Absolutely the best bridge game! We play it for hours. Never had any problems with it. We play at the bridge center and this is a great way to practice. LOVE the game.
After an opening lead, each player should play in order clockwise. But sometimes bridge Baron reverses this order where each player plays his or her card in a counter clockwise order. We have to fix this problem by shutting down the iPad and rebooting. For $6.90 a month, a bug like this should get a rapid fix. But this has been going on for many months now.
We miss being able to easily review how the other table played the hand. In this version it is tedious.
It was a great bridge app with all the features you could possibly want. Then they raised the price and started taking away features and the bidding and play got stupider. How could you go backwards when AI should lead to an even greater product.
When North is declared, the app switches the player from South to North so you can play the hand, as it should do. However, this switch confuses the app so that the order of play in future hands is counterclockwise from then on, until the app is exited. Most distressing. ALSO cannot delete games played. We should expect more from a subscription-based game.
What happened? When north is declarer, we must play backwards and upside down. Does anyone else have this problem? We are fine when anyone else is declarer.
We play for practice and to improve our game but having to do it counterclockwise is out of play-grade! The App is in reverse and top and bottom cards are reversed also. Not very helpful and confusing Ive had App for a few years. Never had this before.
A new glitch has developed in the past week or so. When playing a hand, the card play rotates counterclockwise instead of clockwise. The arrows indicating who should play seem correct, but it is very disorienting and we need to reboot our iPad to (temporarily) correct the problem. It seems to occur on a daily basis. A continuing disappointment is the inability to replay a hand. In the former version, we enjoyed the opportunity to try to improve the play or see how a hand played with different bidding and contract. Although we love to use this app, we are now looking for an alternativeit is not worth the subscription price.
We paid $20 years ago for unlimited access to this app. We made the mistake of updating it yesterday and not only is it now a HORRIBLE visual experience, it took away our paid access and is requiring we pay a monthly subscription in order to use the app. This was an excellent app that was destroyed by our poor choice to update.
After last upgrade, we cant see two left-most cards of Souths hand because West hand is covering them. Please fix. Thanks.
The update is not as good as the previous, free version. We dont like that it doesnt allow you to modify the convention card like it used to.
This latest update version has a major UI problem making the game unplayable. The two left most cards in our hand (South) are obscured by the face down card on the West, so basically we cant play the game any more since we cant see all our cards to bid our hand!! Please correct ASAP. And while at, please correct the indication for the vulnerable hands – it always shows WE in red as the vulnerable team.
Trying to play but the hand on our left overlaps the cards in our hand so we cannot see our own cards – this app is just not working correctly.
The latest version of Bridge Baron still has a serious error that begs for a fix. When youre presented with your hand as South, the first two cards, whether theyre spades or not, cannot be read. This makes bidding the south hand very challenging. Please fix this with an update ASAP.
We have been using this app for five years and this problem recently popped up a few days ago. On our iPhone, we cant see the far left thirteenth card in our hand because the West side players face down hand covers that card. We cant play the game if we cant see our whole hand!There are also some minor errors, such as the red copyright text covering the settings and our deals options when the phone is rotated horizontally.
Ive used this app for years. Finally cx when 2 of our cards were covered on each play. This was 1 of several problems.
We dont know where to begin. 1. You are no longer able to tailor convention card to your own preferences. Instead you must choose from their limited choices with no ability to include or exclude particular elements 2. The dummy hand is not visible until AFTER the 3rd hand has played. CRAZY! 3. The screen is not optimized for viewing. It was much better prior to this version was released. 4. We previously purchased the app 6 years ago. We paid one price. There wasnt a monthly fee. Now, they only offer a recurring subscriptionwhich is quite expensive! STAY AWAY FROM THIS PRODUCT.
We just updated our Bridge Barron to the latest version unsuspectingly. It is terrible. The dummy doesnt show until after the third person plays. You cannot review the other hand, except stepping through each play. The cards are too small and you cant see the top entirely. We are canceling our subscription.
A new display format for iPads was deployed in the last few weeks. It is flawed. It does not show Vulnerability in Table display. Also, once the auction is complete and defender makes his first lead, Dummy hand does not immediately get laid down. Sometimes defenders partner must also play his first card before Dummy is shown! This clearly not correct. We actually much prefer your previous format versus this new one.
Have been playing on Bridge Baron for many years. It is still the best bridge software for practicing. We specially enjoy being able to switch bidding systems like we do with our regular partners at the local club.
The new version is terrible. It works like an app thats 15 years old. You cannot play it in portrait mode, the cards are difficult to see, its slow. Ive contacted the app developer in the past about problems we had with the app but did not get a response. Ive cancelled our subscription.
Just opened our favorite app and couldnt believe what they did to the most perfect design. We had to cancel our subscription as we can no longer play on this pint size screen Why did u have to mess with perfection.
How is it possible to completely ruin every aspect of a game that has been so much fun to play?! The latest version of Bridge Baron is a complete and utter failure! This is not an exaggeration. Starting with the vertical only positioning of the game which is irritating. The layout is of the hands is terrible. The play of the hands is difficult to follow. The bonehead who reworked the app has no idea how to play bridge. What a disappointment.
There are bugs in the update that we cant fix. Ive contacted providers but their solution doesnt address problems. We want our old version back.
Have been playing bridge Baron for several years – loved the old version. Have no control over what partner does – partner seems to make stupid bids sometimes.
The upgrade to the product is a real step backward. The color scheme is too dark and the cards are harder to read. Game play seems about as good but the review mode only shows you one hand at a time not the whole 13 tricks as it did before. A real loss. Also at the game end you can no longer see the table with the whole deal. It is empty. That is another real loss. All in all we believe it may be time to move on.
We've been buying the pc version since the first edition came out. We also purchased the ipad version, and now it wants a monthly subscription. Ridiculous! How about a refund.
We had no problems with the previous bridge baron that we paid 19.95 and which you no longer accept.this version is awful. How do we turn it to landscape position, we also cant find the edit button to modify some of our settings. Its extremely user unfriendly, and we have been playing for years with the old version. Without any problems. Very disappointed.
After many years of enjoying Bridge Baron on our iPad we are cancelling our subscription. The latest upgrade is far less functional than the prior version. Convention choices are more limited, the review function is essentially useless, navigation is more cumbersome, landscape is gone, etc. Etc. We liked the prior version and am so sorry to se e it go.
Got an updated version of BB this week and it frankly is just awful. What used to be a nice clean easy to use UX is now very difficult to navigate, view and use. Souths hand (the user) is now grayed out so it is difficult to view the cards. When the hand is played an arrow points to the 4th hand who played, not the person who took the trick, leading to massive confusion about what just happened. The buttons and cards are smaller and much tougher to select on screen leading to constant errors trying to play. This is so bad, we have stopped playing what used to be our favorite app. Is there a way to go back a revision and get the old UX.
We have been a Bridgebaron fanatic for many years- our go to platform whenever we feel frustrated or stressed – it was SO easily accessible. WELL – the new update is a disaster- the format is awful, declarers hand is poorly lit until it is their chance to bid, takes forever to play a hand – all the other problems have been succinctly detailed by the previous review we guess we will have to CANCEL our subscription and play solitaire on our club platform – BBO – BRIDGE BASE ONLINE. SO SAD.

Our wife and we love the original Bridge Baron for which we have an ongoing subscription. 5 stars and play it daily. Awoke 3-6-24 AM and found to our dismay that the gold version had been installed on our iPad without our asking or our permission. How do we get back last weeks version? We hate every aspect of the Gold user interface. It couldnt be worse. Well cancel our tournament subscription if this is not put right. What were you thinking? Chris and Barb.
We really missed playing bridge bridge on our old BB app. We bought the new app yesterday. We were able to set it to standard American with weak two bids, but where are the settings for all the conventions we use, such as Stayman, Transfers, Jacoby Two No-trump, Roman Key Blackwood 3014, etc? We have it set on Intermediate. What am we missing? Thank you for your prompt response. We have now been able to choose our conventions and have given a more positive review.

We have enjoyed the Bridge Baron app but it recently changed (without any notice). We do not care for the new format & find there are errors in scoring. We pay for the gold version but am considering dropping our subscription.
We just went to bridge baron and see you are asking for an additional fee ? We. Am disappointed and will look for another site that does not change its plan.

New 2024 version is poor. Slow, buggy and doesnt work in landscape mode on iPad Pro. Please give option to go back to previous version . Thank you.
We also purchased an unlimited use game. This version may have a few more options but we do not want to pay a monthly subscription for something Im supposed to already own. Also, we do not like the new graphics.
