Wonderfully conceived and executed game. It has it all: depth, breadth, and variety. It may look deceptively simple, but play it for a while and you will find that behind this pixelated facade hides plethora of mechanics – stealth, magic, special abilities, and more… If there is a game of this kind that surpasses it, we have not seen one. Fantastic little app!
These are the kind of games we love, the dungeon rpg games, it was fun when it started but it was boring with only 2 acts, but now they got 3 and even a tower (endless) mode. So now we can have endless fun, one thing we suggest is more hero/classes.
A very satisfying and well designed roguelike. The game is 100 percent free and there is nothing that isn’t totally reasonable to achieve without spending a penny. That said, the game is so clearly a real work of love by the developer that they should be rewarded for their work. You CAN spend money on points that will allow you to unlock character classes and upgrades but the game is pretty generous with these points just over the course of gameplay that it never feels like the game is trying to push you to spend money. Because of this we are planning to spend a few bucks as a thank you. When game developers do the right thing they should be rewarded. This could easily have been a $9.99 game. Perhaps even more and the cost would have been justified. Anyway if this is your style of game, download immediately.
This game is hands down best game we’ve played on our phone lately. Very accessible, yet still challenging and fun. This is the first game of this kind that we’ve actually managed to get into, so thank you for this awesome game! We wouldn’t change a thing. (^^)

We’ve always liked tabletop rpgs. Perhaps that’s why we’re picky about our video game RPG’s. This game does a great job of keeping you in the action, and not managing a huge list of gear or skills. Fast paced, fun, and notably replayable!

Super satisfying rogue-like with well scaled difficulty, interesting unlocks, diverse classes, and awesome replay. Already put a ton of hours in it. Can’t believe this thing is free.
Best game we’ve found yet, perfect blend of pick up n play with classic rpg. Super fun and addicting. Thief is alot of fun to play with, sometimes we accidentally use a precious hp potion when trying to walk but thats our only complaint.

This game is great and the recent update just made it better.
Absolutely perfectly balanced to allow mobile play for a few mindless minutes here and there. Like others have said – the IAP is entirely optional, essentially a well earned tip for the dev.
This game has been on our phone for over a year. It hasn’t gotten old. The hardest difficulty turns the game into a chess-like experience – one must make precise moves to outmaneuver enemies and survive. This game stands the test of time. We still haven’t beaten every act with every class on the hardest setting. We feel as though certain classes and builds are much better than others (I’ve gone through a few hundred runs at least testing different builds). The thief is hands down the weakest and most difficult class to play. Item and skill drops can completely make or break a run at the hardest difficulty… Something which can get quite annoying at times. Overall there is a lot of luck involved but it is still up to the player to make skillful decisions about risk. Really all the small details of this game are what make it so great. Too many to type out here. Amazing game overall.

This game is hands down one of the best, if not the best free game on ios. It has hours of replay ability with a multitude of weapons and classes. It is one of the few ios games that you can always keep coming back to. Each time we do, we have a unique and entertaining experience every time.

We’ve tried a whole slew of iPhone rogue likes and none even come close to this game’s depth and utter difficulty and suspense. The weapon damage mechanics are frustrating at times, but such a relief when you land a critical killing blow on a Minotaur and it drops a health potion. The rogue class is our favorite, but we haven’t tried all of them… Yet! Would give ten stars if possible!

Wow, already so many outstanding reviews here, lol. For all old-school gamers who enjoyed playing Rogue and other RPGs, this game is must-have. An extremely well designed interface that feels completely natural and intuitive on iOS. The game has been updated several times in response to user feedback, and it just gets better every time. The latest implementation of the (endless) Tower mode is the epitome of what randomly-generated dungeon crawlers are all about. The enemies keep getting tougher while the player character continues to improve. The overall difficulty still continues to steadily increase though, ensuring a fun and challenging game. The variety of character classes should accommodate virtually any RPG-gamer’s preferred play style, and each class provides a very unique game experience. P.s. For the truly hardcore player, there IS a halfway-decent port of that classic Rogue for iOS, but thanks to the new Tower mode we think CQ2 captures the feel of that game type even better than Rogue did. As awesome and ground-breaking as Rogue was, it was always a little TOO random for our taste. Besides, our CQ2 wizard looks so much cooler than just an @ symbol, lol. Anyway, call it a tribute if you like, but CQ2 stands on its own and is paving the way for future iOS dungeon crawlers!

Not much else to say. It’s good.
We don’t know how, but this game manages to be the best RPG Roguelike in the App Store while also being completely free. Everything can be unlocked by playing the game naturally, and the levels are incredibly fun and challenging. We haven’t even scratched the surface of what this game has to offer, and we have played multiple times. Fantastic app for everyone!
Perfect blend of the diablo-styled games and the smart phone ‘play for 3 minutes at a time’ aspect. Characters are all intricate and have varying skill trees, u dont need to spend real world cash, but the option is there if you choose to support the design team, soundtrack is good, graphics are good, we have sunk all our time into this game!
What a wonderfully great game. The difficulty is extremely well balanced and feels properly hard without being unfair, the random generation of levels and items makes each playthrough interesting, the bosses are tough and rewarding to beat, the unlockables are decently expensive without being absurdly costly, making it fun to try and collect everything, the classes are well thought out (although perhaps slightly unoriginal, but well designed) the music is great, the art simple but clear, the controls are a bit tough sometimes (accidentally tapping somewhere and ending up using an invincibility potion happened to us more than once) but are simple to use. Superbly well done game, 10/10.

This game is a rare gem found on the AppStore imo. And free?! Far beyond most free games on here. Would recommend and have whole heartily. Can’t wait to see more games like this. Wonder if a third is in development or already made. We hope so.
We’ve spent so much money on apps over the years and this is hands down one of the best we’ve gotten our hands on. AND ITS FREE. The IAP are unobtrusive and not necessary to fully enjoy the game. This game could have easily been a $5-$10 game, we’re so glad the devs have been this generous :)

Very well done and well balanced. Killing feels satisfying even though you are only tapping. It gets exponentially harder as you go. The first few levels are not too hard from what we’ve played. There is a good variance and balance in the items. We did not feel overpowered, but we were confident enough to kill most of the enemies. As with most rouge-like games, things can get very tense when you are very low on health and you have an enemy chasing you and there are only two more turns until your healing spell cools down and you are so close to the next level and oh our god he missed and you are healed and you are victorious. Feels good man.
This game is great. There are so many different weapons, gear, and enemies. And there really are 7 classes. All available without spending cash. The worlds are randomly generated. So you’ll never get bored. This game is so fun!
This is amazing. The controls are simple enough, but the way of using spells and weapons and equipment to defeat enemies makes it fun and challenging. We hope the developers continue making updates and possibly add more acts to the game.
