A Glimpse into Bewilderword

In each Bewilderword puzzle a 9 letter word has been scrambled and all of the words that can be made from those 9 letters have been laid out and hidden in a crossword-like pattern for you to find. The only catch is that each of the hidden words must contain the highlighted red letter tile.

Drag the tiles up from the tile rack to form words. Double tap to drop all your placed tiles back on to the tile rack. Shake your device to randomly shuffle the tiles on the tile rack to give you inspiration.

If you do get stuck press the "Clue" button to have one of the hidden letters revealed. But the goal is to try and solve 100% of the hidden words without getting any clues!

Love WordStorm, but not this one. Not a relaxing experience. Not recommended.

We’ve run the game once, played for 30 minutes, shut it down. Now when it loads we can only purchase the back catalog of puzzles for $5.99, no other button responds. Im sorry but one brief play is not enough to justify turning $6 of a fixed income to the developer.

This is our absolute favorite game and has been for a long time, but we wish you could make the letters move more smoothly. The jerkiness is distracting.

Doesnt accept binge but amigo is fine?!

Ok. The free puzzles were, say, at one a day, only a few months worth. We liked the game. Each word you insert gives you clues to the harder ones. Easy to get stuck, and, eureka!, find your way put. Just enough of a challenge, and satisfying to get it done. So we bought the game. Five bucks or so. And . . . Only ten years worth of puzzles! Ok, If you do 2 a day, only five years, but still . . . Ok seriously. A great little game and a definitely NOT greedy price. Very, very nice work, Mr. Sean. :)

Updating as of May 2020: we bought the whole thing for around $5.00 or so. Its such a fun game and buying it gave us every single puzzle back to 2010 or something. Im making our way through day by day. It should take us awhile. The one quirk we would like to see addressed is that the developer is obviously from the UK. Some words are mixed as being slang or colloquialism; we’ve lived with that. But then he should also not use British terms that are slang or colloquialisms in the US. It should work both ways. We still love it and play till our eyeballs hurt on some days. Its exactly our cup of tea. Previous Review: It is actually quite a fun game, but we agree with the first review – the price is steep. It can be like feeding an addiction. There should be a better way for the developers to make their money back we guess we’ll exhaust the free set and be done with it. Pity; we were so enjoying the game.

We normally don’t like word games, we have dysgraphia, and spelling has always been a problem for us. We don’t know how much this game is helping our spelling but between our mom and we we can almost always get a 100% on each puzzle!! Two problems we have with the game are: One, there needs to be a way to sync the game, so that you could play on both your phone, and tablet!! Please!! Two, there have been a number of words that have seemed VERY odd! Some seem to be two words, while other just sound wrong to the ear. Other than that it is a great game!!

Really enjoy the game. Especially in the morning over coffee with the wife; however when we wanted more had to be individually even though the developer says it supports the family sharing Apple Store feature.

Great game but really expensive and monthly – too many other games out there where we wont go broke.

This is a merge of doing a crossword puzzle and anagrams. Absolutely love it.

We paid to get this months game and did not receive it. JanJ4.

Too many freebies out there to play. WHY BUY. We won’t be back!

We especially like this game. Would appreciate being able to find definitions of words spelled. Just discovered have to buy every month! NO! Agree with rest of reviews! Can’t even access free game we downloaded so this app is useless!!! Really disappointed as was one of our favorites! About to give up and delete as appears to be permanent.

Has created (yet) another terrific game for people of all ages! Thank you!

Very challenging, we love it! The cost of all additional months is too high!

We are not paying for each month. That’s insane!

Why can’t it be like wordstorm with 1 payment instead of paying for each individual month? If you change that it gets 5 stars. Once we finish January of 2012, we’re not gonna want to buy each individual month. That’s paying tons of money if you keep playing. No reason to do that. We can afford one payment but not a monthly payment.

This would be a great game but it’s WAY too expensive. Too bad.

We enjoyed the very brief free game. It’s cleverly done! BUT! The reason we only gave 3 stars is because of the expenses required to have a full game. There is a new greed being set by people selling games. They want $1 per page of additional sets. It’s outrageous! We would give $3.99, maybe even $4.99 for the rest of the sets, but we will not pay for each individual set. And as such, we will NOT recommend the game beyond the first set until the monthly fee for sets goes away. It’s a nice game but it’s not worth $12 a year.

Another five star game getting one star because of the developer’s hefty pricing. We like the game ok, but we don’t like it enough to "pay rent" by the month for the game. It only provides a mere few minutes entertainment to complete a game, and is certainly not worth the price the developer has stipulated. There are a whole lot of games out there that many of us play on a daily basis, month in and month out. Can you just imagine if Mahjong Artifacts, Doodle Jump, Tiny Wings, Angry Birds, or some of the better card games decided to charge us each and every month for the privilege of playing their games? LOL The developer did get one thing right for sure. This game is appropriately named, as it is quite "bewildering" when you consider the ridiculous overpricing and the lack of replay value due to boredom of seeing the same crosswords over and over again. :(

This is a great game, one of our favorites. Unfortunately, the pricing is really inappropriate and comes as a big surprise. So we are no longer going to use this app. Really a shame.

Fascinating spin on scrabble type game. Recommend for all word game lovers. Really novel, new word game!

The description actually says that the object of the game is to find ALL the words that can be made. In our first game we made 3 words, which brought up a note on the screen indicating each time that we entered a valid word, "but not part of the solution." So the game ACTUALLY is to find only the words that the developer(s) say you should find. As a word-game lover, this takes much of the enjoyment out of it…
