How to play Friskies® Cat Fishing:
- Place your mobile phone or tablet on a flat surface near your cat.
- Tap “PLAY”
- Watch your cat tap the screen to catch fish and score points.
- To personalize the screen just for your little kitty, tap on the fish in upper right-hand corner. Select any of the 10 different fish and pond options and hit reset.

Its a wonderful app but our cats dont go for it. We put it on the most realistic mode and they still would not. They try to smell the fish then run away. Its not the app its just our cats that are the problem.
We put the game in front of our cat and she completely ignores it. We dont know why she wont play it! It seems like a good game, but our cat is just not interested.
Endless prodding to sign up for newsletters, etc. Used to be a nice free app.
We put it in front of our cat for 30 minutes and she walked away she didnt like the game at all also why do we have to put in our email.
They want us to create an account for Purina? Just play the stupid game? Dont waste your time. We deleted this garbage.
When ever we start a round of any sort of sound, Penny ( our beloved oversized female cat) whenever she hears the noise, she goes around the house trying to find the other animal, this mostly reveals how stubborn she can be. That is why we rated it 4 stars. OOPS HERE SHE COMEKSKSH.
Well our cat didnt like it he didnt see anything into it if u think your cat might like it then sure but we think it needs some changes so pls do that.
The old version from 2 years ago worked just fine. Open the game, give your phone to the cat. Let them play. Guest mode doesnt work on this new (cr)App it just hangs on Just a second. Try to create an account, probably just so that Purina can send you spam, and you will get a network request failed. What a waste.
We love this game, but theres one problem… We use it more than our cats do! Haha.
Seems like something our cats will really enjoy! Theyre always pawing at our phone so Im sure theyll love this. The colors are nice and bright and we love the background sounds. However, even though we know this is for cats, we were sad to see that there is a spelling error in the app. If you start as a guest and dont sign in, it says you may loose game settings when Im pretty sure they mean lose. Just a small detail we hope the developers can catch and fix.
Seems like a great game but neither one of our cats could care less about the fish.
We originally downloaded this game for the cats, who werent interested, but our toddler loves it. He giggles like crazy every time he scares a fish away! The last couple updates have been broken, somehow, though. The app wont load! We just get a black screen for a few moments, then it crashes. The toddler is quite upset. (Although, he IS two, so he is often upset, haha!) we look forward to a working update!
We would be happy to pay for having the original version back. Previously, the game was simple and enjoyable for hours. The cats couldnt help themselves and went wild on it. To use this version however, you must first create an account, provide your contact information, build a profile for your cat, upload a picture… They changed the look of the fish, and there too many options. Our cats lose interest after a few minutes. Fiskers botched a good thing, and can now abuse your notifications and send you marketing.
For some reason this app just started randomly crashing every time we tried to open it on our iPad! Before that it worked wonderfully but not anymore!
Dont bother with this one. Way too many pop ups in the beginning to get set up. Nothing but a commercial advertising gimmick!
After 30 seconds app puts up persistent membership wall.

Get this app NOW because we have two Persian cats and they love it so much 1. They love it how it looks so real. 2. The sounds are amazing. 3. GET THIS APP SO YOUR KITTENS WILL LOVE IT.

Please bring the old version back. Both of our cats not interested in the new version. Doesnt get their attention at all. Dont fix something that aint broken.
One of our 4 cats LOVES this game! The other 3 could care less. But the one comes running when she hears the sounds, and as she is the one who pesters us most while we work at home we were very happy to let her play. But the game stops after a short time which means we have to stop working to reset the timer. This is almost more annoying than having her walk on our keyboard. Can you make the timer go away, please?

She loves it…. When she is EXTREMELY bored. She has absolutely NO interest in this what so ever! She does find it amusing sometimes so depends what the attention span of you kitten/cat is.
Our cat is way less interested in this update. The bubble sounds in the old version really got her attention. Also, we really dislike having to create an account just so our cat can play a game (my cat wont let us use our iPad without letting her play this game first). We feel like this new version is more human oriented than cat oriented.
Never got a chance to play it. Just crashes when you click on the app after 15 seconds of loading lol. Was trying to use an old iPad mini for the cats. Guess not.
Kitties love the game, catch on right away: now we’re tapping on fish, now we’ve closed the app with a paw swipe (deadly dangerous, we need to use this too also: please install a double side-button way to close the game), now we’re dancing on different apps, now we’re deleting apps, now we’re biting the ipad… Oh, no, dear kitty.
This game will not load on our iPad version iOS 10.0 . All it does is load up to the point and a gray screen appears and then shuts off not sure what’s going on can you please let us know when we need to do to get it working?
The original version was so much better. Our cats actually played but new version – this version they just walked away from, totally interested. Ridiculous to have to enter cat info. While we understand the marketing aspect, its just too much of an invasion of info. Im deleting the app. Our cats prefer our engagement more.
The original Cat Fishing was a great game for the cats. Now Friskies has ruined it by requiring you to enter your cats name, pick fish, and do a bunch of other things that the cat doesnt care about. Who wants to spend 2 minutes trying to get through all the beginning stuff just to get to the point where the cat can try to play. By then we have both lost interest!
We used to enjoy this for our older cat. But after not using it for a long time, downloaded it again for a recently adopted new cat. Unfortunately, the current Cat Fishing 2 version just goes to a grey screen that crashes back to the home page on our old iPad Air (MD786LL/A). The problem is probably that this iPad only accepts iOS up to 12.4.9.
After the update, all we get is a black screen and then a crash. Kittens cant play with a broken app. We deleted and reinstalled and still just black screen and crash. So sad.
It used to be a fun game for kittens. Not so much when they are older. Now you have to sign up for emails. We already buy Purina products. We dont need more emails.
We trie this with three cats and not one looked at it for more than .2 seconds. Would not recommend. 0/10.
Dont waste your time with this app. They are just trying to get your information. The actual game for the cats is horrible and our cats were not interested, even though they love watching YouTube videos for cats. It seems like they spent more time trying to get to know you and your personal information than actually developing the game.

Our cat loved the old version! Sadly since the update about 6 months ago, it wont load on our iPad.
Just downloaded it and it doesnt even boot up, just a dark grey screen. IPad is all updated as well.

Our cat used to run to us every time he heard the water noise. And he would play the game with the old graphics for 10-20 minutes. It was a five star app. Now that it has gotten a fancy update with its graphics he really isnt into it.
Our cat used to go crazy for the old version and now has no interest in this version.

Our cats were only in the beginning (about a year ago) interested in the game. And that for only about two minutes. We just opened the game again to see if they would be interested again, but now we have to sign up for it? With terms and conditions? We dont think so! We thought of it as advertising or bonus for buying the food. We deleted the app.
