BattleHeart legacy is a gem, cant say the same for the other strategy prequels. But if legacy had a sequel Id buy it no matter the price.
Love this game so much. This is one of the best mobile RPGs on the market.
We have played this game for years now and we love it. Great game play style, perfect for mobile. We really like the customization with classes. We had fun coming up with a unique blend like our Death Knight (knight/witch/necromancer/ice magic) we really hope for a BH Legacy 2.
Cmon this is best rpg ever! How about adding stuff in or remakes?
Honestly we have been playing this game for about 3-4 years and we have to say its one of the funnest games we have ever played. This is a game that only comes once in a life time, we recommend 100% to buy this game, the graphics and perfect and the game has a basic backstory that is very entertaining. Its like a medieval fantasy game like oblivion, Skyrim, just packed with great and fun locations and missions and items to unlock. Other apps should be taking notes, the best thing about the game system is that you can play it offline, whenever Im on a road trip or a plane too kill some time we play this amazing game. This game and battleheart are one of the funniest series ever, especially this game.
Genuinely one of the most entertaining and well thought out fantasy worlds we’ve been able to play in recent years. Have replayed multiple times. Only current complaint about the game is that it ends.
This game is really good considering its a mobile game. We spend hours and hours on this game its a great time waster. Even though you can beat the game in like 4 or 5 days if you concentrate on just that character, you can replay it and play as a different class and make other choices and still have a great time. Its really cool how some classes you need to find or do a quest to get. It would be great if you could update it like have a new class or even races like Elves or Dwarves and you start out with some bonuses to your stats, or maybe you could make subclasses. This was definitely worth the $4.99.
One of our all time favorite iPhone games , and we’ve played quite a few. It has tremendous depth, challenges, customizations, great art, personality, etc. We’ve actually mastered every single class with multiple play throughs and love testing out different combinations in the arena. Highly recommended, you can win this game in 8 hours or really try to get the strongest character possible and play an enjoyable 50-60 hours. Wish Mika Mobile would keep on making games like this, sequel sequel sequel!
This was a well thought out game, and many people love it. It obviously took a LARGE amount of work, but didnt seem to receive the publicity it should have. We suspect this is why attention to the game dwindled (not enough potential revenue to justify further development)? In any case, the current times provide a remarkable opportunity. With Battle Heart Legacy already established as a high-quality game, the key is publicity. A large update (coupled with the current pandemic and therefore larger consumer base) may be enough for this game to gain the attention it deserves. In our humble opinion, allowing multiplayer (hosted on the users devicenot something more risky investment-wise like remote servers) would most definitely generate excitement among players. From our limited game development experience, we realize this would be a huge and frustrating (haha) project. But we truly think multiplayerthe ability to connect with friends over long distances in these harrowing timeswould push this game into the spotlight. Battle Heart Legacy is a hidden gem, an inch away from discovery.
Either update this with new stuff or make a new game already.

We love the game and all but there is an issue. The teaser that you made in the capital bar and the guard barracks, still arent done. Can you PLEASE add on to those quests soon. We dont know if you will even read this, but if you do, please at least tell us if you will at all or no? Besides that its an AMAZING game!

This Game is Great its what most people would wont in a RPG to play how they wont to no means end. Honestly the game would be a lot better if it just had more things to do or got another update we love playing and we want our characters power to be challenged. Please give us something new Im sure other people would want new content as well thanks for the great content though. Please update game with new content games already great just would like more to venture so see new challenges.

Im not in a phase of playing this game currently, but for awhile now we’ve actually felt bad that we havent reviewed it yet. This is our absolute favorite game we’ve played on a mobile device. There are no adds or in app purchases or any of the diminished gameplay that comes with those types of systems. The upgrades are simple enough to not be overwhelming, while giving a lot of choice in customizing and developing your character. The game play itself is smooth as another reviewer has mentioned. We do have a couple of small critiques, but Im gonna put them down at the bottom with some spacing because they have spoilers. We dont write a lot of review but we’ve noticed its easier to motivate to write a bad review when a game pulls a bs manipulative tactic than when its consistently amazing. That being said this is the only game that we’ve felt bad for not writing a review sooner. Its absolutely worth the price. After we finished, we just wanted to play again to try out creating a different character. We’ve done that six or so times. So if youre debating because its a paid game… You should get it. Spoilers below our small critiques are: 1 we wish the game was longer (not that its incredibly short…). We appreciate that you can keep playing and fighting in the arena, but it still feels like once we get a character fully developed the games pretty much over. We know that it makes sense to plan it this way to a degree, but it would be nice to have more levels to go through. We dont think its typical for you all to go back and add to games, but having new levels for our already developed characters would be really fun. 2 the end boss is kind of disappointing. The main strategy involves avoiding their one shot kill move. Its just not that fun. We beat it once then stopped short with all the other characters we developed because its just not all that enjoyable to play. The tower levels however are incredibly fun and probably our favorite part. We wish there was way more of that. Anyway, really great game :)
One of our all time favs. Reinstalled on our latest iPad and display is zoomed-in about 25%. Not game-breaking, but enough to to be problem. Really disappointed as we doubt Mika has any plans to update.
Almost everything about this game is absolutely perfect. The graphics are great for a simple, free mobile game. The dialogue is HILARIOUS, and it leads to some choices that you never thought were possible. The skills and equipment are surprisingly creative for an RPG. This game has SO MUCH replay ability. You could replay it 10 times over and still have new dialogue to choose, new skills to learn, and new choices to make. Honestly really deserves five stars, you dont see this much effort put into a mobile game these days.
The nostalgia this game gives us is real. Used to play this on our iPad years ago. This is such a good game we highly recommend buying it. :))
We need more games like this on the App Store that is open world and gives you choices on what class you want to play. For example a wizard NOT everyone is gonna find playing a rouge running around with a dagger fun. But we do enjoy the freedom of choosing what you want to be and the freedom to choose where you want to go that is what makes this game fun to us. We just wish the game had more content to do but thats about it definitely give this game a try if you love open world RPG games.
Still one of our favorite games. We wish there could be more content added or a sequel with the same game style.

Guess we were the better part of a decade late to the party but what a great game. You really feel like your building your guy and honestly this is best compared to a scaled back Skyrim. Battle is fun, customization is done well, balance is great and the only real problem it has is ruining us for other app games. How can we find another game this good?

Though It starts off a little slow, its pure fun to build your character in all the different classes this game has for you! With all these ways to play it has good replayability, with fun and strategical gameplay to boot! The story is also pretty good, with hilarious and witty dialogue options to mess around a bit. All in all a great game, definitely worth those 5 bucks.
We love this game. One of the few iOS apps that we keep coming back to. We would gladly pay for more content – more skills, more equipment, more levels, and more story. Or, just make another one. Id buy it immediately. We’ve beaten this game several times, but we occasionally go back and develop new skills and learn to fight with different versions of combat. Please make new content like this! Its so good!
So this game is probably the best rpg game on the appstore by far with many different skills that are diverse and pleasing, us being us we’ve already beaten the game like 3 times and its become boring now. Im telling you please can u add stuff in the game or make another game like this one because this was the best experience in mobile rpg we’ve ever witnessed. Please do something to cure our bordem and thank you. Also im rating it 5 stars because we like the game, just because im bored because we’ve beaten 3 times doesnt mean we should rate it lower, but we will if you dont fix this problem!!! Ty.
This is our favorite iOS game, we wish there were more like it. Other reviews will give you the lowdown, just know that we concur.
This game is still incredible after several years. It continues to be a mainstay on our phone and something we constantly come back to. The art style is fun and the world itself is beautifully crafted. The gameplay is super clever where it starts simply but as you unlock classes and skills can become as complex as you want it to be. One of the best parts is the fact that you can specialize your character however you wish with skills from nearly a dozen different classes. Want a Bezrker with Light magic? Done. Super dark-magic Ninja? Totally doable. Master Mage that does all the magic? Heck Yeah. Do yourself a favor and check out this game. SO worth it!
We appreciate that this isnt some linear story that you mindlessly go through. This is reminiscent of those old RPG games that we fell in love with where you grow a character and decide which attributes to increase, which allows you to progress in various character classes. Instead of a team of several characters (which we prefer), you are a team of ONE… But at least you arent locked in to any specific character class but can learn any skill if you have the right level of prerequisite attribute. This makes for pleasing gameplay. Its not mindless and easyits action packed and challenging. Well done.
Great game but, we think u should update it. Add more stuff and things like that.
This is one of the most fun RPGs we’ve played in years. We know Im discovering it late, but still really holds up graphically and game play is a superb mix of strategy and real-time tactics. We give 4 stars instead of 5 because it has loose ends in the story line that seem to presage expansion, yet looks like nothing is in the works. What a missed opportunity since the narrative, replay value and skill building mechanics could support tons of further content, which we would unhesitatingly pay for! Dont let that deter any first-timers though. Game is still fresh for easily 50+ hours given its current breadth and different experiences by playing mashups of the current character skill classes.
Minus a star because its plot is too simpleand without Chinese.
Please add more content to the game!! I’d gladly pay more money for more levels, bosses, battles, classes. Not micro transactions and crap like that but I’d pay for an expansion pack. It’s been ages and no content.
We have always loved Mika Mobile and we get it they expected more from their games, but the fact the resolution isnt set right on the iPad is likely an easy fix that they should keep the people who did believe in them and spent money, happy.
We’ve gotten to the last castle level 28 and Ill get 4-5 rooms in and then the game crashes and have to start all over. We have leveled up twice and have lost both level ups because of it.
Game is fantastic, dont get us wrong. But what really made us stop playing it is the skills and how they slowmo everything once you activate one. It becomes really annoying to a point we just cant handle it. If you could make an option where we can switch off the skills animation or the semi-lock slowmo effect of skills it would be great. Ill re-install it right now to be honest. If not, then maybe think of this suggestion for your upcoming game. There is just no way im ever playing a game with this mechanic.
We really want to like this game but sometimes when we leave a location the game goes to a black screen and freezes until it restarts. Im on an iPhone 11 Pro.
April 2022 This game has not been updated since 2 years ago. We would not recommend spending $ on this game. Concept is great and we love the game but it constantly crashes. We went to wave 30 in the arena and gained three levels to only have the game crash and loose all progress – waste of 45 minutes. Other times in areas the game would just freeze. Very frustrating- Stay away from this game unless you see a recent fix on or after this date of review.
Although this game is many years old, it still holds up. Simple progression story, surprisingly deep character customization, a wide variety of items (all of which appear on your character), fun gameplay mechanics, pets/familiars (!) that fight side-by-side with you, and no micro transactions! Battleheart was the first game we purchased for our iPad and, honestly, its probably the best one we have as we still go back to it once a year or so and give it a lengthy play. Buy the game.
Such a wonderful RPG. And instead of having a whole team of people, you control one character with the possibility for them to have abilities from multiple different classes. This is easily in our top 3 RPGs on the iDevice, alongside FFVI and Star Wars – KOTOR. If you’re an RPG fan, you should definitely pick this up.
As an RPG gamer this game had us hooked. The different classes and combinations are just awesome. But as all great things, they end. Wish the devs add more to the game. 2-3 more classes would be great and more quests and maybe a new continent. The game is too short for such a good game. Edit: August 08, 2019 This game needs more content. Even if its paid expansions we would buy it. Too bad this hasn’t been updated for such a long time now.
