This used to be the best gin rummy app for apple but the latest update destroyed it.
This new version has such jerky card dealing now, we deleted it, and reinstalled in the hopes it was fixed. Its not. It makes our eyes wonky while playing. Hope they change it.
The new app is awful. It doesnt connect it freezes and it is a waste of time. We miss the old app fix your problems, please.
The game suddenly has slowed down. It deals quickly but each card has slowed way down. Turned off ipad and on again, but still slow.
This was our fav game we played for many hours Now we almost cant even get a game going and once we do opponents leave or get disconnected we hope they fix all these glitches soon. We were better before.
After the latest update, the cards move at a snails pace. Dont like the changes in graphics either.

Enjoying this game for years. Noticed several minor glitches to the developers via their support email. They acknowledged all our requests and in the latest version, all the glitches got addressed. It supports iPhone full screen and cards are readable. A huge improvement on the multiplayer, can find good player during US evening time. The invite also works great. We play with our buddies over the weekend. Very nice update. Highly recommended.
This Best Gin Rummy app/ game just got better. We love this game, and have played it for a long time. We play a 3 to 5 game every day with our significant other, and we dont miss a day. Thanks for this update.
We loved this game and have been playing it for years. However, the recent updates to the GUI was disappointing and a downgrade.
It was a pretty good game, but as soon as they did an upgrade, it wasnt a real game.
We dont like the new look Its hard to see what we have.
Sometimes we have under 10in deadwood but the knock button doesnt appear. Why.
The previous version was a bit too easy, so instead of improving the computer opponent, you curated the deal (clearly its not random) and occasionally peeked at the players hand. Moving on to a different implementation of gin rummy thats an actual game.
THERE IS A MATERIAL FLAW IN CODE. THE ALGO CHOOSES NEXT CARD IN STACK TO BE THE SAME AS THE IMMEDIATELY PREVIOUS DISCARD. SEEMS TO HAPPEN ABOUT 8 OUT OF 10 TIMES. WAY WAY TO HIGH.
Been playing for several years. Locked out of level we always play. No fix yet.
What happened to the app since yesterday? Now, when the opponent pulls from the deck, theres a pause as if the computer is really thinking it over. The game seems jerky now and its disconcerting. Please fix as we love this game.

In updating the app, youve made it less intuitive and more fidgety for us, the user. Can you make the old version available again.
Usually when you get a mobile game you expect it to be crappy and/or full of ads with dumb AI, this has none of the bad stuff and a ton of good potential.

We love this game.our sister and we tried to play this game probably three times a day. We can never get on we invite her or she invites us and we sit there and wait and nothing happens can you tell us why this is so. We love the game but we cant play it together.
We were so upset when this app was updated. It started choosing which cards to meld. Didnt have to make any decisions. Oh, whats that added feature?? Options? We can choose the speed of the game. We can choose to automatically meld or do it ourselves!! Hurray!! Only Gin app that that lets you individualize the settings!! Great app and Ive tried them all.
We enjoy playing with others and recognizing how they play. More challenging. We would like to be able to choose those Ive played before. Maybe having a list of players you could ask to play could be an option. However, we really have nothing negative to say about this version.
Challenging level is up to you. We us the super easy level to help us sleep and more challenging levels during the day. Works for us.

The deck is not totally random. When you hold two of a kind, then throw out one, almost always the card is pulled or thrown on the next try.
We have sent quite a few reviews reporting what is wrong. This thing does not shuffle correctly if someone discards a queen and we dont want it The next card on the deck is a queen happens so often its impossible that its random. So many little things like that and Ive reported them all and they never reply. They never fix things. We love this game. We would gladly pay for a fixed version . Please fix this!!!! If we pay now all we get is the same buggy game with no commercials.
The gameplay for this is good. But the multiplayer is bad. We sent an invitation to someone on our own Wi-Fi network and never connected even though were friends according to Best Gin Rummy. So we tried playing multiplayer with the automatch hello connected with someone named Clong16 but again never connected never got the game started. Maybe the developers have some explanation but if you wanna play the computer, it works terrific. RG.
We are very skilled at this game in real life. This app won't let us gin when we have a full gin rummy hand! When we choose to knock it auto discards a key card instead of an unneeded card and it doesn't let us choose!!! The developers stink. No undo either. But the knock discard card 'we' should get to pick not stupid computer. And does the app even know what a gin hand is?? We don't think so as we just found out. Too bad. Lousy app. Gave it two stars vs one because of the simple interface but it is broken and doesn't know how to play.
The improved graphics are annoying and jumpy. It automatically groups your cards which is not a bad feature, but it is so fast, you dont even have a second to study your cards. Dont fix what ain't broke.
Your new update is causing us to delete your app. In whatever attempt you were making to make the app better was not the result. Its slower, less friendly, and the graphics are worse than before.

Ive been playing this gin for years now. Set it to the expert level and play the different variations to keep it challenging. There arent any annoying defaults to the sim player that other makers have.
Arranging into groups without input from the player can be distracting and can cause a lossit has. That ought to be altered to give the player more flexibility in construction.
Having this problem since the last Apple iPad update. Otherwise have been enjoying the app.
We love this app but a few flaws are driving us nuts: please decide whether a Big Gin is 50 or 100 point, whether a Gin is this or that amount of points. And let us sort our cards before they are counted when the comouter knicks! No fair.
We love everything about this game, except its way too noisy. The sounds are unnecessary and distracts from the game. Im unable to quiet the noise on our iPad. If we could get ride of the annoying noise, we would play more.
Its an ok game. Sometimes it has a mind of its own. It takes cards and discards it if you touch it. Wont really let you arrange your hand. Its not too bad. We play quite a bit.
We can never connect to our friend who is signed in. It just keeps scrolling and we never connect. Whats the secret.

Our wife and we have played hundreds of games using the app. The app has two major flaws. The shuffle randomness is terrible. Frequently, face cards will be drawing 6 or 7 times in a row which is statistically highly improbably. Also, there seems to be a flaw where one player "has the cheat chip" and gets great hands dealt to them many rounds in a row. And then "the cheat chip" goes to the other player. This is statistically much more often than what happens in the standard ebbs and flows playing many rounds over weeks or months. Fix your random number generator (for shuffling the deck) and look into why games get seemed toward one player for long periods of time. As a developer, it seems real easy, shuffle the deck one time using a really good random number generator. Test your random function by doing Monte Carlo simulations to verify it's works well.
Too many glitches. When It works, this game is good. Periodically, however, it will freeze and it locks you out in the middle of a game. Also, it is very difficult to connect with friends to start to play. If a phone call comes in while you are playing gin rummy,The game will freeze up. It is very frustrating.
If you are not used to playing rummy, you wont like it. However, if you love gin rummy.its highly addictive.
We have said all along, that this was the very best online Gin Rummy game available. The new version proves us right.

Fun game. But this flaw needs to be fixed! Also we wish there was a game chat lol.. That way we know Im not playing against robots when we do multiplayer matches.
The game works. We like the variety of Rummy options. And it shows cumulative scores. But we wish we could play in portrait position. And the animation seems stilted or awkward. When we touch a card, and that card moves toward our hand, it suddenly leaves is spot and is inside our hand. Ok, Im being picky, but in the 21st Century, animation could be smoother.
The reason we are only giving at three stars is because even though we chose expert as our opponent, its way too easy for us to win. We just cant think Im that good! Adding onto our review, we win almost every single time. If this opponent is an expert, why do we almost always undercut it? We are down to two stars now and looking for a more challenging game.
Our wife and we downloaded it excited to play against each other. We logged in and invited her through Contacts. It just spun and spun for both of us. Internet and wi-fi are perfectly fine.
