Beneath the lighthouse is a serene puzzle action game about a boy in search of his lost Grandpa. Your journey will take you through mysterious mechanical wheels that lay beneath the lighthouse!

We use advertising to monetise the experience. There are no coins/gems/booster to pay for or timers. The free version of the game contains a lives system which is carefully balanced to be fair but that makes the game slightly harder than premium.
Premium unlock:
We offer a single iAP to unlock the game to a premium experience. The premium version contains no 3rd party ads and we remove the lives system.
This game contains cross promotion for other Nitrome games and this is not removed with the IAP for removal of ads.

Bruh, when we were at level 5 all we did was keep crying all the time.
This was a nice game. Even though the storys pretty simple and most of it is just gameplay, it really felt a lot more touching than most mobile games.

Im only up to level 7. It makes you want to scream… Because you get SOOO close to completing the level, and then you die. This game is great! We love the art style and gameplay, but on IPhone X it doesnt fit the screen. Please fix this.
Every time we go close to the end we die immediately and quick pls fix how hard it is its very frustrating.
We try to play our music while we play but every time we try it pauses our music and plays the game audio. We tried to mute the game and just play the music but that still didnt work and we still couldnt listen to our music while we played the game.
We tried playing this game and it kept glitching and was a little bit slow, but it was fun to play.
Great game, but it glitched out on level 40. Now, the screen wont spin no matter how many times we restart or reselect the level. Even if we play from level 39 back to level 40, the screen wont spin. We deleted the game. Glad we didnt buy it.
Neat idea, great art, but the control are horrendous and frustrating. Should have spent more time on the most important element of gameplay rather than refining appearance.
This game is absurd in difficulty. At times, its clear the devs are money hungry.
We like it and maybe on another update for the app, it should include more minor bug fixes. Includes the iOS 12 and over bug fixes. Because its been five years since you did not update the app.
They wont close even after 15 seconds of frantically tapping CLOSE.

The art of the game is really beautiful and the gameplay is really fun. The levels are challenging and fun to play. Very innovative game.
Kudos to the creators for crafting a really challenging, sometimes irritating, but a fun and rewarding game! Graphics and controls were simple, yet they were so effective.

One of the best games ever. It has a familiar mechanic, but where other games have you spin your Device around(which is annoying, dizzying, and a danger to your device if you drop it) this just uses a single finger to maneuver. The idea is to get from the entrance to the exit by spinning the level clockwise and counter clockwise. In your way, There are spikes, falls, sliding boxes(some with claws), rolling balls(some with spikes), water levels that make you float which aid or hinder your progress, boxes that will block your path or protect you and are activated only while your finger is pressed, moving windmills, level that rotate back when you lift your finger and many combinations of these elements, and we havent even completed it yet! Super addicting! Super fun! Super clever! A mind bending(but not impossible) action puzzler!!! Pure genius.
As expected from Nitrome, the gameplay is perfect. BUT, when we're playing something on our phone we usually listen to music via iTunes, but when you open the game, it absolutely over-rides iTunes, and where we would find iTunes in the control panel, is now Beneath the Lighthouse. Definitely not a big issue, but we would love to see a fix for this soon.
This game is one of a kind but it glitches every time we're in level 14 can you please fix it thank you.
Level14 has so much lag that it's unplayable. Please fix this.
We really only downloaded this game thinking it would be very similar to monument valley. Yet, it's nothing like monument valley. ALTHOUGH, it's still super amazing and we LOVE it. We love the graphics and the art style in this game. Not only that but, we love how each level has its own challenge to it. While it gets harder and harder each time you pass a level, and in our opinion we think that's what makes a game fun and not boring! Besides the gameplay, we love the little dude. He's the reason why we resist from breaking our phone each time we have to replay a level. Yes, it's hard and gets annoying when adds pop up. But, it's worth it. And even if the story to this game is very cute and odd it's definitely different from all the rest of the games out there. We will continue to play this game because we want earn all those gold medals! Must download. If not, your missing out.
This game is beautiful. And what is with these people?? We finnished the first level in our first try.
You can beat the first level you just need quick reflects we did it in our second try they are just lying to hate.
Ok this is a great game and we love the art style and and another thing this what we think about the character you play as so your lonely boy probably have no friends because he was all alone when he was the boat and we think the boy is bullied and so every time he gets bullied and we think his parents aren't always there for him so he gets on his boat to clear his mind and we think a storm started and the boy lost his way home and he found a island with a light house and so we think he goes to the island to see if anyone is in the light house that can help him and we think when he went to the light house he fell through a trap door and that's when his journey begins and why we think this is because when you first start the game he's falling and we think he's trying to find his way out but we may be wrong he may not be bullied and he may be taking lessons on sailing and as he was sailing a storm started or he lost control and helps this way or he ran away because he was bullied and his parents were not there for him so he got on his boat to escape from everything and everyone but he gets lost but he gets lost and finds a island or he doesn't get lost and he finds a island and so he decided to go the the island and live on it so he went on the island and found a light house and so he probably wanted to see if anyone was there but he probably fell through a trap door but we may be wrong or we may be right well we never now if we're right but don't listen to us and this is a great game and this is why we want to make games because we get to make our own story our own character and one of these day you probably will see a app on here that we made but we would make a game that goes deep and is filled with feeling and we would make a game that would make someone think about other people instead of themselves but we do like this game and keep up the work your doing a great job and you know the lethal at made this game you Did a wonderful job and keep up the work.

We loved the design of this game. It was incredible. The colors. The sounds. The characters. It was amazing. The only design aspect that we despise is when it flashes or blinks white every time you "die". Besides that, the puzzles were great. You really had to learn through trial and error. It also gives you the option to skip just invade you are too stuck. All we have to say is good job. ~Jiberish P.S. We played through the whole thing without skipping.
To those of you complaining that there is no way to get past the first level, you should take another look. We passed it in under a minute the very first time we loaded the game up. Great game guys, love it.
The game is great but even when we have the in game sounds muted it pauses our music which we would prefer to listen to while playing the game.

We love this game and we think it's Really cool looking, but some of the later levels like around 19 to 40 are really hard. There is the skip option but it only shows once, can you guys make it so that the skip button can be selected from the setting menu in the game? Plz!! It would make us not want to delete the game every time we play it. Thanks!! Ps we love your game and the only reason we gave it 2 stars is because it is simply just too frustrating!! We get an ad after every level come on developers we get it just tone it down a bit.
Okay we will say that the graphics are beautiful! But we can't pass the first level! The ads are also extremely annoying. Definitely don't get this game.
We really really love this game it's so much strategy. Honestly it's as great as silly sausage. We love nitromethane they are so creative and amazing if they offered internships in LA or somewhere we would love to join.

This game is really fun to play, loved it.
This is a really cute and clever game! What gets us most annoyed though is when we try to play music in the background and the game pauses our music to play its audio. The ads are really obnoxious but we guess it's worth it. Well other then those grievances this is a really creative and interesting game.
We would give this game five stars, except their ads are so insanely intrusive and awful that we can't play more than one level without wanting to murder whomever approved the ad scheme. Basically, you'll be at a critical point in a dynamically changing level, and it flashes to an ad. You then have to dismiss the ad and press the play button, but if you've just made a big move (or really anything's going on other than just standing still) it's impossible to remember quite where you were, so you get killed and have to go back to the beginning. We know these folks are trying to make a buck, but for god's sake, don't ruin your gameplay experience to do it! We're uninstalling now.
Supporting free gameplay with ads is normally okay, but in a game where precision control is required, they shouldn't pop up in the middle of a level. It ruins the experience. Ads should either be between levels only or there shouldn't be a free version of the game.
This game is so ingenious! We constantly fall in love with the visuals and gameplay and each level offers opportunity for new strategy.

The game is nice to look at and fun to play. The controls are smooth and the levels are challenging. We love this game. You should give it a try.
We love this game so much!! Such a unique look and easy (but interesting) gameplay. Up to about level 18 and still intrigued by the variety of obstacles. WARNING- it is quite scarring when the bomb in level 17 hits the character after it laughs. (because the laugh is that of a 7 year old.) (and it gets hit by a bomb.) GREAT APP.
ITS REALLY GOOD AND ADDICTING BUT we WISH THERE WERE MORE LEVELS :(.
Would love a sequel to this where you fall upwards in the clouds called above the light house haha.
This game isn't our cup of tea, but it plays well. Most importantly, the devs let you try it free so we didn't need to pay out to discover that this game isn't for us. Bravo. We wish there were more opportunities to try before you buy on the App Store.
