What Makes Chess Multiplayer Stand Out

Play chess against the computer or against friends around the world!
Chess is one of the most popular games worldwide, this app offers you three different game modes.

  • Single-player: play against the computer by yourself
  • local multiplayer: play against a friend on one device

Especially cool is the multiplayer mode:

Ads displayed on the top don't allow to navigate back to the game since close(x) key gets hidden under the Ad. You have to disconnect a good game for no reason.

We love chess and we've been playing it for most of our life but there something to be said about the matchmaking system it's nonexistent well at least one that takes a players level into account maybe it might receive at least two stars if it was made for players who had just begun we had barely started playing and was already against "and we checked this" the number 3 player in the game to put it bluntly not a fair game no matter how experienced you are in our opinion so for that very fatal flaw you get 1 star because we could not leave it at no stars.

This is the worst app of the worst ever created. If all the pieces except for the pawns are gone, then it says it's a draw. We strongly do not recommend it to nobody. Don't download this app!!! Find another one.

You can't add or invite your friends.

This dumb game crashes way too much fix this as soon as possible ASAP.

Seems good at first, but after a few matches you get stuck with Chinese people who beat you in 2 minutes. Needs better matching. DO NOT GET THIS APP IF YOU ENJOY CHESS AND WANT A FAIR GAME.

The app is ok , freezes a lot , could be a lot better.

Merci beaucoup pour les concepteurs de cette application. Trs chaleureuses salutations.

Lots of fun …. Best part is the great chat app…. Learn about all kinds of folks and where they are BIG problem…. How can you stop jerks from simply sitting there and making you end. Even if they time out they can sit there and force you to leave, which becomes a loss for you.

This is the best chess game we've played on the App Store because it has both single and multiplayer and the pieces are easy to see. However there doesn't seem to be any difference in the difficulty levels. We've been playing chess since we were 5 and we can barely beat easy mode occasionally. People who haven't really played chess are just going to get frustrated and uninstall but we like the challenge. The CPU always seems to be a few steps ahead and if you don't threaten it's pieces constantly, it will set up moves against you very quickly and beat you and since you have to constantly threaten it's pieces, you can't really set up your own attacks because it will beat you to it everytime. Yes this is how chess is played but for someone who is just learning they won't even be able to practice any strategies before getting absolutely destroyed even on easy. Please dumb down the CPU a little for the easier modes and this game will be perfect.

It doesn't usually realize when the opponent leaves the game, making you wait up to five minutes for it to randomly decide if you won or not. Often it will give the game to the opponent that abandoned the game. Also, game time is unlimited, but each move can take up to five minutes so losing players often wait until the time limit is nearly up for every single move in hopes that the winner will just give up. If you you can live with these flaws, the game has some benefits as it connects you with players from all corners of the world.

We have a iPad air and this app is very very slowly.

App freezes a lot and now our chess board is really small now.

We really like this game but sometimes there is people here writing really bad things supporting terrorism we hate that please do something about it.

We're not too good at chess but we should be able to win on easy sometimes.

This app needs to be fixed as it tends to freeze right in the middle of the game forcing you to lose a winning game. It can be extremely frustrating.

At times black moves first!?! Inappropriate rules (stale mate when down to 2 pawns no matter if you are about to get a queen. Game freezes or disconnects even if you have reliable internet. Too bad as many decent players play this app.

Like the last guy said , this app doesnt follow the chess rules for draws. In fact , now players are using that fact to try an escape checkmates when on the verge of losing . When players are down to only their kings and pawns it declares a draw , even if a person can still win by promoting to a queen . It needs to be changed , NOW ! ^~^.

If you get down to just kings and pawns it calls the game a draw even if you're about to get a queen. Additionally, it doesn't call the game a draw if both players repeat the same moves 3 times in a row. We're not sure why they feel like they should change rules that have been around for hundreds of years. Seriously, what where they thinking.

It's a fun app, but it desperately needs the draw by 3 fold repetition function and an 'agree to draw' option. Otherwise, it'll forever remain subpar to other chess multiplayer apps.

Marvelous app. Really gives us the opportunity to display our dominance over all these Chess peasants.
