What Makes Chess Prime 3D Pro Stand Out
Chess Prime 3D is one of the best designed 3D chess games for the iPad / iPhone. It provides learning support for novice players, a real challenge for the experienced players and fun. Swipe in any of four directions to view the board from any angle and play the chess game in 3D / 2D.
Chess Prime 3D supports both ‘one player’ and ‘two player’ game play, so you can play with your friends or with millions of players around the world, or against a challenging computer opponent with adjustable difficulty level.

We find the game to be most instructive and challenging. We play it at least once everyday and can see our strategy thinking changing and improving.
Ok game fir online play. Get used to long waits both to get your match up and for your opponent to make their moves! Fir some of these guys you see grass hoeing or paint drying FASTER than their moves! The game gives you a clock fir the whole game But not one for each move.
Waited and waited, no players. They got our money, dont let em get yours.
We tried another 3D chess app first, and disliked its locked screen rotation and its easy (too easy) and normal (too hard) level modes. Finally decided to switch and tried this one. We love it. It gives us practice scenarios as well. So happy we switched. Edit: two things we would like to see: captured pieces remain visible on the side, and stats for playing against the computer. Then this would be a GREAT game app.
If you do 50 puzzles and click the no adds button and upgrade for 2 dollars you have to restart everything.
We havent played long, but so far its one of the better chess games on iOS. We really enjoy it.

We like that we can select a level of expertise that challenges our level but not to the point of discouragement.

Very nice chess app with good skill-building puzzles. Only trouble we had was upgrading to Pro version after downloading standard version. This caused problems trying to connect with friends. Had to ultimately delete both apps and re-install Pro version.
In this game, we can choose our difficulty levels, play chess against anyone, and there are even fun puzzles that you can do if you dont want to play the full game of chess. There are not ads that can interrupt your games and there is music in the background to help you focus.
A terrible chess game!! Maybe on a higher level it will be better. We shall check this out.

Ive had this app for only a few days but it runs smoothly, doesnt crash, doesnt lag up and best of all the adds are a constant annoyance even tho we did purchase the 2 dollar remove adds option. Great app guys.

This is a good app to play chess with friends and other competitors via the net. Nice graphics that makes you feel like you are sitting in front of a real chess board. You can rotate the board to look at it from different angles. Nice. Has not crashed yet and seems stable and reliable. What could be better: Add a feature that allows the player to confirm if he really wants to resign or give up. A friend of ours has accidentally resigned from two games that were very competitive. No way to recover. Gone. Annoying. It would be nice to also have a little red dot show up next to the app when it is your turn. Just like in many other games. While you get a notification, if you miss that, the only way to find out is go in and check the active games. Still a very nice app that we like. It could just be a bit better if the above issues would be addressed.

Great chess game for iPhone. 3D graphics are great. Different levels to challenge beginners and novices alike.
Better than 2D chess. Servers are better and find opponents quicker with prime, so pay the $2.
There needs to be a better point system!! Win a match +3 loose a match -10.
This is exactly what we have been looking for.
We cant listen to music that isnt the weird piano music they have playing in the background. Otherwise its a solid app and gameplay.

Having not played for decades, we want a little practice to remember some openings and recover lost skills. We were worried that easy levels would still be too hard, but we have managed to beat it on level 2! $2 avoids the annoying ads.
We withdrew our last assessment of the app and decided that we needed to revise it. While finding other chess players in the real world to play, we have discovered that this app is great for a beginner like us as is teaching us how to move, what traps to look for and how to refine and learn new strategies. Playing the computer is challenging but very educational. We once bought a copy of Bobby Fischers book of how to play chess. It was trying to read through an advanced chemistry text book. Nothing made sense. Then a couple of weeks ago we found a book by BK Publishing called Chess for Children. Its more our speed and we can practice moves we learn in the book on this app. This app also allows you to play yourself. This is a big plus because it give us a chance to go slow and see how each move works and what the result of the move Im learning is. The app also has many 2-3 moves to checkmate the opponent which are a good exercise too. You can set it up to play with two (in person), or you and someone else on line if you can find someone. $2.99 lets you lose the adds for a year. You can change the colors of the board and the chess pieces. When you play the computer, you can change the difficulty from 1-10. (1 being the beginner level and 10 being the very advanced level.) Its well worth having on our iPad and iPhone and is a great way to pass time when you have to wait an airplane, doctors appointment or the dentist. We would recommend this to anyone with a deep interest in chess or in learning chess. With a good basic book about chess, you will have a winning combination.
Was soo excited so we blew through the puzzles fast Wish there were more puzzles would buy even if we have to pay for it.
We like this app except for 2 things: 1. When playing the Computer, the actual Player, regardless which color/side/pieces are chosen, should be able to choose if they want to go first or not. 2. Dont force a draw. One player wins and one loses-no draw. Graphics are great.
We like the app overall. Fun way to burn some time against a computer or do puzzles. The online match system seems dead. We have only gotten one match after attempting to get one for days. Also wishing the difficulty slider had a bit more info. The jump from one setting to another seems absolutely massive. At 1 the cpu blunders left and right. At 2-5 we cannot tell the difference between these numbers, difficulty jump is massive from 1. 6-10 is an even bigger jump but we can at least see a difference from 9-10 we are seeing an odd bug occasionally though that is extremely frustrating. In some cases we are seeing a pawn capture horizontally. In one case we moved a rook to capture a pawn only for it to move left and capture our rook. Not sure if the game got confused and thought the pawn was on the previous space. Overall confused by this and frustrated as it can instantly cost a winning game.
Always try to do it online but it never works.

We did this ap with the free version, but the ads got a little annoying. For $1.99 you can go pro. The game does all the things a chess ap. Should do. Very nice looking screen, better than most actually. Yeah, go with it.
Ok..this is not a bad chess engine however…up against the Mephisto Exclusive Senator….Mephisto wins hands down.
What makes this an awesome buy is not only the game but the service. We had a software problem where the game crashed. Told the company and it got resolved. Thanks Anton.
