Community Insight:
The app was handy, until we started getting ads in a language we dont speak.
We used to really resent Bill but now we believe the programming is fair. No tricks no breathy context. Thank you.
It is just a great app for playing cards. We highly recommend it.
This app has every card game we want to play in one convenient app. It has friendly graphics and you are not obliterated by ads. Its multiplayer feature is nice if you want a challenge the computer cant give you and the relaxing fun of playing cards with the computer off line. All in all an awesome app.
Oh thank goodness we were so thankful to be thankful that you were happy and happy birthday and we love this so sweet girl we miss her and.
There are plenty of games to choose from.
10/10 wouldrecommend slightly addictive warning.
We absolutely love this app. So many games for us to play at any time. Its so perfect. We think adding the game mancala would be perfect lol.
Pinochle and every other card gam! THE BEST.
Spider solitaire is our favorite, but graphics are small and hard to see cards.
Really enjoy your new game lockup, except for the fact that 90% of the time we are only given low cards, with the exception of an A,K of clubs. With there being no trump this makes it almost impossible to win or even have a fair fight. Either include trump, or have true random dealing. Lockup isnt the only game like this. There are several we refuse to play because Mike, Bill or Lisa always gets dealt a winning hand, and or they count cards.
The good: a lot of times the app can be fun, theres great variety, and it can be addictive. The ads are minimal and Ive had no problems there. The bad: while we havent learned backgammon Ive seen a number of reviews that suggest Bill is inordinately lucky. This reminds of our experiences with three of the games: Farkle, Euchre, and Pinochle. The first is a dice game, and to keep it simple, Bill will roll whats called Hot Dice every other turn. Hot Dice is a roll that rapidly compounds scores and such rolls stack, meaning that you get ridiculously lopsided scores where Bill miraculously rolls this all the time but you roll garbage. Euchre is a bidding game thats really only fun if you dont get dealt 9-9-9-10-Q four suited every goddamn hand. Same with Pinochle – cant win if you only get garbage and are functionally inert to the game. The odds on this consistently being the outcome are astronomical, so Id avoid playing these particular games in the suite. Clean up the obvious roll and deal cheating please. This is actually a glowing review in spite of that.
Lots of simple, but nice, implementations of lots of common games. Thats good. However, it surely seems, and this is based on some statistical analysis of the cards/dice, that the games creators have implemented a cheat method for the computer player(s) instead of (or in addition to) strategy/logic. This cheat seems to be for example, where the computer rolls the dice multiple times (hidden to the player) and takes the best roll as their play. Whereas the human player just gets a random roll and has to play that. Playing against a good human or AI player is fun. Playing against a cheating player is not fun.
The title says everything. Please fix.
The spades programming seems very illogical. Your computer partner will never help you set your opponent. Also, your partner will regularly hold a high speed that could have been dumped off, when your teams bid is already made. If you dont get your tricks early, your partner will take everything he can. In backgammon, the computer very regularly gets the exact combination, the only one that would work, to get out of a bad situation. Toward the end of the game, the computer will always hold two near your home slot. When a move forces you to only have one piece on a space, the computer gets that number to get you about 90% of the time.
You are a very selfish & controlling developer. Not good.
You know it's really a fun game a lot of variety and the strategy is a lot of fun but what's really bad is you know you're playing the computer and it's three or four against one and you can never win after a certain time because it learns of your tails which is kind of good we guess because it's teaching you every way to win but it's a little depressing we guess LOL when you constantly just keep losing and losing and losing we mean playing hearts really is depressing sometimesI think we've mastered rummy they can't get us too much on that one they definitely can't get us on spades either however hearts is another story wow we really wish you could change it because we swear we don't know how we end up with a queen of spades every single time no matter what we get it no matter what otherwise we absolutely positively love all the variety that you have once you have the app for a while and it learns all your ways of playing there's no way you can win.
Hate games that theres no way to win.
Now that the full screen is available for multiplayer on our phone ill be getting much better by playing wherever and whenever.
We absolutely love this app! Theyre always adding new games, and they already have quite the selection of classic games. Out of all the card game apps Ive used this one is our absolute favorite. Its also very easy to learn new games as the rules are always very aptly written. Its perfect.
The multi number input button doesnt work anymore on the new update.
This is one fantastic app! All our faves and Im learning a few new. It does take a bit of getting used to when one generally plays a couple of the games with different rules, but that just makes it more interesting. We completely agree with all of MusicTheoryNerds recommendations, especially the auto flipping of cards. It would also be great if you click on a playable card in the solitaire games it would auto play. Below Im offering some tweaks which IMHO we feel would make three games in particular less frustrating. They are: Gin Rummy: move the knock button away from directly below the players hand. Unless a player has tiny fingers or is using a stylus, its a bit of a crapshoot whether one is knocking or has just ruined their hand by discarding part of their gin. We have small fingers and we still have watched as we lose a hand (or game) due to the proximity of that darn button. Backgammon: allow the player to tap any stone on a particular point and the uppermost stone will highlight for moving to the intended point. And be able to select a point by tapping anywhere within the triangle. Requiring precise tapping is a bit of a pain. And final suggestion concerns Spider: with so many columns it would be terrific if, as is done with Addiction, you could turn your device making the cards larger and increase their visibility. Just a few suggestions that we think would make this already terrific app an outstanding app!! Thanks for all the work that has been put into its creation. Great job.
This is our rating on the chess board.
Lot of good variety in games. Play it all the time.
Sometimes roll dice doesnt work otherwise its great.
We like all the various games and the ability to play opponents etc.. But please please please make it so you can turn the screen on mobile. Even on a big screen of an iPhone 12 it is so hard on the eyes since you cant turn it to landscape the way the other card game apps can. We would stay much longer to play if we didnt have to leave the app due to eye strain and go to another app instead.
Cant read the small numbers on the cards and no Option to make them larger.
We would give this app 5 stars if it had a way to keep track of games won/lost, and for the fact that the action buttons are too close to the cards, at least in some of the games; for ex. In Gin Rummy. This is a simple enough to fix design flaw that takes away from enjoyment of the game. TY.
Hearts is good fun with friends. Kings in the corner is like the dumbest game ever created. Makes no sense logic wise and mostly just depends on luck. Same goes for lockup too.
Its a great app to kill time, but we get tired of the computer winning EVERY TIME! Especially backgammon! It gets frustrating and is very obvious when the computer opponent rolls multiple double sixes and several high rolls as we roll 1s and 2s. Ugh.
Dont waste your time here! The game cheats a lot! Bill always wins! In backgammon he is always getting doubles and always gets what he needs to knock your piece off the board and then block you from moving again. You can get close but you will never win! Ignore all these fake reviews and play a fair game.
We loved the simplicity of the spades and hearts games from this developer. We have been playing the online version of spades for more than a year. Last week we began to see ads constantly while playing spades so we switched to the app version today. Not thru 2 hands of spades in the app and now we see a clip of animated characters making out with a play now prompt. TOTAL NONSENSE!! Cant you just give people what they are looking for in a card game app and cut out the crap.
We love this app. Its free and the games work well. Rules are explained well and we have had no issues.
Clean, simple and with multiple games to play. If you need tutorials go somewhere else. For the serious player this is the best.
We enjoy the distraction of this well developed site.
What a great app. Theres so many different options you have to choose from. And you have so many different games that you can choose from as well and its really wonderful to be able to pull it up anytime its easy to navigate on the app and Bill as always is awesome.
We got this game cause we were in the mood to play a card game we were playing and every round of go fish it felt like the NPCs were winning the whole time, so if you get angry over not winning or this dont download. But this only happens on go fish but other than that great game.
For instance, backgammon player ALWAYS rolls exactly what is needed if you leave a man open. In 13, one or more of your opponents will have at least a pair of twos 99% of the time. Spades partner leads queens when not appropriate. Hearts will drop the spade queen on you 90% of the time. Cmon man, put some effort into your programming. Cribbage opponent is apparently the luckiest dude on the planet.
Nice selection. Well done. Ads are a distraction (as they are designed to be so). Will pay for ad removal…its that good.
We have been a long time fan of the website, so we didnt think we would want the app. However, we couldnt have been more wrong. The layout of the app make finding everything so easy to navigate and even better than the website! We cant recommend this app enough.
Good game and fast-paced. However, there is no chance to undo when you accidentally press something.
Its fun. Our favorite game is kings in the corner. 10/10.
Lots of choices and fun to play.
Easy to manage. Have you ever considered developing an online version of the classic Skunk dice game of the 1950s.
This is the coolest game ever in existence and we would give up our child just for a chance to play this game just once time but since its free we dont have too we feel incredible lucky because now we dont have to give up our son.
To the creators of the website and app, the website and app run very smooth. The rolls of dice in Yahtzy have been random and seemingly fair. Some apps we find the dice or card games will give you similar hands or dice rolls. The function in CardGames.io seems based on better statistics. Im very impressed with the multiplayer and how smooth it runs. We were able to play our mom who lives in another state across country. We have not seen each other since COVID lockdowns began so this has been great for our relationship and to connect. Mental health has improved because of this app and the friendly emoji speech is a fantastic add on. By far our favorite app. Thank you guys for making the website and app run so well.
Like the scoring but font is hard to read, graphics kind of cheesy.
Love the variety of games however there there are bugs. Crazy 8s dont always show which suit has been chosen when the 8 is played. Go Fish is too frustrating. When we pull a card and make 4, we can not go on. When our opponents pull a card and make 4, they get to go again. Please fix.
One of the worst games Ive played. Im a good player but we lost 99% of the games we played. Thats okay but we get tired of the Queen of spades in just about every hand. We dont expect to win every hand but give us a break & let the cards speak for themselves. Every hand is stacked. Loser game builder.
This game has bad words in it. If you are under 12 do not play this.
