Community Insight:
Best among (cheese) games? Its (chess).
The best among the other cheese games.
Es una app muy divertida y excelente.
New update came out that pushes advertisements each time you refresh… Horrible lagg.
NEVER lost a single game & now it's saying we have 3 losses?!?! We will make sure this app gets over 100 bad reviews if this is not fixed ASAP. Try us.
The his game crashes a lot we were in the middle of a game and it just crashed and we can't play on it. So we deleted it. PLEASE FIX THIS.
Sorry to say that this is a kind of cheating as you can easily loose by pausing your time and then you find yourself loose a lot of points even if your are ahead of your opponent Its a kind of cheating unfair very slow.
We were playing online, and out of nowhere, we just lost. There was plenty of time on the clock, but it just suddenly said that we lost in the middle of our turn. Fix this please.
One of the best programming app for chess very well thought out, friendly, and well written.
We were on a winning streak til we played this decent player and we took their queen, next thing you know we couldn't make a move and time ran out,,, why? Oh right the app gave them the right to keep on pushing the draw button and all we can do is keep clicking no… Thanks guys well done, think about it.
By far the best online chess app on iOS App Store, DO NOT CHANGE.
Straight forward and easy to use offline or online.
We'll play it, but the pawn should have a round head, not pointy like a bishop.
Pretty good we like the level up system and win loss stats, the pawns look like bishops and everything is kinda small. This game is ok we will play it.
Simple and functional, except that the pawns look like bishops, the bishops look like pieces from another set, most players abandon the game before it begins. There is no option for reviewing games–they are not saved, no game score is visible, the back feature fails the instant a player has left the room. With so many other available chess apps, we see nothing that recommends this one.
Can't tell what the pieces are, no options to change them! Too much crap on the screen makes everything small. Boo.
It keeps updating update for the last one week. There is no way we can stop it or uninstall the Game Center app from our iPhone.
It's a good good game you have do tried.
Can't update after we purchased game. Still have free version.
Just purchased fill version, but we can't update the game.
Good software but a thing that could be improved would be the ending of the game. The final position goes away immediately not allowing for any analisys. A simple thing that would make the program so much better.
This program crashed 3 times in a row. Other than that it plays a pretty good game.
Nice game but could use a feature to correct mistakes or take back a move. It's a pain to hit the wrong key by mistake and get "you lose!".
This is a good one to learn from by beating it. The first download Played white with the kings on the D file, but they did upgrade it. Now it works perfectly.
We hate this game do not waste your time on this crap.
We played this ap up to level 10. We did not think there was a level 10 lol. Anyhow, for a phone ap it is OK, we did not think the ap played at a master level at level 9. It made too Many obvious blunders and can be baited easily. This ap may be too difficult for a novice player but is not as challenging as expected from the high levels and would be disappointing to the seasoned chess player.
You can get very confused looking at it. There is also lots of advertisment.
This game cheats!!!!! You can not jump your king over your own piece!!! This game is designed to never be beat even if it makes an illegal move.
Music is very annoying , we wish it was possible to turn it off. Combinations played by computer become very predictable after several games, a little variety in strategy would've nice. Other then that concept of no replay is nice.
Crap app. Don't waste your time.
The free edition is probably about 1000 to 1300. Moves very quickly (can finish a game in 7 minutes). Many opening traps (lost many games because of that) Only grip is that the human player only plays white.
We have been using the free version. The game playing skill of this game is good – it will challenge you at most levels of chess and can vary its game, play defensively or aggressively, etc. BUT it has some weaknesses. The biggest problems are 1) not having a record of pieces taken, so you have to count what is on the board to compare; 2) the difficulty of studying the board layout following a win or a loss (look fast because in a few seconds it is gone, never to return); 3) the lack of a two-player mode; 4) the lack of obvious signals when you are in check; and 5) the impenetrability of the scoring and levels system. (Incidentally, in response to a comment below, castling is easy – just try to move the king two squares over instead of one).
We have the free version. We "lost" 2 games hitting buttons to find out what they did. How about some instructions with the menu? Also, we have played chess most of our life. We have always played against a living opponent. We have never played an electronic version before. How does one castle in this game? Again, how about some instructions in menu? Don't tell us to Facebook. We like our life private. Our favorite line: we do not Face; we do not Twit; we do not Ya-hoo; And we never intend to! Menu does not have to tell how to play chess. It is safe to assume that one who uses it should already be acquainted with the game. However, it would be nice to know what all the little buttons do before one presses them and how to make special moves such as castling. This should have been obvious to the programmer. If one reaches an opponent's first rank with a pawn, can one change it to any piece they would want, and how.
