Most everything relevant has already been noted by previous reviews, and evidently the annoyances have already been addressed or fixed accordingly. What we enjoy the most is the fact that nearly all the puzzles demand your attention and a pleasing amount of thought, without becoming overburdened or impossible to complete. We would note that one or two puzzles did seem to be absent any discernible logic (but it be fair, it might just be me), but all were eventually solvable. Thank you to all devs involved for crafting a series(?) of light games that are fun and ultimately enjoyable, absent any lasting frustrations. Theres always room to pick nits, but overall a fair investment for the enjoyment afforded.
A fun romp with great clues, puzzles and graphics. Thanks for a great game!
While there aren’t any real had scratchers in this little puzzle game, the puzzles are enough to feel like you did something. And even though there are a lot of rooms and bouncing around, the free hint system tells you where you can go next without solving anything for you so you don’t have to keep feeling lost.
Hours of gameplay. The free hints provided in the game or just enough so you can find a location you might have forgotten about. Gameplay is awesome and the puzzles are not simplistic.
We thoroughly enjoyed the first installment of Blackthorn castle and this second one was no disappointment. Its great how they created a whole different game using the same scenes and the story keeps you clicking until the end. Definitely give this a try if you have time to burn !

Im a retired person and needed a puzzle type game to pass time while visiting in a hospital. This game was relaxing, not unsolvable and the story not too dark.

Saved from boredom! Another fun, entertaining game from Syntaxity.
We would have given it 5 stars but there were 3 puzzles which really didnt make any sense, even with the video clues.
We play many of these games, this did not disappoint.
Had fun with the game, some puzzles were harder then others but overall a great game to kill time in the cold crappy days,
Theres something simple about this developers games that makes them a lot of fun. You never have to wonder if youre missing something, everything you need is pretty clear so its just a matter of discovering what to do with the items you find. Look forward to more games from this developer!

Thiz game is a mix of Freudian pzychoanalyziz and coming of age ztory that ownz the LIB znowflakez with post-Marxian meta-narrativez. We beat thiz game with a combination of terrible eyezight and intellectual dumb blonde vibez. Thiz game was a real boogaloo of a time. Hazhtag, three zad virginz.
Well worth every penny, it provides hours and hours of game play time with the same stunning graphics those of us whove been playing them since pre-Syntaxity days. Enough mix of easy – challenging puzzles. If you havent tried any of their games but love this genre you are missing out. We just bought one from a very popular developer that cost the same amount and was finished in just over an hour. To the people at Syntaxity creating these – thank you for maintaining the level of excellence. We have bought & played many other games in this genre and none are even close to yours. Have been waiting for another new one. Which we will happily buy as soon as its ready. BTW, updating the 1st two old games with extended scenes/puzzles, etc. Without requiring more money was a really nice move, very classy.

We loved getting immersed into the scenes, stretching our thinking, and the overall game play. We only found one puzzle that the logic still escapes us, but the rest just required sometimes thinking beyond the obvious. Although we didnt use any hints, we did think it was a little cheap to charge for them, especially when purchasing the game. Looking forward to the next adventure!
It relaxes, helps memory, exercises thinking, all without stress. Because although the puzzles are very reasonable it helps you along the way if you get stuck, with small hints, or videos if you dont quite understand. And then theres the reasonable price need we say more?
We like most of the puzzles but some of the clues dont make sense and we do not like jumping all over from site to site.
Frustrated with page 95.. The # symbol on wall doesnt work. Pushed right buttons but is frozen. This has happened many times. Please fix.

We always play any Syntaxity game that comes out because they are well designed with super graphics ! Not fake looking like many other games theirs is more HD quality. And the game itself is fun to play with just the right amount of difficulty. We just wish they would make games more often!!!!!

Excellent puzzle. Difficult in places – not always clear how to keep moving ahead – but resolves well and thoughtfully designed and executed throughout.
Puzzle hints and places make no sense.

Great fun! The environments are beautiful and the challenges just difficult enough.
Many of the clues dont make sense. The first Blackthorn castle was much easier to figure out.
The clues and items you use have you jumping around the map to parts that are too far from their origins. Make it hard to know where to go next without using hints.
Another really diversionary game from Syntaxity- our sister and we play these together remotely and always have a great time. Lovely setting, challenging assortment of puzzles etc. Cant wait for the next one!
Thanks for such an enjoyable game. We really like doing all the puzzles. We love that the hints and fast travel were included in the purchase. Our only issue was that some of the hint videos were wrong and/or didnt make any sense.
Updating from our previous review – thanks to the developer for the speedy fix to the hints bug; the hints now work perfectly again. Youre awesome! But it appears that the hints – which we paid for – are now gone. The link to a video, which is offered instead, doesnt even go to a video for this game – the video appears to be for Blackthorn Castle, not Blackthorn Castle 2. And even if it was for the correct game, sending the player outside the game, rather than within, is not an improvement – its an annoying distraction. If this is the change intended to make the hints free, then we want the extra money we paid for hints back. However, what Id really prefer is to have the in-games hints we paid for, back. Help us with that and Ill bump our rating up to 5 stars. :-)
We love this game it full have adventure with lots of twists and turns.
Some clues are impossible such as the door with the two glass inserts and the clock hands as a clue. So many scenes we had to use the help a lot but the help is very good so not too frustrating. We would definitely recommend despite these issues.
They need to take a look at the clues and make sure they actually align with the puzzles.
This one is much harder than the first. Great game.
