A Glimpse into Best Gin Rummy
Best Gin Rummy is a popular two-player card game, adapted into the touch-screen era through aesthetic game layouts, animations, graphics and sound effects. This game includes single-player and multiplayer games.
In single-player games, a human player can play against a computer opponent. There are three levels of computer opponents to choose from: Rookie, Skilled and Expert. Rookie is the default opponent, tap on "Options > Settings" to choose a new opponent. The opponent players are crafted using sophisticated Artificial Intelligence (AI). Simply, it plays like a human opponent!
In multiplayer or online games, a human player can play against a human opponent. This game provides options to choose a random human opponent or invite Game Center friends.
The objective of the game is to form a hand by combining cards into groups or runs and reduce the point value of the remaining unmatched cards to 10 or less.
Contains 5 game variants: Gin Rummy, Gin 200, Oklahoma Gin, Straight Gin and Hollywood Gin.

We’ve been playing this gin for years now. Set it to the expert level and play the different variations to keep it challenging. There arent any annoying defaults to the sim player that other makers have.
We love this app but a few flaws are driving us nuts: please decide whether a Big Gin is 50 or 100 point, whether a Gin is this or that amount of points. And let us sort our cards before they are counted when the comouter knicks! No fair!
We love everything about this game, except its way too noisy. The sounds are unnecessary and distracts from the game. Im unable to quiet the noise on our iPad. If we could get ride of the annoying noise, we would play more.
Rather clunky graphics. Better algorithms than another app we were using but still not great.
We can never connect to our friend who is signed in. It just keeps scrolling and we never connect. Whats the secret??
Our wife and we have played hundreds of games using the app. The app has two major flaws. The shuffle randomness is terrible. Frequently, face cards will be drawing 6 or 7 times in a row which is statistically highly improbably. Also, there seems to be a flaw where one player "has the cheat chip" and gets great hands dealt to them many rounds in a row. And then "the cheat chip" goes to the other player. This is statistically much more often than what happens in the standard ebbs and flows playing many rounds over weeks or months. Fix your random number generator (for shuffling the deck) and look into why games get seemed toward one player for long periods of time. As a developer, it seems real easy, shuffle the deck one time using a really good random number generator. Test your random function by doing Monte Carlo simulations to verify it’s works well.
Too many glitches. When It works, this game is good. Periodically, however, it will freeze and it locks you out in the middle of a game. Also, it is very difficult to connect with friends to start to play. If a phone call comes in while you are playing gin rummy,The game will freeze up. It is very frustrating.
If you are not used to playing rummy, you wont like it. However, if you love gin rummy. Its highly addictive.
We have said all along, that this was the very best online Gin Rummy game available. The new version proves us right.

Fun game. But this flaw needs to be fixed! Also we wish there was a game chat lol.. That way we know Im not playing against robots when we do multiplayer matches.
The game works. We like the variety of Rummy options. And it shows cumulative scores. But we wish we could play in portrait position. And the animation seems stilted or awkward. When we touch a card, and that card moves toward our hand, it suddenly leaves is spot and is inside our hand. Ok, Im being picky, but in the 21st Century, animation could be smoother.
The reason we are only giving at three stars is because even though we chose expert as our opponent, its way too easy for us to win. We just cant think Im that good! Adding onto our review, we win almost every single time. If this opponent is an expert, why do we almost always undercut it? We are down to two stars now and looking for a more challenging game.
Our wife is sitting next to us on the same WiFi but no matter what we do the game wont allow us to play each other. We think the software is flawed.
Our wife and we downloaded it excited to play against each other. We logged in and invited her through Contacts. It just spun and spun for both of us. Internet and wi-fi are perfectly fine.
We love this game and paid for it a long time ago to stop distracting ads. Suddenly ad banners are on the bottom so we had to restore the game which worked.
Everything about this app is great, expect it recently stopped letting us play with friends online. Everyone we send/receive and invite, Im sent to the main menu. Would have given it a 5 star if we could still play with our friends online. :(
We’ve been playing this game with friends for a couple of years. Since the latest upgrade we havent been able to play. We can connect thru Game Center, but we dont get any cards to play. Its the best gin rummy we’ve played. PLEASE HELP!
When trying to play friends online, the board shows up with NO cards to play.
Playing this game for months but in the last week can no longer load the multiplayer game invite works but it doesnt move on to the playing board. Frustrating because really like this gin game!!

Loving playing Straight Gin lately more than the other versions- but so cool there are different versions to choose from with this app. Used to play Gin Rummy with our Great Grandpa 35 years ago & while bored during quarantine times- came across a different Gin Rummy app we played for a bit but didnt like- then found this one with the option to invite a friend/hubby to play too & even tho he hasnt played yet- Im completely happy with the AI playmate. Very good game & so happy to have found this aesthetically pleasing Gin game app.
Best gin game we’ve played-very enjoyable.
For the most part this is a relaxing fun game. Speed and graphics are good, not overwhelming but good. The computer opponent doesnt often get special moves to make sure it wins as so many free games do. Lots of ads but many are not the half minute variety. We have noticed that if we have 2 of a kind and discard one, the next drawer from the deck is same face value. We cant figure why it is rigged that way unless it is shifting deck sequence for future hands in this game. But it happens at least 7 of 10 times.
We like playing gin Rummy at your site. Good graphics and easy to use. Cant figure why we’ve not lost one match. We understand the game well and can play. But, just not that good. 13mvk.
We played GinRummy using an app that the developer did not keep updated. With the last iOS update, that app would no longer work. And not all GinRummy apps include the Oklahoma variation, which has become our favorite. This app DOES, and the game plays cleaner-looking, if that makes any sense. We are really enjoying this app, and being able to add our name and our virtual opponents name is a nice touch. A comment to those reviewers who thought the game was rigged because the virtual opponent will frequently discard a card of the same value as the one YOU just discarded: When our father taught us this game, back in the 60s, he taught us that strategy. Unless you are collecting a run of cards of the same suit, if you throw down a 10, for instance, your opponent will, also (if he has one and doesnt need it, himself). That gives him a better shot at you not picking it up from the discard pile. So the game isnt rigged in favor of the virtual opponent. At least, not because of THAT!

We play this to unwind at 3am-ish. We have it muted tho, the volume is annoying. We like thT we can adjust levels of difficulty.
The most irritating thing is how it changes your hand without permission. Perhaps you are trying for 3 3s, if you already have 2 but also 3 aces and 2 2 s and draw a 4 in one suit, it automatically changes your hand to a straight. We’ve discarded cards try for a particular set up and when it changes our hand it messes up the whole deal. Also Im finding that the deal and play have started to go slower and hesitate mid deal or play. Other wise its fine.
Easy and it reminded us of the rules.
Too easy on rookie. We havent lost a game and shut out the bot most every time. Hollywood Gin was the way we gambled at it. Glad to see it offered.
Every other gin rummy app cheats. Many "Gin" fairly regularly on the first or second card. Very unusual! Others never deal you three of a kind or a three card straight. This game often goes to the last ten cards and there are few surprises. It’s almost like playing a human opponent! Much more real and they really shuffle the deck.
We need instructions on how two Facebook members can play one another …. We go it to work twice in ten tries … Not sure how we connected.
… But could use a few improvements. Id love to sort our cards myself and to pick which card to discard if we knock. That would be a great update. But its consistent fun.
This game likes to cheat as much as it can get away with thats what we came up with but we still play for something to do when needed.
Good setup, real opponents, few annoying ads.
The ability to find our friend to play against is full of flaws ~ it took over 20 tries to connect with friend. A HUGE upgrade would give the option to actually connect to a specific friend and then to play our turn regardless if she is playing at the same time then she play when she has time you could give up to 5 days to take your turn before forfeit.
We have tried playing with a few different friends on the multiplayer option and when we sent the link to connect, we get a message saying it is trying to connect and all that happens is the wheel keeps spinning like it is trying to connect and it never does. Then it will disconnect. We have tried a few times and this keeps happening, it never connects. Seems like a problem with the platform. We have no problems with our internet connection. How does this get fixed or what am we doing wrong?
Decent game but only works when phone is in landscape,would be better if it would rotate.
Graphics are clean and response time is speedy. The auto-sorting feature is distracting. We believe most players would prefer to arrange the cards in their hand in different orders depending on the game circumstance.
We really like this app for the customizations, especially the double tap for the discard (I often play on the phone and have fat fingers). But honestly, we never loose… And thats not as much fun as youd think. Theres no challenge, even on expert. We want to have a more real world play experience.
We dont like not being able to arrange our cards when we want to arrange them. You can only move your cards around after you draw a card. What we really dislike is if you accidentally bump or tap a card in your hand, it shoots to the discard pile and you cant get it back. So aggravating! You have to be very careful even just moving a card to rearrange it because it will fly into the discard pile and you cant get it back. Please fix these two issues and Ill give it 5 stars. We love having a variety of games and it is fairly evenly matched with the computer opponent.
First, if you even touch a card as if you may discard it, you cant pull it back. Second, if your meld is three threes, the game decides to make it, three, four, five. That stupid action allows your opponent to undercut you. Very flawed game.
There are no good gin rummy apps for iPhone. The UI on this one is particularly atrocious. It is a huge pain to sort cards. We hate, hate, hate it. We imagine the development was outsourced to Indians or Russians who have never played the game. Straight garbage.
