we want. But we didnt like the free game intro to paid aspect. But it was worth the cost so far.

We just finished playing through for the first time. Excellent story, narration and soundtrack. Game options kept us entertained and we never felt like we were grinding for loot or just killing time. We WILL be playing this again and again. Well worth the cost to play. Oh and even better that you just pay ONCE for the game and dont have to deal with in-app purchases etc. Its a game like games used to be.

This is just an incredible game. An experience you wont forget. We first watched our younger brother play this on his pc from start to finish almost 10 yrs ago. We were so taken with the story and the soundtrack that we remember downloading Zias song and playing it on repeat. Our brother unfortunately is no longer with us, may he Rest In Peace, but this game is a solid beautiful memory we shared. Now that we randomly thought about this game again and found the app, we’ve played and already beat the game in a couple of days. Its challenging, and has ways to increase the difficulty, but still so fun that right after we finished, we ran back in to went play it all over again on the new game plus version. For us, this game isnt just beautifully drawn, wonderfully narrated, and fun from beginning to end. We feel emotionally connected to this game after almost a decade of seeing it played for the first time. Bastion forever has our love and respect. To the developers that worked tirelessly to bring this art to us, thank you. Youve truly created something special, but Im sure you know that but now. Play the game. You wont regret it.
Who gave yall permission to create such an amazing game?? Its better then we could imagine, the music, the voice acting, the action. We know this is an old game but we thought hades was great and now we see where the amazing things about that gave originated from! We’ve seen people talk about this game and review it but there really nothing you can say to justify it. If your on the fence, download it, tell everyone in the house to leave you alone for a hour or 2, grab some good headphones and let the game show you what made us write this review thats all we can say.
We really have much of an expectation to be honest. This game is a gem in the rough for sure. The ambiance, music, gameplay, is wow. And the narration is amazing. We dont know how much is left in the game but Im not looking forward to ending it.
If you liked the Xbox version youll love this version of the game even more. Not only is the story telling good but the game play is balanced and engaging. The narrator does an excellent job of delivering witty one liners. We loved every second of this game.
Bought, got about half way and it wants us to buy again. Ans there is no way to fix it. Just don’t.
Be advised that the in-app purchase for the full game does not work. We personally reached out to Supergiant tech-support, and they were really kind and suggested we request a refund from Apple. Apple refunded us within a day, and super giant also said they would email us when the glitches fixed. Hang in there!
Great graphics, mechanics, storyline, and the narrator is actually cool. We like the difficulty too; not too hard, not too easy. Definitely recommend.
We are NOT a gamer. We play puzzle games & room escapes… Point & clicks when we can find em. RPGs, platformers, and really anything that takes any sort of timing, learning moves, a trackpad, or boss battles is an Auto-Nope from us. Bastion is different. Yes there are all the elements that usually mean Ill stink at the game and get frustrated. But Bastion eases you into its world, and the UTTERLY OUTSTANDING music carries you along, and next thing you know, you are engrossed in the story of The Kid. We played with infinite lives at first, got near the end, and restarted the game on regular difficulty. And Im so glad we did. We dont want the game to end, but also restarting allowed us to explore more territory that we wasnt aware was there during our first run. Id recommend this game to everyone. Even the non-RPG gamers like us. Its perfect. There are enough options that give it a puzzle-like experience, and the story and that astounding soundtrack will hook point and click fans. In our opinion games do not get much better.

Too many games are played with the sound off in todays mobile gaming because frankly no one expects much. This game is a masterpiece that is meant to be played with the sound on. A whole. We take on mobile games and sets a high bar. Worth every penny!
The narrative has a strange way of expressing the show, dont tell. In the form of an old storyteller. That, and the music is outstanding.
We dont possess the words to properly describe how good this game is. We played it when it was new back in 2011 and loved it then. Found it in iOS while we were bored with no wifi, and playing through it again we are just as blown away with it as we were the . The best part about this is having it on mobile allows it to be played by people who may not come across it normally. It plays just as good on mobile as it did on Xbox back then. Maybe better since screens on phone blow away TVs of the day. Everything: gameplay, sound design, music, dialogue. We cant recommend this, and other SuperGiant Games enough. They are just amazing.
Hands down one of our favorite games on iOS. Great graphics, fun campaign, and fantastic soundtrack to go along with it. Super fun. 100% worth it.
The gameplay of this game is pretty good. And Id say the graphics are just as good. The only thing bad we have to say about this game is that the whole thing isnt free. To purchase the full game it is $4.99. So, just be mindful about that and remember that you are only playing a demo.
This game is mesmerizing! We have never payed for an iPad game before because we felt it wasnt worth it but this game is worth every penny. The gameplay is smooth and the story is beautiful! Absolutely love it.
We played the switch version after a recommendation from RGT 85 on YouTube. We believe the full game price was around the same on the switch. We highly recommend this game it’s worth the money. The gameplay and constant narration of your every action we’re great! The weapon challenge make the combination of upgrades meaningful and force you to practice and learn how to use every weapon and mechanic.
We first played in on Pc although its clear thought was put into the mobile version as well it is the full game after paying for it and its just as good as the first.
We came in not expecting anything and bam its hits us with such a stunning game with fantastic narration omg we love it its just so fun we cant stop playing. Im excited to find out what story lies ahead.
