Community Insight:

Fun little game, keeps you engaged and we haven't seen an ad yet. You just get to play.

Just like the arcade version. Fun and frustrating.

Turn it on its side and its the same as the one on Apple TV.

Every time we make a line the game freezes starting over our progress.

This is addictive and similar to the original jezzball game from the 90s.

As qix fan its great it could better like to have backgrounds to unlock not just solid color background.

We have been playing this on our phone for what we bet had been 10 years. We agree with the comments that we wish you could start past level 1. Thanks for all the fun over the years.

We just got this game and we like it a lot! It is simple, yet fun. Im pretty much hooked now. Would reccomend.

Great game very similar to Qix. This needs a killswitch if a ball gets hung. That way you dont lose all your progress.

We do a lot of work and it freezes repeatedly and we have to start over.

This was our all time favorite game in the 80s growing up when it was called QIX. This is a nice copy and the challenges get harder as you go along. However the screen control is glitchy and not precise. If you can get this MUCH MORE precise it would be great. We have many time seen where our line has been complete by 1/4 to 1/8 and the ball still knocks us out. This is very frustrating. We have also noticed on occasion that when you trap balls and then complete a section the ball does not go away it reappears in a different spot on the game board, this should be fixed. We were pleased to find this and hope you can look into those defects.

Our favorite app of all time. Unfortunately, with the newest iOS, the game does not work very well after about level 20. We hope its updated. We like this better than the newer version.

We love this game, but at least 1/3 of the time, it crashes for no discernible reason. Im playing in iPad, auto-update for at least a year and the situation continues to occur.

Fun. Reminds us of Volfied from many years back. It crashed a couple of times, but no big deal.

Usually works well. Crashes now and then while playing.

Game is a lot of fun. It works great until higher levels but iPhone screen response lag does not provide sufficient control when game speeds up.

Love this game, but it randomly freezes and needs an update to fix the bug.

The only thing Id change is to nit have our avatar in constant motion around the screen edge.

Tired of going back to level one each time. But the game never crashes for us. So thats a plus.

This is one of our favorite old games, but it crashes at random rapid turns in the newer iOS. You have to close out, swipe up to clear the app, and then reopen app. Unsure it will ever be updated – but it was a great, simply great game.

We can spend hours playing games like Bix. However it seems to hang about 1 in every 20 or so games.

Bix is a fun game that may be perfect for OCD people like us who love the clean geometry of a game of straight lines. Our only quibble is the number of glitches that stop the game from working because after a freeze. No explanation, no way to escape, no continuation, a freeze that requires a force quit and start over. Otherwise….very addicting and fun.

Fun but every once in a while it freezes up on our iPhone X and we have to loose the score we were up to and start over, grrrr.

We enjoy the game. The best substitute for Jezzball we have seen, but the game crashes so often that its frustrating to play. PLEASE FIX THE GAME.

We love this game. Please fix the bug that freezes the game randomly.

Nice game, but going back to level 1 every time gets old.

As close to Qix as we have found. Its fun, but we wish you wouldnt have to go back to the first level after every game. We also hate that when you box a ball in, on some levels it pops out into an open area-it should be a dead ball.

Like others, we loved Qiz and this is close (but not as good). Still a lot of fun as a time waster. Biggest problem is when we are coming in parallel to an existing line and try to turn into it and we are just one pixel away, it hangs and you have to restart from beginning. Happens almost every series of games. Gotten to point where we have to jog out and back but then we get hit. And the fact that you have to start over is a little annoying too. Otherwise, solid 3 stars.

Addictive, fun, thinky, only reason for the three stars is that there is no use in collecting the golden balls as there is no option to use them for anything. The game leads you to believe that there is, but it leads to nothing.

Been buggy lately. Freezes a lot mid game.

Really fun app and game. However as of mid 2018 it is now crashing just about every time we play and get past level 12-15. Frustrating. When it isnt crashing, this game is Good for killing time. Reminds us of the old Qix game in GameBoy so big nostalgia points! Suggestion: let people start on level 10 or 20. The first 10 levels arent challenging at all.

If you're looking for a game similar to Qix (the old arcade game by Taito that was eventually ported to GameBoy), you'll have to keep looking. This isn't it. We thought it was, but discovered right away that this is much more akin to the old Windows 3.1 game, Jezzball. Fun in its own right, yes; but don't let the name fool you. There aren't multiple speeds on this game (remember, you would score higher in Qix if you filled in space using the slower speed, but it was riskier); there's only one speed. As you level up, the number of randomly floating balls increasesagain, just like Jezzball. You can sometimes "trap" them, but more often, when you box in one of the floating balls, it reappears in another part of the screen. The game is really simple, but so much like Jezzballand so UNLIKE Qixthat we lost interest after just a couple days. It's not "un-fun"; just not what we were looking for. Loved playing Qix on our GameBoy, and this isn't a replacement, sadly.

Love the game. But it crashes. The pattern we see is when you are running very closely parallel with another line and have to twitch over slightly to join it. We notice it more on higher levels, but that might be because Im more frustrated to lose a high score.

Fun game, but ruined by the actual experience. Not exactly the same as, but reminiscent of Qix. Sadly the current version freezes randomly while playing, and the result is a frustrating waste of time.

Controls arent as responsive as we want for sure.

Theyre either non-responsive or hyper-responsive. Ive lost a life by death-spiraling (remember that in the old Qix game?) into our own path in the few days Ive played this on iOS15 than we ever did. Additionally, the game gets very NON-responsive at times, refusing to move when you swipe to move. This also results in loss of a life and makes this app quite frustrating. Ill keep looking for something better.

Simple fun game premise along the lines of old game boy game. However, its frustratingly glitchy and freezes and crashes. Ive had so many times where Ive had a great game going and going to set a new personal best and it freezes and game has to be restarted to play at which point you are back to level 1. Ive miraculously made it to level 53 once, but typically we dont get that far before it freezes.

We enjoy the game except for: It freezes. A lot. Usually when the tracer is close to another line, we have several lives, or we get anywhere near the 25 level. As you progress further in the game the tracer starts having a mind of its own and will go in a different direction than what you want. You always start at level 1 and cant save your previous games in order to progress. Ive never seen Level 26 because of this and whats mentioned above. Its a simple fun game but irritating to the point we may remove it.

Overall is a fun. More often then not the game will freeze on level 18.

Lots of fun, but it crashes too often.

Decent game… Its not the old arcade game qix. Locks up on quick short moves.

Great time waster that badly needs an update for larger devices.

If you cut a line too close the existing border it freezes.

Been using this app for a year and always enjoyed it. Since ios14 update, the app continues to freeze up and cant play past level 15 due to that. Deleting as its frustrating. Too bad. Simple but fun game.

It is a fun game. Just frustrated that you have to start over at level 1 every-time. We would get a 5 star if you could start at the last level.

Crashes just about every other time.

Played this game occasionally for a year and it was fun. Over the last month game has been completely useless. We get through the first couple levels and the game crashes and completely closes app. When we relaunch it goes into a new game. Please fix.

We love this game but the freezing as became worse please fix it.

The game is great but for two things. The controls are not responsive. Too hard to control the direction. Two is the ads, have to kill safari to get back to the game. No Way to dismiss the ads have to kill the app then kill the ads.
