Bloo kid is probably one of our favorite Mario rip offs no bad reviews from us. Just one thing, we need Bloo Kid 3!!! WHERE IS BLOO KID NOW?! ()
This is arguably our favorite game in the App Store and the worlds and enemies were all extremely well designed, our only complaint is that on the iPhone X, it cuts off the game on the borders about an inch and we would really like full-screen gameplay.
This game is very fun but hard and in 5-11 there is a soft lock in the final wave of enemies if you mess up the shield knight falls in those spiky holes and you have to restart that entire level again so we would like this soft lock to be fixed.
When we downloaded Bloo Kid, we went into it rather excited. We do have a soft spot for platforming games, especially in a pixelated format, and this game looked like it had promise. We were rather surprised to find, however, that the game was not a side-scrolling platformer, but instead a 2d survival game, where the screen stays on the same area the entire time and the player must jump on the heads of the enemies until all waves have been defeated. While at first we were a bit disappointed (as the advertising had not hinted at the game being a single screen survival), we soon found myself enjoying the game, as the gameplay is solid and the controls are wonderfully smooth (usually). The graphics are incredibly eye-pleasing, and we enjoyed the classic retro tunes the levels offered, even if they were a bit repetitive at times. But to those thinking this may be a solid download, beware! The difficulty on this game is absolutely insane! The first few levels ease you in just fine, but platforming with the sometimes unresponsive controls while dodging projectiles from four enemies at once… In the second world?? Ridiculous. In fact, we are inclined to believe that the developers didnt even play test their own game. A perfect example are the Dark Knight Enemies. In World 2, the player encounters Knight Enemies that dash forward when they are horizontal to Bloo Kids position. Later on, in World 5, the player meets a new type of Knight, the Dark Knight. These darker variations follow the same behavior mechanics, but will also block attacks from above (which are required to kill them). This means that the only way to attack them is to hit them in the middle of their dash attack. If you combine this with a spiked pit, you have a major problem. If the enemy dashed into the pit (an incredibly easy to make mistake) the Dark Knight will be invulnerable from above. This means that to make the Dark Knight vulnerable, the player must jump on the spikes and take damage. This forced damage can end a run very quickly. If the developers had tested their game, they would have realized this issue, and either reworked the Dark Knight or not put Dark Knights in levels with spike pits. This is not the case, and many levels are unreasonably hard due to this issue. The game is charming, but due to its nonsensical difficulty, we have to give it a pass.
Please please let us know when you guys get the game to not Be hard.
Too much ads even when it is on airplane mode, too much bugs which mainly comes from the stupid knights with shields with bug out the game and soft locks it making us restart.
We get the game is supposed to be hard but this is insanely difficult. We are moving around and we suddenly jump. What the hell now we took damage and lost the flawless.
It was fun at first but then we found it impossible to get 3 stars in a level. (I only got one level with 3 stars it was the first level.)
Well we thought this was was going to be a platformer where you run throught worlds instead of just killing enemies easily.
Its just bad. Dont download this.
This game is rigged as HELL. The enemies are so poorly designed, to the point where some enemies just do the same thing as others, but harder And sometimes, they make impossible for you to pass through a part without you knowing what to expect. Itll take you at least seven tries to figure out how to beat one specific. AND they put the enemies in the WORST places, no joke, we cant even pass World 4 because they put a Knight, a toad thingy, and a three way shooting plant RIGHT NEXT TO EACH OTHER, and it was right above lava! And sometimes, you have no choice but to lose a heart so that you can beat the enemy. They made the defeat as many enemies as you can thing WAY too difficult. Our suggestion? Make the enemies less rigged, add some new enemies that require actual strategy, and to NOT PUT THE ENEMIES IN THE WORST POSSIBLE PLACES.
We’ve been enjoying playing through this game, and was really suprised that there was an update. It hadn’t updated since 2013 aparently, so it’s really cool that they updated it. Great game, you should definitley get it.
We’ve played and loved this game, but when the new update came out, we had to delete and redone load the game because the update wasn’t working. We decided to play through the game again, but in world 3 level 9, we’ve found that once you complete it, the star doesn’t appear, and so the level never ends. We can’t move on to the new world 8, and am stuck. We’re still giving it five stars, because we know this game deserves it, but it would be nice to see this fixed.
We have loved this game sends it came out, and the second game even more. The bosses, the music, and the actual levels are all amazing. It’s really nice to see that they gave a little kind of "bonus world" for fans of the series. We really like world 8, but there is one problem. The world 8 boss automatically dies after only one hit. Which is really weird. Not sure if this is actually a glitch or not, but if it is, it would be nice if it was fixed.
After round1 there is no noise its isolated pls fix.
This is hands down the BEST platformer and possibly the best game we have ever played on our ipad, it is EXTREMEMLY challenging, when you get to the 3rd level pack, it gets really hard and you want to keep on playing and playing it is very addicting and we want to play more and more, this is a must have for any ipad gamer. We have been playing this game for a year now and it has never disappointed us once, every boss is unique and offers a unique way of defeated the boss, every boss has weaknesses and strengths, this game is definitely a must have.

Most platformers on iOS devices are tough since they try to keep the side scrolling involved. This game does a great job removing that and making it more playable on a touch screen.
We loved it simple but challenging and entertains for hours this is a must have for any app gamer. We hope there’s more to come like bloo kid.
It’s great and if you don’t know how to play then look up gameplays. Only bad thing is we don’t have any idea how to pass level 6 6 Lol Some body tell us how?
We have Bloo kid 2 on 3ds and when we found out it was on the iPad we were like whaaaaat? This is awesome!
It’s a really good platformer that reminds you good old NES days. Plot is simple, but gameplay is fun and challenging towards the end.
Let’s be honest this was a waste of hitting the "install" button. GAME SUCKED. Don’t by there crap!
We think this is the 2 best game we have ever played.
One of the best pixel apps ever! Pretty entertaining and a lot like the old Mario’s, which we really love. Annoying at times but still a greatly fun app! Please add multiplayer!!!!!!!!!

We really enjoyed this game. We were looking for something similar to Mario and this definitely sufficed. Loved it.
Why does everyone say this is bad, no glitches, not easy, this game is the bomb. You gotta try it. Oh the irony. People requested a Mario style and of course it does better… We still haven’t played past the first level of the sequel, yet we’ve beaten this 3 times and we’re about to do our 4th.
We really like this app… But Its sort of a rip off to Mario though… But if we have to get a dumb Mario game on iOS for 6$ then no! We’ll just take a copy of it with a different name! It’s the same thing just not paying 6$ So who cares! Just go on with ur lives!

This game is fun but it has these obnoxious ads that pop out every round. Can they at least make the ends pop up after 3 rounds. But it’s a fun game overall.
It’s a good game, kills time, and reminds us of the old Mario bros games. We wish there powerups though. Also it’s the same map the whole level and to beat the levels you have to kill enough enemies and survive.
The graphics are colorful and the levels are very easy. The controls and everything else is great. We recommend this game.
It’s alright until we got to world 3 level 8 no way to pass it it’s impossible . Went online to figure it out and there version is complete opposite of our yet we have to same phone.

We thought this as a game was reasonably decent. It has a few flaws though, especially the fact that it isn’t always consistent with the animation. In all, though, it was a good game and the best to the creator(s)
A few minutes after we beat the final boss this game literally becomes unplayable forever. One time we also found a bug where Bloo Kid clips into the wall. So please fix both bugs.
