Very engaging and keeps the brain active.
It would be nice to support landscape orientation, and it would be nice to be able to clear individual circles so they go back to empty. Otherwise great work.
Lots of play options. Only downside is the buttons are a little small. Wouldnt mind having on-the-fly ability to change button placement.
The peg colors are nice but the background is glaring and cant be changed. The right/wrong dots are too small. Im deleting this one.

We’re really enjoying this. It’s a fun, quick game that’s just challenging enough to hold our interest. The only reason it doesn’t get 5 stars is an interface issue. I’d like to be able to easily play another game of the same type and level when we finish one. As it is now, we have to go all the way back to the first screen, pick "play," and pick the type and level of game again. It’s not horribly time-wasting, but it’s not very good interface design. That said, it really is a very good game.
Was disappointed this doesnt allow the classic colors. More importantly, there is no way for one player to set the code for another. You can only play the random number generator.
We were looking for a game that would challenge us mentally; this game did just that. We have never heard of the game mastermind before, so we had to learn all of the rules. At first it was challenging, which is what we were looking for, but the more you play the easier it getswhile maintaining challenging at the same time. Definitely worth the download.
But we think it has a bug in that at classic difficult level the white is never used. UPDATE looks like white is now showing. We don’t know if this an Apple programming limitation or what but the odds of a yellow or white showing a pretty low so we use that to our advantage. UPDATE works great on ipad but buttons presses do no register on iphone se. Also you cant play game on 2 different devices and keep your score. Hope we dont have to factory reset!

Brings back memories of playing this game long ago with pegs.
We love this game for myself, but also for our students. We use it to train them to think logically about solving a problem. It is great to teach about controlling variables, using a control (a color that you have figured out isn’t in the code), observing cause and effect, and deductive reasoning.
Nice recreation of the board game we played many years ago when Mastermind first came out. We always enjoyed it then, and with this app we can do so again. Highly recommend.

Very enjoyable app. We love logic problems but don’t always have the time to work on them. This is a perfect quick game that appeases the logical mind. It’s fun and challenging :-)

Easy to play a few games in just a few minutes.
This is fun as a variation on a classic game. We like that there are different play options and different challenge levels. We just wish there was a way to play with a partner!

Mastermind is a great, quick game that forces you to think to find the solution. We love solving puzzles. It has become our "go to" game. We’ve gotten bored with many of the other games we were playing. Our only issue is with the interface. It doesn’t look like there’s an option to project the game in landscape mode on our iPad. Since we use an attached keyboard, this forces our to hold the iPad in an awkward position to play the game.
Mastermind with pegs was always a great game. This game is as well since you can still play the same version but with harder options as well. Two things we would change to give it a 5 star rating. It would be great to play with others and we wish the directions explained the difference between sequence and timed because they are very similar.
It’s really hard to see the colored hints. They are too small.
We are loving this game! It is so challenging! The only reason we are giving it only 3 stars is because the ‘key’ is so confusing to us. We think red should be the cue for wrong color and gray should be cue for right color/wrong spot. If they update it to where users can change the cues to what works best for them, we will update to 5 stars.
We mean, it’s ok, but it’s not great. We wish we could be the maker of the "secret code". Which, in that case, it isn’t fair. But good game.
Hate the double color situation going on!
We wish there was the option to turn off the use of duplicate colors. We loved this game as a kid, and really wanted to like it for myself and for our kids, but they need an option to play without duplicate colors, and sometimes we want to play that way too.
Fun and addictive, but two problems that need attention. Have only played easy level, but found a puzzle where some clues were wrong (they contradicted each other) and instead of using last guess, we hit the back arrow and started a new game thus avoiding a loss.
A classic reminder of an old favorite when we were growing up.
We might have a little OCD in us because many times that we’re not doing anything that requires too much attention we start playing a bunch of mental games that require patterns and finding every possible pattern. Well this game makes us think of those mental games we play. It’s challenging at first but way fun.
… Except the app can’t give you wrong responses. You have to really want to think hard! Don’t play this if you want a fluff game.
Very simple puzzler which seems never to get tired. Not much to it once you’ve gotten used to it nevertheless it’ll get you some times. As we just read other reviews we realize this game is even better in its conception and base of logic… You just have to stick with it, not get frustrated and pay close attention to the details. We’ve found no glitches not explainable with the exception of (and we may be wrong) white hasn’t been used in the 75-100 times we’ve played.
At least on hard mode the hints are not reflecting the right color in the right place vs right color in wrong place.
We were so excited to download this app until we tried it. The color can be duplicated in the code so it’s very confusing to work out the code. Not fun!!

Keeps improving and getting more fun to play every time they put out a new release! It’s the classic game with a few modern twists. Could use a nice soundtrack or some sound effects to break the silence. Thanks!!!
We’ve always loved this game’s simplicity and challenge. Now with more color, harder levels and always with us.
Need a way to review the "board" after game is done. Also touch and edit codes instead of overwriting the entire code.
